Buy a PS4 to play GT6?

Buy a PS4 for GT6? Nope.

Buy a PS4 because its a PS4? Yep.
Buy GT6 because its GT6? Yep.

I don't care if it makes me a fanboy, so be it. I'm pumped!

Ok history time ;)

PS1 - not the strongest console, best selling console

PS2 - weakest console, best selling console

PS3 - strongest console, not the best selling console.

I said it years ago... I think GT6 will be a PS4 game. GT6 is one reason for me to buy a PS4, but i will not buy the console only to play GT.
 
Besides when you analyse trends scientifically and mathematically you need a lot more data than that to determine it really is a trend. Something occuring twice (Two games per gen) is not enough to say that is a trend that will continue.

They took their time to develop GT5 so much.. I think 2 gt for per console will be different this time. GT6 on PS4 in late 2014/2015
 
I sincerely doubt I will be purchasing a PS4 unless something incredible other than GT6 comes out. I really hate the "one game locked to one account" thing.

Yes but there is no source on the information, it is just that article making assumptions as most of us are.
 
I will be buying a PS4, but not for GT6. I will be waiting to see what GT6 is before I buy this time. I bought the GT5 collectors edition on launch day and it was such a huge disappointment and still pretty much is. So much content either missing or half baked.
 
I'll be buying a PS4 at launch, if GT6 is there, all the better but I'm sure there will be a few surprises in store.
 
I will be buying PlayStation Orbis regardless. It'll be all new and shiny! I like shiny.

I can only imagine what Gran Turismo 6 will be like...
 
I will be a little more cautious on my purchase of the ps4 and GT6.

I'm not saying I regret my PS3 purchase but Microsoft, Sony, PD and Turn 10 will need to wow me in order to get my money for the time being I'm putting my dollars into 1 system.

Are you seriously thinking PD is going to release gt6 on ps3 because of that pattern?

GT5 was very late in the consoles life and given the possible announcement of ps4 makes it highly unlikely.
 
i think if you take the total cost of the console, accessories, game, and dlc and average it for a monthly cost over the life of the game it would be cheaper than most other hobbies. certainly cheaper than golf or autocross.

ps: unless you buy some crazy driving rig. :)

✎ I am artistic and I will spend hours a day working on cool vinyls
✎ GT6 will probably have countless customization options
✎ I love Gran Turismo! (゜▼゜＊）
✎ Well those are my reasons, I hope some of you can agree or relate.

I wish I would have listened a bit closer with you guys about GT5 I made a mistake dearly paid for that one could have had 10 other games lol.

Still GT6 basically has to be GT3 or even better GT4 was to PS2. I don't want no more half-assedness(not even a word I know lol).

Buying consoles for only one game is the biggest waste of time, but I'm also holding off on PS4 Sony's assholeness has also rubbed me the wrong way. I think they are too arrogant right now especially with what's going on with the Vita(I told some friends I might buy one, but $250 is way to much for a handheld portable not even on level of PS3 that is $50 cheaper or more).
 
You know, I've played GT since I was about 4 years old, I'd started with GT2, my loyalty's been with Sony and PD since then, and I think just because of that, I would buy a PS4 for GT6. I'd prefer GT6 be on PS3 because then I don't need to buy a new console. And in the end it really all depends if I would be able to save my money to buy a new console and game. That'd probably be a no. I can't save money.

I played a few games here and there before GT5 came out, (Prologue was too short), but I've pretty much played GT5 exclusively since it was launched. I'll buy a PS4 and wait for GT6 to come out. It would be nice if it launched with the PS4 so I could just walk in and buy a PS4, GT6 and a new wheel all at once. Like somebody said before, it's a lot cheaper than most other hobbies. I've spent more on one set of tires for autocross than I spend on my PS3, GT5 and DFGT wheel.
