Interesting choice of car, although I know it's fast (as already proved in this series) a FR drivetrain at these specs does nothing for me.
I just can't seem to get any speed out of any of the BMWs
Expect the BMW to lag behind a bit at the power tracks, but be right up there on the handling stuff. Over the course of the season the points should even out.

Have also been thinking of some kind of middle ground. Settings only go up in 10s though so I'd either make it 1270 or 1280.
Could do with some testing of some BTCC-5 cars after the race tonight if anyone's up for it. Practice races would be especially helpful. I can run these cars at the two weights and check the difference.

I would have it in but I feel it's just easier to keep the non-aero cars apart from the aero cars, because the people who drive the cars that can't use aero will always have superior straight-line speed but always complain about higher tyre wear.
So it's either all cars have aero, or none of them do. I have considered banning aero for future seasons, but that might disadvantage one drivetrain more than another.

What do you think would happen if I gave the BMWs 20-30hp power boost? Would it make them too good on the twisty stuff?

At most, give it an extra 5-10hp. 20-30hp will just make it run away.

The only pain would be how to do checks on race night without kicking them out all the time, since they're the heaviest cars in the field.
