Is 2:03.723 a good time round Monza? I can't remember what I got in the Honda last season.
Well if prenta doesn't show up again then it's perma-ban time.. I can tolerate AWOL once, but not twice.
Hmm okay. So possibly only VW at Monza/this season.

As I said, the VW was like on ice in some places around GVS. I also had to really hang it out at both Toyko and GVS to keep pace with other cars. Also my pole lap was helped a little by a slower car I picked up draft from.. As such since I was pushing so hard just to keep up the laps in the VW were very inconsistent. If I were to have took it easier I didn't stand a chance of touching the Teggy at Toyko, a power track, where the VW shouldn't struggle. Which ofc means everywhere but Monza will be an uphill struggle for the VW..

Anyway as most know I can usually pull pace from any FF that others might try and throw it in the bin. The Seat last season was a good example.
Yeah I saw you in the sand a couple of times at GVS turn 1 but when you were staying on track it looked to be cornering well. Sports soft aren't exactly slippery so to feel like ice I'd say your setup needs work.

Tokyo isn't a power track IMO. It's 50/50 because of all the high speed corners where the 'handling' cars can carry way more speed. If it was truly a power track the 330 would have been down the back, like it will be at Monza, Le Sarthe and probably Rome.

Rob if you tried the VW you'd know. It has an inherent ability to slide sideways more than any other FF, some say it handles like a FR with the way it slides. When controlled it is my favorite part of the car.

I have had that particular VW since it came out and have a pretty good tune on it to use the oversteer but tame it at the same time. The problem it faces here is it's weight, it's simply too heavy to hang with the Honda so I had to drive it in such a way it was very very difficult. Where in contrast the Honda stuck like glue in corners I had to really saw the wheel to just stay in control, then the VWs usual ace, it's straight line speed wasn't there so I could barely hold on.

I was the person who proved how fast the VW was back in Toca. (There was major differences though. No LSD, RH tyres, No aero and different weight/hp in all the cars)

But I'm not saying it's a million miles slower, I'm saying it needs 20 kgs off just to help it's cornering, that's all.

No, it's the most fun. I still rank the Honda Civic '08 and DC5 Integra to be the best FF chassis on GT5.

Right, i see your problem. Yep, I've not tried the VW. In fact i've not tried any of the other cars. Picked the BMW blind, purely based on being FR.

But from what i've seen I would say DC5 is the best all rounder of the choices available.

OK, I'm reintroducing the '07 Mazda Atenza (305/1200). It's minimum weight is 1219 but it's still good.

There's 4 spaces open to all, including reserves. First come, first serve. Andy has said he's up for a change so I'll count that as one space filled.

Two reasons really. One is to offer a way out for anyone who struggles with the VW. The second is that we have 21 sign-ups now, and the reserves only have Hyundai, BMW or Nissan to choose from.

Obviously if anyone moves, that of course opens spaces elsewhere which can be filled if you want to change and it's open.

To give everyone a little extra time to decide, the car/team selection deadline will be delayed 24 hours until Tuesday 7pm UK.

Scirocco may yet get its weight reduction, depending on performance in the first 2 or 3 rounds.

Hopefully this is satisfactory for all.

Mazdas a polar opposite, great grip and stability but lacks a little front end bite. It's always a reliable old brute.

Precisely why it's the perfect stop-gap measure. :sly:

There is a reason why Mazda has been in TOCA for 6 seasons in a row ;)

Listen, as long as you don't drive like a jackass on track I won't treat you as one :) - just hope the divebombers and PIT manoeuvring drivers have gone.

As myself being one of the stewards; I shall play my part in making sure no bad driving is present. No matter how "GT Famous" they may be - they shall not be welcome if they are unable to drive with care...

Well, it looks like Humberside Racing may have a successful season after my amazing win in Live For Speed this evening; winning by 2 Laps above drivers who have raced cars for more that 10 years!

So - after myself gaining a first career victory with HSR; I think we could be competitive for this Season. So watch out! :P

This was a 30 lap race; and I led from the start...

Also, congratulations to Strawman Andy who claimed 3rd position! The GTPlanet Members showed the IAAG members what we're made of! :P

Holy christ you idiot!👎
