I revisited the old Wasilla track and managed to find 3.21 miles, nearly double the length of the old North Short Course (the others were all too long, though I'm keeping the 38-mile "Targa Wasilla", and possibly a track on Fairview Loop.) The results are here:

Full Course
National Course (Note: I didn't intend for the S/F line to be where it was, I was just absentminded)
East Course (Formerly North Course, but this time I picked Terrain View for awesomeness factor)
West Course
West Short Course
East Short Course
Lakeside Course

Irrelevant, but still worth nothing: The last three have consecutive route numbers (4449490, 4449491, and 4449492)

Here's a Reykjavik project. Sorry if the course seems too simple and fast, it had to be that way to keep the length down.

EDIT: Added a few more. This just isn't an easy city to design tracks in!

Full Course - Dockside

Full Course - Central

Full Course - University
East Course - University

One I made within 10km of where I live

http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=4459694

There is an underpass, not a crossover point. Best seen using sattelite veiw

would have liked to make it a little longer, but I couldn't do that without drastic elevation change

EDIT: It looks like the track goes into a building. It doesn't. There is a street there, with a commuter carpark above it

I have an idea, derived from something interludes has done.

Go to your hometown/ where you are most familar with, and create a rally stage that features some of the roads you would love to drive quickly. Use your local knowledge! If you live in a city, probably would work best if you use the outskirts.

try to make 5 courses (uploaded in 1 post).

Here is my attempt (all tarmac):

Route 1- Kariong Hill: A quick uphil climb, followed by a tight, technical section

Route 2- The Ridgeway: A tight two-lane road that winds over the top of a ridge, hence the name

Route 3- Mooney Mooney Creek: A section of under-used highway that goes up and down the Mooney Mooney Creek and surrounding elevation

Route 4- Patonga beach Road: A 7km stage that rises 200m, then back down to the beach

Route 5 - Gosford and Staduim: A stage set around the "CBD" of Gosford, finishing in a section inside Bluetounge Staduim

Straight from Google Sketchp...

My (rubbish) attempt at a racetrack. Google SketchUp is ridiculously easy to use though...

And I admit, I did go a bit crazy with the run-off areas!

It reminds me off Super Off-Road Racing. A arcade game from the early 1990's. There is a similar track.

I've made 3 new tracks.

First one here is based around my local area of Bromley! It goes past my house just after the 5 mile mark and just before the end. But...why am I telling you that?! Here it is, right here: http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=4473314

The second one I made is a rally stage in Italy that starts at Sant'Agostino and ends at Montecarulli. It's just under 17km so it's a perfect length for a rally stage. Here it is: http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=4473323

The third and final one I made today is a stupidly long route around Southern Germany not too far from the Nurburgring, actually. It's a whopping 20.3 miles long (yes, I know right?!) but it still manages to look less challenging that it probably would be in real life (I haven't been down the roads in real life). Again, the link is here: http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=4473336

EDIT: Just a quick Nurburgring recreation for the hell of it  But here it is anyway. http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=4473351 Sorry if this has already been done to death, but I haven't seen any yet on this thread.

My favorite of the bunch. Would need a PB road though.

I like this one, long straights, tight turns and a nice location.

Layout looks funny. But I like the Portside location.
