sweet jesus, alonso too? I feel so bad for fisichella. damn renaults crapping out. Alonso hasn't gone yet in the CBS coverage...it looked like it would be such a good battle with JPM. :(

It's the Canadian GP. It sucks. They need to get rid of it. It's a horrible course. They should get rid of the Canadian GP for the proposed Las Vegas GP. That would be so much better. I thought it was going to be a great race, and it proves to me, yet again, what a terrible GP this is. What a horrible day for Renault.

EDIT: Damn! Now Kimi has taken the lead from Montoya. Damn! I need Kimi to retire.

EDIT 2: OK, it looks like Alonso just lightly touched "the wall." I hate that goddamn wall. I think somebody needs to get killed there before they change it. Screw the change. Again, they should just dump the entire GP.

I blame Canada.

I think we might be watching different races here, mate. Anyone who knows a good race when they see it should be enjoying this one, no matter what team/driver they support :)

that isn't the LV track, is it?

and Sato came back out....what's up with that?

edit: WOW, just when i hit post, button ate the wall. Karthy, Renault, and now BAR. who's next?

I've always hated this GP. It sucks. I only liked it because Renault was doing so well. Plus, now I have to listen to that hump Daly for the rest of the race with no benefit.

Speaking of the hump, he just said a word that got bleeped. What a tool.

Seems to me that you're just not appreciative of a good race.

About the commentators, in the UK we might not have the best commentators in the world, but they know their stuff (Brundle more-so than Allen) and they're good to have on-board.

yeah. what the hell did daly say they they bleeped out? that safety car sounds pretty badass.

edit: news flash, michael schumacher is "comin' hard".

You call this a good race? When one stupid placed wall retires so many people? I don't like the no tire change rule either, because it doesn't let the drivers race. I wouldn't at all call this a great race.

But, there has been a lot of passing and individual battles. I'll watch because there are these great battles going on, but I won enjoying it as much.

Montoya is now getting a black flag. Yeah, great race.

yeah, i want tire changes to return. let's see if that survey thing makes a difference.

I think it's a bit ridiculous. Right now, half the cars have reitired. Some, because of that damn wall, and some for other problems. But, I'm sure Trulli just retired because of tire issues. We have to wait and see what happened. This race is just one big mess.

EDIT: It was a brake going down. Another problem with this GP. It's too tough on the brakes. Again, another valid reason to get rid of this GP.

I blame Canada.

Absolutely! I'd call this one of the best races of the year. How many people retired because of the wall at the last corner? Was it two? Anyway, it doesn't matter how many people crashed into the wall, it's a hazard and part of the track. People have passed it hundreds of times today and on only a couple has there been a problem...

No-one was hurt, there was plenty of action and the result was good for me personally. However, even if the Ferraris had retired I would still have said this was a fantastic race.

edit: Trulli retired due to front right brake failure. His disc blew up at the last corner (much like Frentzen's in Australia a few years ago)

hahaha, everytime something happens, there's a big cluster of new posts. i apologize for any after-the-fact posts.

It seems like you guys in America were on a bit of a delay compared to the people in the UK...

Is the race shown live or with a delay? I'd assume it was broadcast with a delay if they can censor a commentator swearing

This is one of the only GP to push the cars to the outer limits, it's your opinion that it sucks, but you are part of a few.

/Sacarsm/ Hey Monaco suck! Everybody crashes into the walls! They should get rid of the walls and let the driver plunge into the bay!

Hey they should kill Michelin for what happened to Kimi!

Hey they should ..BLABLABLA

Whatever!

Be a bit more objective in your comments, many GP are boring, atleast in the Canadian GP there is action, maybe not your type of action, but it's exciting to the majority.

jeez, schumy's tires look like-new, but kimi's tires are starting to lose their grooves.

and there goes sato -- for good this time. flaming brakes...yum.

man, what a race. i think everyone who didn't bite it was engaged in a battle. it's a shame that there were so many stupid misfortunes though.

oh well...next stop, indy.

So, because I hate the Canadian GP that makes me biased? BS.

The events that happened at this years Canadian GP are the reasons why I judge this a horrible GP. I'm not biased. I don't like what the teams and drivers go through here. To my eyes, this isn't racing.

Oh, and nobody can legitimately compare Monaco to Canada. Monaco is a short low speed course. The Canada course is faster and longer. They have too many sharp chicanes placed in the wrong places. Again, my opinon but it is legitimate and justified and not biased.

So what exactly makes this a "horrible GP"? The fact they have chicanes, hairpins and walls...

Right...

I think it was way too rude!

At worst he should have had a 10 sec penalty in the pits, at worst!

It was because he exited on the red light, I don't understand that rule, anybody has any info on it?

xcsti
Anyone else pissed of about what happened to montoya? Seem completely stupid.

Nope, not in the slightest. You've got to have rules and penalties, and if Montoya's too hot-headed to notice a stonking great red light then he deserves the penalty for his actions.
