My time is missing from you list. You sent me a verification though.

Ah, that's right. I forgot you were the one guy who sent me a time through Yahoo. My apologies. Done and fixed.

Good luck next week!

Indeed, although the Alto was the popular choice this time around.

Again, in case anyone missed it, new track is Clubman Stage Route 5, Forward, Dry.

The lack of ABS is more of an issue on this track. i am having trouble running consistent lap times. Haven't quite figured out how quick to take some turns.

I hate to ask, but seeing as how Tuesday is the only night I have free coming up, would it be possible to run this week up until midnight Tuesday? Thanks.

Third, I'm very happy with that as I had one very good lap that was much faster than anything else I managed. I'm pleased I got hold of a Suzuki Alto Works RS-Z, after much searching in the used car dealership - I was originally going to enter in an Alto Works Suzuki Sport Limited but I couldn't see why it was worth the CR 3,500 extra. Good luck to everyone for round two!

I tried some laps in the Autozam AZ-1 thinking it would be fun. It was over 10 seconds slower though. I already had a Cappuccino that was over-modded so I wanted something different. That's when I decided to go cheap so I could add more mods and improve top speed. The RS-Z was the cheapest thing in my UCD so I went with that.

I'm glad my oddball isn't too far off pace.

Edit: Sent my time for round 2. It's fun only having to brake about 3 times during the whole lap. :P

3 times? I'm pretty sure I have to brake 4 times. Once for each left hand turn (not including the esses)...

Yeah you're right, it was 4. Somehow merged the last 2 corners into 1 in my head.

I had originally picked the MIRA TR-XX Avanzato R '97 for this challenge but at 10,899 cr it was a little overpriced compared to the MOVE SR-XX 2WD '97 at 7,368 cr. I wanted to like the Autozam AZ-1 but I couldn't stand the awful sound it makes so I went with the Move thats faster and more fun to drive. I have to shift it about 2000rpm early though. I also didn't think the kei cars would be much fun to drive but having to keep up momentum everywhere really helps me learn how to get the most out of the car and track I'm on. Good luck to everyone the rest of the season and anyone who would like to join in these little cars surprisingly will help teach you the proper technique and race line to use for any car in the game.

Absolutely! I finally learned that you don't have to brake on Tokyo for that little kink. Turn right early over the rumble strip then cut left quickly and you can drive WOT. I realized I could do this in my 250HP cars as well. Might not work for faster cars though...and when racing online, be ready to brake if the guy in front of you doesn't know this.

Urgh. I'm sick but I'm ending this event at its prescribed time anyway.

This week's winner is acsr421. Consistent as always! And congratulations to everyone else who ran this week.

Our next destination will be the Daytona road course, Forward, Wet! Just don't take 24 hours to complete a lap, got it?\

No Daytona wet track that I can find.

Yeah there's no Daytona wet. I dont mind doing Daytona dry but if the point of the round was to be a wet round, then perhaps there's a similar track available but with rain. 💡

It's a pity there aren't more wet tracks to choose from, but then again Daytona is in Florida. Maybe Le Mans or Nurburgring next week, so we can really open the throttle on the long straights and get up to top speed ;)

I've never had this much fun at Daytona before. I took the first corner sideways with a braking drift and completely left my ghost car in the dust.

Hmmm. Okay, it looks like not everyone has posted their times. I am going to extend the deadline to 8:00 PM EST tomorrow, March 22, 2011.

You guys who still need to submit times, you know who you are!

For everyone else, your next destination will be the Circuit de la Sarthe 2005, no chicanes, in the wet. Everybody get to it!

Yeah, that first corner is pretty fun. I set my brake balance to 2/1 to help with brake drifting and it is still plenty strong enough to stop quickly or drift.:)

Well, I've finally submitted my time. I did it yesterday, but hotmail decided it didn't want to attatch my picture again. It's happened twice now :(

I reckon I'll be really off the pace this week, even more so than before

I've not had much time to practice.

The times are up! acsr421 and egriffith are starting to pull away, but with one round left can the others hit their stride and pull back one last time?

Congratulations to VTiRoj, the winner of this week's double Founder's Jackpot!

This week's Founder's Prize is...a signed copy of Planetarian!

...wait, no, it's a digital copy. Meaning it can't be signed and I can't send it out in good integrity.

Erm...sorry.

In any case, stand by! At the end of this week I shall announce the rules for April!

Yaaaaaaaaaaaay! :D

That's okay, I'll just take the girl with the giant lightbulb. :sly: Or is she as small as a lightbulb?

What the---damn the track lists I use! Okay, 2009, no chicanes, wet.

No, that's a gigantic lightbulb used to bring light to part of a planetarium projector.

Yeah you need to update that list. :P

Well it's being used to bring light to my garage. It's fun having an assistant helping out now. :sly:

I keep getting dry weather at Le Sarthe, this'll take ages to get a wet track. :ouch:

This time I'm going to outright announce it. I'm extending the finale of Keicar Month to end on Tuesday, 10:00 PM EST, March 29 2011.

That same day I will announce the theme for April and the starting date for that month of competition! Get your entries in early and make sure to attend races!

^ I am so glad you said that. I've not had time at all this week to even have a go due to school work. I was just going to have to do about two laps tonight and submit whatever time I had. I've got a couple of hours free tomorrow, so Ill be sure to do it then :)

Sorry about the double post. But it looks like I'm now out of the competition. PS3 just YLODed on me :(
I'll try to fix it again in the next few days, I managed it the first time. But if not, looks like I'm going to be without one for a couple of months whilst I build up some money.
