Brandon, it would only be a slight inconvenience, but if everyone wanted to continue in your lobby post race, you could just leave, recreate the room without a fixed host and we could all be back in, in a matter of a couple of minutes.

I've been lurking here since our little recommended list race the other day after Brandon's invite so I decided I'd like to take part in this series as well. I hope we can all have fun! I'm not sure how specific you want to be on the color, I would be fine just calling it green, but there are leagues around here that prefer the actual paint chip name.

^Same here, it got better towards the end for me though, although you were really the only one I was ever around for long enough to notice.
I didn't notice anything major during the race, but in the replay I can hear the engine sounds on a car or two are jittery.
Change of strategy last night, I stopped trying to run 2:07s and spinning off and just ran 2:10/2:09s. Actually ran a fair number of laps with other people instead of all by myself.

I don't know what it was but I lost a full second, maybe a bit more between Tuesday and Saturday. I think I had one lap under 2:09 last night, mostly in the 2:09's and Tuesday I was low 2:08's most of the race with my fastest lap running alone about 2:07.9. I could feel the lack of grip right away in practice and didn't want to make any drastic changes to my setup so I left it alone.

Can I ask that people not talk directly after they finish the race. Last night the drivers who finished first came on talking after they finished and I was still on my last lap and going against another driver. Its distracting and would help me out alot if everyone kept quiet untill everyone is past the finish line. Say whatever you want during practice and even quilifying, but during the race please keep the talking to a minimum.

I will take my mic off and lay it next to me. Now I don't hear anything.
just don't cuss at us with your mic next to you. Cause we can hear it. Hahaha

I am guessing there are continuing network issues. For the first time just now, I got stuck on the loading bar trying to get into my own lounge, then rebooted and got a message I've never seen before trying to get into the lounge, "Please retry in a while". Took about 5 tries to finally get into my own lounge.

I've been running at gvr today and have been at least a second off my previous best pace. Perhaps something is not quite right, server wise.

I went into a few open lobby's today that had 12 or more people and was experiencing the same stuttering that we've been having this week. I was in US, Canadian and UK hosted rooms and it was the same in all (to varying degree). So I think Johnny is probably right about it mostly being congestion issues.
Everything seemed to be better for me last night but while reviewing incidents on the replay this morning I could see some cars stuttering and could hear the engines lurching.
Saturday's usually have a smaller crowd so we can leave the mics on for now but I turned my race quality back to High. I'll leave voice at Low, I didn't notice any real difference in chat quality.

This is a good option, but since I dont use a mic the sound comes directly through my tv speakers. I could put everyone on mute but I dont know of a way to mute all the mics in a room at once, so Id have to go into the lobby and mute people as they come in the room. It just seems easier if people would stay quiet untill the race is over.

I've been fine in US, UK, Dutch and French rooms over the past week, this series is the only time I've been having trouble.
Option 1 from the first page, I ran 2:09s with it and I am far from good.

Seems the stability/lag/frame rate issues remain for some but not for others. Not sure what's going on but we will try rooms with a fixed host next week and see how that goes.

There are other threads discussing connection problems and even Kaz tweeted something about the server traffic being too high or possible PSN problems. Looks like we'll probably just have to struggle through this but I'll keep looking for solutions.

However, as you may recall, the GTPlanet community has already discovered over 25 mysterious track logos on Gran Turismo 5‘s Remote Racing website, and the puzzling Red Bull article on GT5‘s iteration of the Pikes Peak rally course remains online. While these are likely candidates for future updates, be careful to temper your expectations and assumptions, as always.

You're welcome to join us tomorrow if you like, usually a smaller crowd on Saturdays so that would be a good first race.
Just wanted to say, that I very much enjoyed the race yesterday. Clean, fun race and friendly co-racers.. what else to ask for..?!
Hmmm... Maybe better skills for my own driving.. Hmm...
The only one thing to spoil the race for me..: I didn't succeeded in taking the last spot as promised.. CAMikaze seemed determined to 'beat' me for that spot..
I will be there for the next race.. That's for sure..!
