btw i have recently in order to practice for our races opened public lobbies using susuka monza and GVS and set them up as per btcc rules regarding tires, aids, slipstream etc ...305 bhp but i left it at 1200 kgs weight ...only ff and fr cars were available to use...i had a few different cars to race against and to be fair i had the advantage in that i already had a dedicated cr ready but....i dicd have some fabulous races against S2000's a couple of silvias and in one race i beat a honda that requested i drop to 1080 kgs to allow him to use it...i kept my car at 1200 ....lol...just food for thought on the weight issues....

That's a good idea but i disslike random people because they, get aggressive easy, don't drive like you guys, and are mostly slow

yeah some ar way to slow others cut cornes and the ones that get to agresive get kicked but it gives you Asombody else to gauge your performance with and Bit stops it from being just you pounding around getting bored.....besides its funny to hear someone rant about an alfa beating their S2000...lol

True, true xD remined me of my old viper, makes mince meat of top class lm

its not that i want to cause a disruption to the season ....but im up for a weeks testing of the fr's (yes im on holiday thurs and thus would miss the race)so tbh im bias if im honest BUT the fr's do need a boost some how ....having said that im happy enough to hear all about race night the day after

The drop score system has the ability to throw a spanner in the works. It ain't over yet, it has only just started.

i just tested my CSLbmw at 1300 kgs it has no problems keeping pace with my Alfa at HSR literally the same top speed im actually sure that if i fiddle with it i could make it faster....so if anyone's got one tune it and try it for your selves ......

Out of interest was HSR your only testing ground (so far)?

I would be interested to see comparison lap times from a few tracks 👍

I was in the 2:04s at GVS (Reverse). Can't remember the exact tenth, but I think it was low-mid. Quick tune of aero, ballast and transmission, not a proper setup.

Great pic Rob. 👍 That's my favourite moment in my BTCC career thus far.

How we managed to race so close without incident is amazing.

Yeah it was funny. You pushing Andy and me pushing skeng. Each trying to get our draft train to turn 1 first.

tested it at autum ring ,highspeed ring, cape ring periphery, grandvalley, and Tokyo so far and it dominated the testing...I did manage to get it hooked up pretty well...for sake of arguments..a high 1:22 around autum ring at 1300 kgs compared to the high 1:23 the alfa did...running it with sports softs I did a 1:20...

btw that's using sports med tires and no rear wing...I could get the times down a fraction if I were to run it with a wing...1:11.5 is achievable at highspeed ring running it without a wing

Hmm sounds like it is either way too light (only 100kg lighter than original) or simply the wrong car :(

I wonder what would happen if the CSL were to be allowed to use SS tires and carry the original weight? As it is obviously a faster car, but could be too fast like that. This may have already been tested, I wouldn't know?

I was on the verge of rage quitting on Autumn Ring while trying to keep up with the CSL. It is so much faster than an FF on the handling tracks and also just as fast (if not faster) on the power tracks too. It has flipped the ballance and made it far worse than it is already.
