Brandon this bring back memories. I wrecked a bike back in 95/96. I had a chance to decide road or ditch. I took ditch. Ended up with a separated shoulder that required surgery and two pins.

I happen to catch a baseball sized stone mid turn. Stood me straight up. My thoughts were try and turn slide in gravel go down. Take ditch soft no road rash. However ut was a wet ditch and grabbed my bike over the bars I went. Tried to tuck and roll. Just not enough tuck. Caught my shoulder then rolled. Stood up. Went back to get my bike. It was in ok shape. Lil plastic damage. However this was when I relized my shoulder was a messed up. I couldn't lift tue bike. My cousin had came up to me about this time and says Dude. Your shoulder looks messed up. Might wanna call an Amber lamps. Rest is history. Dr got me working decent again. Hahaha.

Road twice after healing up and then sold the bike. Still desire one.

Good to hear that you almost walked away. X-rays etc are annoying, but could be a life saver.

Is it story swapping time? Went down once on the highway when it was raining out. Lady in.front of me slammed on her brakes for no reason, so I started to brake rather hard and lose my front wheel. Little bit of road rash on my shoulder where it burnt through my jacket but no real damage. The other time was on thunderbolt raceway here in nj. Turn one still a little damp from an earlier rain and I highsided at about 75. Somehow only ended up with a little bit -o -pinky bone showing but thats all. Race suits stand up pretty well as I found out.

This will probably be my one and only story to share. By sheer luck I escaped a horrific accident with relatively minor injuries, I am beyond lucky. The accident was due to no fault of my own so no matter how safe I am and no matter how much safety gear I wear the idiots are out to get us and next time I might not be so lucky. I can't put my life in other people's hands.

So, work was pretty rough and I can barely move my right arm so not sure that I'll be able to race tonight. I took some meds and have ice on it, so we'll see. Either way, I will host the room and the race will go on as scheduled.

Race lounge is open, come get your Caffiene fix! I'm on my second bottle of "pain killer" so we'll see what I can do. :)

Connection dropped oh noes!

Had a great race going with you guys and BLOP, gone.

Well... well that just stinks. Not anyone's fault though. Hopefully my weird exit didn't cause anything 'cause I was right in front of Owens when I DC'ed on the last turn, mid-turn.

Congrats to OwensRacing on the Double! Sorry about the DC wardez, hate to see that happen but don't think it caused any issues.

Sorry to hear about your accident Brandon...hope everything is ok. I've had my bike 11 years, although I haven't done much riding the last few. Come close a few times but never any accidents...knock on Wood.

Tried to make it last night but was too tired and have to work today so it's a no go too. Good luck everyone and congrats again Owens. Within 2 seconds of Tuesday night's time...that's consistency!! Show up and win again today so my second place holds up...lol.

Race was shaping up to be epic fun finish.

Hopefully you make it today. I plan to be there then gotta go to a cook out. Mmmm

Also if anyone wants my current set up your welcome to it just ask. I think a bit of luck is more at play here then set up through.

Ah looks like I won't be able to make the race today anyway. Gotta head out for some business right at noon my time /3pm EST/.

I'll be racing tonight without much testing but willing to try anyway. Read about your accident Brandon and get well soon. I had an accident myself two months back so hopefully you'll be back and well soon.

Thanks VR, I'm doing pretty well, considering.

We are racing today if at least 5 people show up, attendance has been low the last couple Saturday's.

I'm opening my lounge now so get you Cappy's ready!!

whens the race start? ill join now if its on now....

Thanks for the racing tonight - Way beyond the call of duty Brandon. Racing through the pain barrier must have been tough.

And thanks the laughs after - Good to see the tank car!

Congrats to Wiifreak on a dominating win today, hope you didn't get too lonely up there! My wounded limb did cost me a good finish, trying to avoid Owens spin I overshot my braking point in the final turn and lost the back end. I could have saved it normally but couldn't move my right arm fast enough to catch it. Oh well, still had fun and wasn't too painful. I think I should be in pretty good shape for Tuesday.

Anyone practicing for Autumn Ring Mini yet? It really keeps you on your toes...there's no time to relax. I've got into the 40.5-41 second range but it requires total concentration to get there. Had to change my set up quite a bit too. Lapped traffic, if any, is going to be interesting...lol.

Haven't raced a Kart there in a long time but I think it was a second or more faster...lol. Back when I raced Karts, they had a Nissan something or other come out and run around the track and I beat it by 4 seconds as well...ahhh the good old days!!!

I've finally got the results and points updated, sorry for the delay but I've kinda been focusing on recovering from the motorcycle accident lately. Looks like we've got a real battle going for the final podium positions, I'm quite interested to see how Autumn Ring Mini shakes things up! I think this track is really going to be a good test of the skills we've developed this season; it's very tricky, requires total concentration and with lapped traffic to deal with the leaders will have to stay on their toes if they want to bring home the trophy! 👍

Just to clarify, your 2 worst weeks will be dropped from the total even if you ran multiple times on those weeks. Only your best finish from each week goes towards the points, so essentially you could be dropping up to 6 races out of the total 18. It looks like there might be a tie for the top position so I'm going to go back through the results today and add 1 bonus point to the driver who had the fastest overall time for the week. I should have implemented this from the beginning but I thought having a bonus point for pole position would sort everything out, turns out it didn't really work that way. So I will update the points standings in a little while with the new rankings.

I think this points system has worked fantastically and I'm going to continue with this system for the next season, with the inclusion of the bonus point for fastest winning time of the week implemented from the beginning. I really think it's makes everything more interesting and allows people to make up for a bad outing as well as allows people with different schedules to compete together.

Back to business, I also realized I hadn't put a lap count for Autumn Ring Mini in the OP but I've updated that now. We will be doing 35 laps which will be about 25 exciting minutes of racing! My arm is feeling much better and was able to do a couple 12-15 lap runs last night without issue so I should be good for tonight's event. With the injured arm I was able to crack into the :40.9xx range a few times and was consistently in the :41's. Hope to see you all tonight at The Mini!!

I didn't realize you were dropping two weeks, thought it was just one like last time. However, that creates an epic three way battle for first and 4 way battle for second if everyone makes it this week. It would be hard for the points to be any closer, once you throw out the worst finishes.

If you could update the standings to show what it would look like with the two worst finishes dropped.

At a brief glance it looks like this

WiiFreka, Wardez and Brosif all tied up at 77
DSG alone in 4th at 70
Me, Lancer and Owens all locked up at either 65 or 66. One of us will have to squeeze out a victory with DSG no better than third to get by him.

Brandon, you only use the total time as a tie breaker if there is a tie at year end right, for the top three spots?

We went up to 6 weeks from 5 this season which allows us to drop 2 but still keep 4 (like last season). I knew with it being summer-time it would be hard for people to commit full-time so dropping 2 seemed logical. Lancer missed a 3 week stretch in the middle of the season but is still in contention since 1 of those weeks was a non-points All-Star break, so I think it worked out well.

I'll look into showing the points with the 2 worst dropped but I don't think the Google Doc is setup to do that so I'd have to do it all manually (if I can find time).

I'm actually going to go back and add a point to the fastest driver from each week in the hopes that this will eliminate a tie, but if we still end up with a tie I will use the elapsed times between the 2 tied drivers to decide who gets the position. I'm going to do this from the outset of the next season so I want to see how it works, I think it should greatly reduce the possibility of a tie and add a little spice to the whole season. This way, if driver A wins race 1 but driver B wins race 2 with a quicker time, driver A will want to run the final race of the week to improve his elapsed time and gain that bonus point. Strategy galore!! ;)

Ok, I've updated the points standings with a bonus point awarded to the fastest overall driver for the week. I did not do this for the custom oval track (Round 5) because I shortened the second and third race so I could make it through with an injured shoulder. It has changed things a bit, WiiFreak and Wardez are now tied for first at 102 points each and dsg has gained a point. It should be a very exciting final week to decide the Cappy Champy!!

If anybody has time to do the math and post everybody's points minus their 2 worst finishes, feel free. I'm not sure if I'm going to have time in the next day or 2, but I'll get to it if I can.

Wasn't aware we're dropping any races, thought I was neck-in-neck with yuri.
Personally, I don't think dropping 2 races makes sense with 3 races per week. Anyway - I'd PM Brosif to make sure he's aware of this, since with a 27 for the week he can still win this.
