Great racing guys. Sooo much fun. Sorry for any bumps, wasn't intentional(except for the bump drafting:P) but overall I think it was pretty clean racing, especially for a reverse grid second race. Confused as to why no one wanted to draft with me though.:confused: Since my teammate is mia I guess I'll be running independent
 
Apologies for the R1 qualifying mess, I guess in future we will have to make sure everyone can see all drivers before we start. Not seeing one or two might be alright, but seven is a bit far :P I think the 5-min Race Alone Q was a good back-up?

Handicap effect seems to be limited with this car, which is something to bear in mind in future!

@quade420 Matt said he'd only be gone this week so he'll probably race from now. I've still got you down as a team if you want to stay that way? If not let me know and I'll switch you both to Independents.

Stretch is on an AWOL warning already.

Frustrating works debut. The pit lane screwed me over in 2 straight races. Not a great start for either PAR team.

I don't use it because it's a distraction and doesn't work all that well imo. I feel I have good spatial awareness and don't really need it.

Watching replays, as mentioned by quade and Third_Reign does seem to be freezing PS3s. I've got R1 down fine but it crashed on R2. If the problem persists then I may not be able to award the extra points this week, or until the problem is fixed.
 
I've got R1 paused right now. If it lets me watch the rest I can give you the info you need. I didn't lead any laps and I'm sure I didn't get a fast one.

This week's race managed to sap 99% of my enthusiasm for gt6. :grumpy:

Please let's avoid that mess on qualifying.

Also i didn't like the "who cares"-like answer to my complain for me not being on pole in R2; it moved me to second place giving madbean draft free. Also i was expecting street to let cars through so i was overly conservative waiting for a free gap :banghead:

It also seems this car's not for me and i'm WAY too 🤬 much slow and hopeless... I dunno how many others are attempting to use a wheel, but with the tump-fest it is it's close to impossible to keep control of the car. :indiff: Also some people "overdrives" using the cars around as a way to stabilize their car :irked:

Draft is ridicolous too... i was passed by 3 cars bump-drafting each other in the most impossible of ways it looked like a train coming from nowhere at 270km/h... Real is the only decent draft.:nervous:

My races where horribles, full of contacts, mistakes, bad luck and the results shows. you can't go anywhere if you're the slowest on track :dunce:

I'll try to stay on and see if things improve, but the track selection... :nervous: Doesn't seem it'll be friendly in any way.

I agree, R1 Q was a mess, but since it's a new game certain things are only going to become obvious when they happen. This has already proven to be a learning season and will continue to be... in my eyes better to have everyone in the same car while this happens to avoid further problems. I think the 5-min Race Alone option is a good back-up that we can rely on, but I agree we should make sure everyone can at least see all but one other driver before we start.

My bad about Street King, after the Q mess I guess I wasn't in the mood to waste more time manually sorting a grid out. I know that's bad of me and not the done thing, but I guess I acted on impulse. So I apologise to people that upset. I do agree in future though that people should try to filter back into their rightful position in a similar situation.

I still don't believe Real is strong enough, but perhaps we can run a test-race at Indy with draft on Real and see what a difference it makes. That straight at Indy is unusually long though.

Run into one or two problems with the game (replay glitch, Qualifier glitches) but the quality of the racing was very good apart from one or two incidents. The usual kind of stuff. 👍

Should the replays continue to be problematic then I will only be able to award the Race 1 Pole point during the season, as it's clear who earned that and they deserve the reward. I think that's the fairest solution for all.

How much space do you have on your HDD?

Seems strange, I have saved quite a few replays from test races etc and there all fine..?

Sounds dodgy tho, best make back ups of your game saves!

HDD space is a good point, I only have a small HDD so can't comment on whether or not available space is the fix. Does someone with loads of HDD space still suffer the same problems?

The replay issue is certainly a rather large problem for both the stewards and drivers. Drivers can't review the races to report any incidents and stewards aren't able to view any incidents either. Bonus points can't be calculated for leading a lap, or for getting the fastest lap in a race and the only easy solution is to drop the bonus points. That still doesn't resolve the issue of being unable to see the actual race and steward it correctly.

Effective stewarding relies heavily upon the replays, without the reliable replays being available it's going to make the job damn near impossible. we urgently need a fix for this replay issue and it will only come via an update. There are 2 planned updates for this month, but whether they will address the replay issue remains to be seen.

The check if everyone can see everyone is quite simple. If you can't see the person, it will not appear as "on track" even if everyone has the "register car check" active. A short question from the host before the race/qualification is started when everyone is supposed to be on track should be enough. If there are any cars not displayed on track for some, they won't see each other. This can differ from the GT5 "loading bug", which also still exists in GT6, its just harder to pick up if the person in question is displayed on a dark gray file in the list.
 
great racing guys, srry for leaving without saying bye but i disconnected and my ps3 froze.
As a note, i hate the tyres. even when i tried to drive easy on the tyres, they still degraded mega fast. I need to work on this as im losing a fight for win/podium at the end of race.
 
I don't thnk HDD space has anything to do with it as my ps3 is brand new and has plenty of space. For whatever reason I was able to watch all of the races yesterday and that's new for me. Are the rest of the stewards unable to watch the replays too?

She 6/7 mouths old hard drive got loads of room.

Gta5 also makes locks up ps3 new games just pushing the ps3 to far.
Makes you want to buy a ps4 yeah?

It must just be random then, does seem strange tho.

Might even be connected to GT5 game data, I deleted all mine, it's not size related as my reply files range from 39mins to 1hour 30mins!

Me got 500gb and loads of room on it, started ps3 went to see what all the fuss about.
Hit race 2 replay and crash went the ps3 :(

Reboot to check data.

really Ps3 getting pushed to far GTA5 locks it up.
And many games before been blamed for killing the chip/ files in the ps3.

I hover my Pc to keep it clean and that's water cooled.
PS3 well I poke with a never used paint bush in all the holes, with the hover up it butt.
Well same paint bush helps on PC cleaning ;)

Still got my old ps3 up in the bed room the first ps3 60gb to come out.
I never really thought the ps3 was as old as it was really.

Well thinking back it took 3 years maybe for gt5 to come out once the ps3 was with us.
In fact many of my m8s sold the ps3 as there was just no games on the dam thing.
