If I'm in a random online lobby and dominating, I'll do something to even the field and give myself more of a challenge. Our favourite thing is to take a pit-stop even though it isn't required. You'd be amazed at the amount of times canyon and I have done this and still won the race or been very close to winning.

Canyon has been known to park up and give people a headstart before. Once on Monaco he gave everyone a 30 second headstart and still won the race. I came second and I couldn't understand why canyon caught me up, because I'm usually quick around Monaco....after the race I discovered that I was on the wrong tyres, sports soft instead of racing soft.

Also using a car with lower PP than everyone else can keep you on your toes quite a lot, it makes it much harder to win and being amongst the pack fighting (cleanly) for that good finish is where you learn the most.

I should be able to make it too. Anyone else fancy having a race? Meet in Rolo's lounge?

Ill come mate

indeed they are :) sadly noone can record since season 2 or 3...

I have a very basic capturing device, it records standard def but it's not too bad, I was thinking of doing highlights of each round of btcc to put on utube, but I'm not sure, check out my current Vids on my channel, link below (signature)

I'm just making a brew and then I'll be on my way to Rolo's lounge for a thrash.

Hey guys,

Seems a lot has happened since i've been away....we've already lost a couple of racers :(

I should be back racing this thursday.....no doubt be a little rusty though.

Ill have to ask rolo how he will do it , my guess is we will both get 2nd place pts .

What I would do in that instance is add the total points for 2nd and 3rd together and divide by 2, so it would be (18 + 16) / 2 = 17 points each.

I need to check the replays for the extra points and then I'll try to come in. 👍

Gotta say Stig, I was mega impressed with you taking me on the outside of Parabolica in one of the races. There's hope for you yet 👍

well those look as good as geeky's 👍

If i had the ps3 close to the pc and a couple of hunderds to burn i would get a dedicated card to do it from the component...

saw a few of them but there's no solution to the pc-ps3 distance lol

Sorry testers, I DC'd. Had to go soon anyway.

This one looks like a real curveball round. Could really shake up the order. I think I'm going well but I'm a second off the top FRs, and 2 seconds off Red. :indiff:

that Monaco race was funny...and to be fair we usually find competitive rooms but like you said we do do pit stops or i'll give the others a head start...but nothing is quite as satisfying as beating somebody's tuned car in a bog standard off the shelf recommended car of equal pp or in my case slightly less pp...8)

that's good going cause at the moment he is faster than I am...but there is still plenty of time to practice and tune/re tune our cars...but it really isn't an ff friendly track...but that in itself is a good thing for the championship...

Yeah man. I also got a dc issue >_< but if i get around those issues i should be good to take the fight to the fr cars with die

I 'think' that if I can latch onto the back of an FR during the race, I'll be okay. There is no denying that Rob is flying in his Crossfire, but with my straightline speed I'm not exactly miles behind. If I get caught in the mid-field pack I'm going to struggle. :(

It was fun running with you guys tonight and having a practice run, it was also good to see what racing lines other people are taking and what to look out for in order to avoid a collission. I'd advise everyone to have a practice with a couple of other cars on track and run together. It's very helpful.

Stig was certainly getting better as we pounded around. :) Just needs to keep his cool.

This is what I found from yesterday: There are alot of straight sections on the track almost 1 after every very sharp corner so if you don't let a FR get away in the corner by keeping in their slipstream then right after your back on their tail so if you stick to them then you can overtake on the main straight,

I think your lines may have looked the most unusual from my point of view but they allowed you to have a greater speed out of the corners cus you went so wide

Yesterday was more beneficial than I imagined, I started by loosing by a huge margin and ended up winning with the help of red's slipstream and you guys slowed down for us after the pits, being under red's slipstream was very handy in many ways, I'm gonna do a time attack tonight using the lines I learnt yesterday and watching some of yesterday's replays of you and red

I thought that also i tried to keep it neat and tidy but dies line gets the jump out of the turns

He's on an advantage using those lines tho. However u don't have to go very wide when slipstreaming is concerned as all you have to do is stay very close behind them when you come out of the corner, I'm gonna use this technique to climb up the field, it's clean and really works on this track that is FR friendly,
Still not sure how to make up 4 secs if you were held back and want to catch up, I guess you just aim for good lap times

I have the bonus of starting on front 2 rows race 1 my goal is to get away good avoid 1st corner crash and try to scamper off before die or the fr's are let loose. Also i found a cheeky overtaking point ill show you later.
