See, you say that, but it has started doing it!

Since I booted it up today to have a go, its freezing whenever the ghost car crosses the line. Somtimes just for a couple of seconds, but it's done it to me twice now where its froze completely and my only option has been to turn off the console. Turning the ghost car off seems to fix it though, only problem is that you can't see how well you're doing anymore lol.

And yea, the only trouble is that I tend to get told off for what I say when I start hurling abuse at it…i.e 'you useless waste of space, I got my dad to fork out (some amount of money) just for you to freeze!! Anyway, my time has now been submitted. The Clio was a bit of a handful here as expected, so I'm not sure how my time will fair compared to others. Especially people with 4WD...

I've sent my time in too. My Golf loves the dirt but each time I get in it now I end up slower, so I think I've found my limit. We will see how it stacks up against your cars - your times may still beat mine, but it sounds like I've had a much easier time getting there. I think I've only invalidated three laps through barrier contact, which is unheard of for me.

Whatever the results, I'm dreading that Daytona may be next!

The natural habitat of most European cars nowadays is the city. To prove that you can handle such a habitat, no matter how big the city, you shall set the fastest lap possible on the Special Stage Route 5, Reverse.

Well, I expected to be quite far down this week. The Clio wasn't exactly very stable off road It just kicked the tail out everytime you touched the gas.

I didn't have as much time this w eek as I'd liked either, I was overrun with work Hopefully I'll have more free time next week. Yay for racing driver excuses haha.

There's no Founder's Jackpot this week because I came to the realization that the BMW Z4 can't drive on dirt or snow: you can't get the tires!

I was considering a Z4 originally but I noticed its inability to go offroad and went with the golf instead. Which it turns out is quite good offroad.

And I'm no higher in the leaderboard than I was last week!! And now, for this week, I'll be pulling the RS4 out of the wall for most of the runs. Understeer FTL 👎

Well, Roj is……um………weird, let's put it that way He thinks his greatest creation to date is a white Prius with lime green wheels , so I guess it's right to think that while he lacks in taste, he makes up for by being ridiculously fast off road. And hopefully the straight is long enough to make up for the titanic weight……but I think we're forgetting the TVR……this could be where that car shines………*crosses fingers and hopes the TVR breaks down*

Nononono! The moon is nothing compared to the RS4! At least the moon turns (well, it rotates around the Earth, so that kinda counts), the RS4 is what Buckinham Palace would look like if you gave it 400hp and crap tyres!

And hopefully the TVR will join us in a 4 way duel for first, it's kinda down to the driver though……

Thanks, having traction offroad helps. I'm guessing I won't be 6 seconds ahead this week though

Woo! Second! Congratulations to Dhorean for the win, and to the Golf for a 1-2 finish.

I'll take a podium whenever I can, but I've got to say the Golf was fantastic on the dirt (I'll ignore my 3.5 second gap to the winner). My GT5 dirt-driving is fairly limited, usually I end up driving a Stratos or Group B rally car and wondering why I can't control it, so it was a real surprise to me at how easy the Golf is to drive on the dirt (point car vaguely in right direction, hard on power, brake, turn, repeat), even when it's sliding around it feels like it has a lot of grip, if that's not a contradiction.

Good luck all for the next round, the R4, Clio and TVR should be competitive again on the tarmac.

CMvan46 is lucky that GT5 doesn't replicate real-life car reliability! TVR cars, especially older ones, have a reputation for being a little, erm, "delicate"

I think the extra weight of the golf helps it a bit. Honestly with a custom gearbox I think it could be almost as fast as a proper rally car.

and;
Can you clarify 'sending photo of best lap time'? Do you mean an ingame screen shot, or a photo of the pre-race lap record screen? Can someone upload a photo to show me an example? Cheers.
