Race Report

Qualifying went pretty badly, I was held up by Karthekeyan and Kovalienen constantly. In the end I managed a decent grid position at about 14, even after tangling with Karthekeyan again on the lap.

Race started and I got edged out on the first corner before getting a drive through for "unsportsmanlike behaviour" after passing a few spun out cars. Am I expected to jump out of the car to see if everyone's ok or something ? After the drive through I was one from last I think, with SKD behind. As he was much faster and my teamate I let him through after the long straight, he thanked me for this by spinning me out and driving off. I would have the last laugh as he was DSQ a few laps later. After much difficulty trying to pass the idiot back markers who were driving dangerously slow I had Ronin constantly in my mirrors, just out of the DRS zone.

Ronin tried to undercut me and I have no idea how it didn't work as this lap was dreadful, I caught up to the AI who were gang banging together at the middle sector. I managed to dodge a few of their attempts to hit me off the road but Glock's was too much and soon enough I was facing the wrong way in the middle of the corner, how I didn't get hit by Mike and ETID I'l never know. Despite this I was still ahead of Ronin after my pitstop which was very surprising. He seemed to have suddenley found about an extra second a lap though so he managed to get past. Nearly had ETID after he spun at the first corner but he was much faster and I settled for last among the human finishers.

All in all a disappointing race although on the bright side the pace wasn't far off and I think I could have got about 11 in qualifying had it not been for Karthekeyan. Also, is there anyway to save the replay after the race ?

Hazard- I did look for you to invite, try and make it next week.

Tyrrell- Unlucky race mate, no AI next week so hopefully we all wont have so many incidents. Keep going man, you will get faster 👍

You're forgetting we have more fuel in the race Brett, so we won't go as fast as in quali

Nah pretty sure it was a 1.30.2, I remember it being 5 tenths off my quali lap which was 1.29.7

Oh so that's the time Brett thought was slow no wonder you seemed confused about what I said about the fuel Brett, I thought you meant a 1.30.2 was slow when quali time was only a late 1.28.

I remember reading a quote somewhere that auto racing and bull fighting were the only true sports, I liked it.

As far as the race was concerned, it was ruined for me by the second turn so I just tried to learn the game some more.
Had some fun battles with Etid and Tyrell. I will need to practice to have any hope for a good finish next time.

Yeah I know you did mate, I checked my messages when I woke up and saw an invite then it suddenly occured to me I'd missed the race.

Is there any chance you'd remove the AI from future races? It's pretty pointless having them on there, they don't matter in the standings and only get in the way of the real drivers taking part in the league during race day.

Ronin- Its very tough unless your on the front row, it goes against instinct but if you qualify badly it might help to get really wide and lose a few places to keep out of trouble.
Also running off the track is better than getting spun like a top!

Hazard- Its an experiment but I am thinking it will probably become the norm 👍

I received numerous drive thru penalties for overtaking on the grass, the game thinks that you are cutting the track and making up time, even if you do it to avoid an accident so its either get a drive thru for illegal overtake or get terminal damage n ruin someone elses race. You gotta love F1.
