How late did you guys stay after I went to bed anyhow?
I want to say that we were done just game or two after?

Right before I hooked up with Vausgoth, I bailed out of lobby that I was convinced the guys had lag switches. Even with excellent connection, four bars for me, it kept having these spikes of lags. Then two out of my three deaths, I was frozen as I was shot down. In one of those killcams, I froze, sniper calmly set the crosshair on me(frozen still), dropped me.

P.S. You guys know that I've been working on the golden ACR title? Talk about irony. So I wanted this thing bad. I'm very close to 1,000 headshots now. I might even finish it tomorrow. But because I've been forced to using just ACR for about million hours(with the exception of one DangerClose Class), I feel like I never even want to see ACR ever again. I miss my RPD, I miss the SCAR, too.

People who come online just to teamkill are ghey.

Specifically, Alive_Meteor.

I added him as a friend, as I needed to send that spam message I got from "steve so and so from sony entertainment here.... yeah right" to someone, and as this guy spent an entire couple of rounds teamkilling and claiming to have no idea what he was doing, I thought he was worthy.

I did notice when I had died after he sat and carefully waited till my care package came in, then positioned himself, and sniped my head just as I was about to get my harrier strike, that when I watched from his feed for a second, he is actually a very fast derpscoper. Why would someone like that, with obvious skill, pretend to be awful at the game and not know what he's doing, and then spend two rounds, consistently teamkilling till he's over 35 deaths and no kills?

Sometimes, this game is 🤬 beyond belief.

Lets hope when 3 comes out, these guys will find something else to do.....

:grumpy:👍

Or we have an option to kick them or the game actually kicks them out after several TK's.

It could well put me off MW3 if they don't sort it.

I was also about to say "I came across him the other night" but of course you were playing with us then :D That was last night, I rage quit iirc, not going to waste my time with scum like him around.

Only way I'd ever play online FPS again would be for the PSN/XBL to start ranking players by some kind of point system. I got to the point that if you are weirdo, I don't want to play with you. If you are an 🤬 hole, I don't want to play with you. If you hack/mod, I don't want to play with you. IMO, those people do not deserve to play in an average public lobby. They should all get stuck with their own kind until they have cleaned up their act. XBL do have this system in place to a certain degree? They ask you the type of gamer you are, they do have rep point system in place. You can also report players right from XBL. I don't know if that's worth $60-a-year, but that's better than just about absolute zero from the PSN. You can report PSN players, but only on the internet.

Way others play games like Call of Duty, I just grin and bear it. We all do things that might annoy other players. Some don't like campers, tacknife runners, noob tubers, etc., etc. Quickscope's probably borderline ok/not ok. I personally don't hate it anymore than other stuff I hate "in" the game. Team killing in hardcore mode though, I have absolutely no patient for.

You guys know that black ops automatically kicks team killers right? World at war was the same way. Treyarch actually listens to the community and comes up with new ideas where as infinity ward does a rehash and rakes in the cash. Rinse and repeat. Hopefully MW3 will be different given the circumstances. I plan to preorder that game next month probably.

If Treyarch actually made a fun game, I would've known that. j/k

But seriously, how much pride could there be left? I thought Infinity Ward these days are mostly in name only + some leftovers.

Exactly why I am holding out some hope MW3 will be a little different. I doubt they'll put many of the good ideas from BO in the game but one or two might sneak past.

I actually liked black ops pretty well. You could actually play a whole game and not get tubed once.

hey guys. I got a very nooby question that maybe one of you have noticed. Does the AK-47 Grenade Launcher detonate farther than the regular ones on the acr, m4, and scar?

Azuremen would know that.

He's got bullet drop charts for every gun in the game I think.

And, they're in his head. He is that good.

I was also about to say "I came across him the other night" but of course you were playing with us then :D

Dude, what you do in your own time in the privacy of your own room and all that........

:irked:👍

Detonate farther? or Do you mean it goes farther?
but probably the difference is
The GP-25 is only available for the AK-47. It has slightly longer reload but slightly faster swap-to when compared to the M203 grenade launcher, but is otherwise the same. When equipped, it gives the AK-47 leaf sights, although they are unusable.
My nephew has a clan battle..and both of sides are doing trick shots....

Most people that act deviously(Including team-killing and those who create insulting remarks) are oblivious that they're a distress to other people - those who take no responsibility of their own behavior should be separated into one group of lots who share the same kind of errantic behaviors deemed to be annoying to innocent people playing the game within fair manners - the presence of such lunatics could further influence the atmosphere in the online matches and between the relationships with sane people. I can't put up with their haughty acts when they blame someone with offensive words in a loud voice, which I underwent in the public lobby the other day, and also in the versus of Resident Evil 5 months ago - "Ha, can't you even emulate with me here? Bitch why aren't you supposed to take actions as I clearly commanded you to? You're such a freak or some sort of Learning-disabled." for example.

I didn't take offensives to hear such comments or receive a message obnoxious to ordinary people - rather they were so embarrassing.

I was watching some vids this morning before work, and stumbled across this one, and something occurred to me.....
LANGUAGE WARNING FOR EVERYONE, VERY NAUGHTY WORDS.........

Hutch mentioned after playing MW3 that it looked, felt, and played exactly like MW2.

Even Seananners agreed that it was "more of the same".

I therefore concur that people have seen this vid along with others from the recent XP competition, noted that in order to be good at MW3 on release day, they should brush up their skills on MW2, and have come back to the game in their droves.......

Why do I ramble on about this?

Because in the last week, I have seen more hacking, flying, shooting round corners, derpscoping and shotgunning across maps than I have seen in 12 months.

On top of that, I have also witnessed some absolutely AWESOME teams playing HCTDM, and been on the receiving end of their carnage.

I have had to admit, that they are simply WAY better than I have seen in ages, and therefore I theorise that they are getting some training in as the next COD launch approaches.

Discuss.

:irked:👍

Well once I got over the hype and really sat down and analyzed the gameplay
videos there really isn't anything that made me think, "OMG MW3 will be amazing because of this new feature." Without a doubt it will be more of the same so yeah I figure that putting some extra time into MW2 will put you in a better position than someone who is new to CoD. I'm sure quite a lot of people have thought this too because I've been seeing a lot of new, low level accounts online.

Can't say I've noticed any people using hacks or flying or anything like that though.

After watching the video from each of them, yup online looks just like MW2 to me as well.

On Sunday in my normal clan (not sure if VEXD was with us or not) and we came across some guys who started calling us "gay campers" because we beat them by about 5000 points in HCTDM. Couple of maps later we were at Estate and in the voice chat beforehand we said we'd beat them with Pistols, about 4 of the 6 team used Pistols only and we did indeed win.

I got my highest killstreak tonight. 24 at Karachi. 4-5 with both Pavelow and AC130. Using nothing but L86 w/ FMJ & grip, Thumper, Frag, Stun. Hardline, Steady Aim and Bling are my perks. Good night in general, had at least 4 games with a K/D of over 4. 24-1 in that game at Karachi.

---

On MW3 vids. Thing is, if it plays exactly like MW3 it's not necessarily a bad thing. If they bring in a Teamkiller booter like in Black Ops, can remove the hacked lobbies and accounts, improved lobbying and host selection (not just in terms of connection strength, but whenever someone hosts, it logs if they quit and thus get marked against them when selecting future hosts) and better maps then it's getting better. Already know quickscoping will be in there, which is annoying, because it looks pathetic.

I won't be buying either MW3 or BF3 on release, just waiting for what people say about it.

So you'll get it the day after then? :sly:

Ok, I'm going to hijack the thread....

WHICH HEADSET DO I BUY?

I have decided to get a headset which has a mic attached, as the one I currently use does not have one.
I am currently benefiting from surround sound, but I cannot tell my team-mates when some douchebag murders me and runs off in their direction.
I quite often flank off when we're playing (I said flank) and would be able to point out quite a lot to others sometimes if I had a mic, but alas, the headphones I use do not possess such an attribute, and I have been reluctant to replace them, as they have truly great sound capabilities.
So I have been looking at Amazon, and reading reviews, and then going to yootoob and watching reviews, and I have gotten quite lost in it all....

The best thing to do is ask GTP and get some answers quick.

I like these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B004R9Q1IK/?tag=gtplanetuk-20
But they are only "stereo" rather than surround; does that matter?

I hear bad tales about these breaking: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B002BU0DPE/?tag=gtplanetuk-20
plus they are a little more money, and still stereo.....

I see these are not yet available on amazon's UK site: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0053OLY9O/?tag=gtplanet-20
but they look like they would make me happy...

I have been looking at these, but they are money, and they only do optic out and require me to plug SOMETHING ELSE IN FFS.....: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0017IUFAE/?tag=gtplanetuk-20

And finally, why oh why would I spend £142 on some, when I can get a permanent marker, and draw all over the earcups of these for half the price: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0041RQFES/?tag=gtplanetuk-20

HELP!!!

Please.

Thankyou GTP, much appreciated.....

From what I've read, the new Sony branded headsets are the best. they provide great sound quality for the price and will automatically overconverts into 7.1 (PS3 only feature). great price too.

I have the sony wireless headset, and i love it. If you can afford the tb px5's, i would go for those. But they are pretty pricey. If you only game on the ps3, then i would get the sony ones. The wireless is awesome. The good thing about the trittons, is they will work with all consoles, and anything with an optical jack. Same with the px5's.

I also have the x41's by tb, they are great too. But can only chat on the xbox.

I would go for the sony ones if you only game on the ps3.

VEXD;I have Logitec F540 and I am very happy with them. Wireless and VERY good sound. Its stereo but i dont think thats a problem since i have no problem telling where the sound is coming from. And you can play while they recharge too :)

I hate not being able to charge my Sony Headset wand play at the same time.

What set-up you got on your TV, VEXD?

Because I use the Sony Headset (not the very very new one) and have 5.1 surround sound (which was a hand-me-down) and I think that's much better than surround sound within a headset. Reason for that being that if you've got people speaking to you through a headset and are listening out for footsteps, I imagine it'd be harder than my set-up. As I listen for footsteps with my left ear and listen to "intelligence" in the right ear. Maybe I'm just being menkul though!

Though that'd be much more expensive unless you Bay of E'd it.

Blimey, are you drunk at half three in the afternoon?

My telly's not surround, I don't think.
But my current headphones are because they have three jax, and I use the "front" one, which gives the whole range of sound. Reluctant to change, but if I don't, I can't tell AZ and Crispy where the last toob came from.....

Thankyou all VERY much for your advice....even you Chef.

I have decided for the time being I should save money instead of being frivolous, so therefore I have been watching a few items online.

The TB P11's have been £38, then they were £46 the next day, then as the other suppliers came into the fray, they went down to £43, then £41, and finally they returned to £39 last night, so I ordered some, before they become £45 like they are everywhere else.

They are on free delivery, so I just have to wait a few months now.

I would like to thank you all for your advice though, and don't think I didn't read it, I just think I'll go down the cheaper route to begin with, then later maybe get something better. I was so close to buying the black ops trittons though, as they are half price!!

Hi All, just got in to MW2, a little late i know lol...
Anyway here are some comments i have:

1. There are some seriously good players out there, however after close inspection I notice I am being put in games with level 30+ players (often much higher), i just got to level 15 last night. WIll this make much of a diference? (im thinking perks etc...)

2. I have been playing mostly the 18 player game and average a 10 kills to 20death score. Is tihs about right for a complete beginner? I have not touched the MW fanchise as of yet, more of a GOW3 kinda guy (and GT5 of/c) however Killzone 2 was one of the best games ive played in a while.

3. Not got above a 4kill streak yet, any advise or do i just wait to level up a bit more?

4. In single player there is heavy auto aim, which took a LOT of getting used to for me. Once i did, great, but it seems diferent in online play, is that true? Can you give me aiming advise? lol

all in all, having fun, but I feel im not getting the most out of it... feel free to comment how I can.

oh and one more thing, whats the best combo to use for my level. Ie rifle/shot gun, rifle/rocket....

Perks wise, yes. They will have unlocked ones additional to the ones you currently have and will likely have the 'pro' version of it. They will also have access to different guns, however they might not necessarily better ;)

For a complete beginner, yes. IIRC, I was getting much lower than that  With playtime comes experience, and you learn the maps and the guns much better with lots of practice.

3. Not got above a 4kill streak yet, any advise or do i just wait to level up a bit more?

Again, just keep playing and learning the game. You'll get higher kill streaks with more practice and proper tactics.

4. In single player there is heavy auto aim, which took a LOT of getting used to for me. Once i did, great, but it seems diferent in online play, is that true? Can you give me aiming advise? lol

Yes, in single player there is an 'auto aim' assist. In multiplayer this doesn't exist, and is more realistic in terms of having to deal with recoil, scoping onto players, etc. A word of warning, some guns have very little recoil compared to others in the same class, even online.

all in all, having fun, but I feel im not getting the most out of it... feel free to comment how I can.

oh and one more thing, whats the best combo to use for my level. Ie rifle/shot gun, rifle/rocket....

I'm not really in a position to answer that, best bet is to ask the veterans 👍 And by the way, you got into MW2 really late

1. Don't worry about what level players you get matched with - it only means they've been playing longer. Doesn't mean they're necessarily any better.

2+3. For a complete novice playing a game with others that have been playing for years, that's ok. Best thing to do is to learn the maps and experiment with which weapons and perks suit you best. Learning the maps is the key to not getting owned all the time, since there are so many hiding places and choke points you'll be very much disadvantaged as a newbie not knowing them. You can either learn the easy way - starting your own lobby and just running about by yourself finding all the nooks and cranies. Or the hard way - play in regular Team Deathmatch and watch the killcam replays every time to get some tips.

4. Single player and online are almost like completely different games. When the original MW came out i completed the single player story mode on the each of the difficulty level before i ever ventured online. I thought i'd play like a boss when i eventually did go online, but got totally destroyed instead.

If you suffer from lag due to a poor connection i suggest you play the hardcore game styles. You usually require only a single hit to make a kill and it's generally a slightly slower pace of play.

Thankyou both for your replies.

Gona have another bash tonight if I can get the mrs to go bed early :)

Whats intresting is that I played Killzone 2, and 'straight outa the tin', was kinda good at it without much practice needed.
This is clearly a lot harder, back to the good old counter strike days, team work and learn the maps!!
