It's GP time once again, this time we head to a track that isn't exactly famous for great races, none the less with the action we've seen at previous GPs it certainly shouldn't be boring.

This round is pretty much make or break for Kimi, if he suffers another retirement and Alonso gets a solid finish it's pretty much season over. If Alonso retires the championship battle will become much more interesting, especially if Toyota or Williams put in a strong showing.

I hope Schumi will come out on top but I would bet on Kimi. He's proven to be the fastest ( car combined ) at present and the McLaren is very solid.
Alonso has done great so far, if he could sustain current pace he no doubt would get the title, which i dont want to see happening. Please Please, Ferrari! and Williams/Toyota, DO SOMETHING!! ( get ahead of Renault!!!)

gonna be a great race, cant wait for this one, must be on at an unusual time for you blake?

my prediction:

1: Alonso
2: Heidfeld
3: Button
4: Trulli
5: Montoya
6: Coulthard
7: Webber
8: M Schumacher

and i think Raikkonen is going to retire at some point.

Circuit Gilles Villeneuve has always been notorious for mechanical breakdowns, so I think we're going to be in for a very interesting and unpredicatable race. Nonetheless, I'm still going to make a prediction.

1) Raikkonen
2) Alonso
3) Trulli
4) Heidfeld
5) Montoya
6) Webber
7) R. Schumacher
8) Coulthard

Well to give you an idea of how hellish a weekend this will be I'll tell you that Practice 1 and 2 is on from 1-2am, and 4-5am today respectively. So I will be sleep deprived all weekend :)

I hate this damn race. They should get rid of it. I'm not to thrilled about the US GP either. Two boring races back to back.

Alonso will do well again, if he doesn't get taken out on the first lap like he almost did in the last GP. It no longer matters if he places first, so long he gets a podium finish, he'll be fine. The 6 or 8 points will help him stay at the top of the driver points.

I have a feeling Fisi will do great this GP too. He's been quiet for long enough. I say it's this GP that he finally says something. I just hope he doesn't resort to complaining when he doesn't do well.

Barrichello sounds determined. It's too bad I don't believe him.

Here's my prediction:

Kimi
Alonso
Trulli
Fisichella
Heidfield
R. Schumi
Webber
Albers (Ha-ha! Hey, he's gotta score at least one point sometime this year!)

Why, what did he say? Or are you talking about the Monaco weekend?

And I guess the race will be at the afternoon here this time. It´s not bad, but I like to watch it in the morning better, I´m more used to it.

I'm not making any predictions but I hope Ferrari pulls through. As for Renault they look miles ahead of the pace.
It would be a good idea if you made a prediction and it was completely correct (the whole line) they could get something from Gtplanet.

Very off topic .... However you can find results for every F1 race at of all places *shock horror* The official F1 website .... Link

Ok, prediction time:
  1. F. Alonso - Will get front row grid spot and walk away wit the weekend
  2. K. Raikkonen - Will have a relatively poor qualifying because he must go out early in the session and must qualify heavy and work through the field
  3. M. Webber - Will get to the podium if he doesn't have a first corner incident
  4. J. Montoya - Will finish where he qualifies
  5. J. Trulli - Toyota still missing there early year pace
  6. D. Coulthard - Continue to score valuable points for RBR
  7. M. Schumacher - Proving once again that the F2005 is still incapable of winning
  8. R. Schumacher - Still being well and truely out performed by Trulli

I went to the track on thursday, there was no action but I went on Crescent street, the main attraction of this week, awesome!

I went to the GP 3 to 4 years ago, it's something I will remember all of my life!

Hey guys when is qualifing on today, i checked on the TV guide but nothing is showing up.
It's on at 11:30 tonight. ITV can't let F1 qualifying muck up their quality shows on primetime Saturday evening now, can they? :dopey:

What I want to know is why can't they use ITV2 or ITV3?

i didnt really wasnt looking for that because i all ready know that site but thanks for your time and effort anyway

Good question... :banghead: no disrespect to Radio 5 Live, but it just isn't the same on the radio...

its on at 1100 GMT or 2100 for me.

Race is on at 1100GMT sunday as well, but i wont see it until 1425 GMT or 2:45am my time .

I reckon M Schumacher can get a podium.

You sure? The race is later than that... the live broadcast starts at 1700 BST, 1600 GMT, Sunday evening..

Copy of an email I sent to ITV today.

There is a distinct lack of live qualifying today. Heaven forbid that ITV muck up it's "quality" prime time Saturday night schedules for F1 qualifying.

What you really need is another channel to put it on..... ITV2 anyone? ITV3?

I know qualifying is on later, much later, but its not the same as seeing it live. You seem determined to annoy F1 fans this season, a season that promises to be one of the best seasons in F1 for a long time, with the most ill-timed adbreak ever at San Marino and now this.

My bad

Qualifying Saturday 11th 17:00 GMT
Race Sunday 12th 17:00 GMT

 I emailed them about the San Marino thing too... now that qualifying is back to a format where you can actually watch the deciding session, the least they could do it show it live... 💡

Do any of you reacon that Raikonnen can pull it off this time? What a great effort last race...... :) 👍

I finally can watch F1 at a decent hour. No more staying up past dawn to watch it. Now, I've got to get back to a more normal sleeping pattern for the next several weeks.
