Yes, was very popular here when I was a kid. The Farmer's Market in Waterloo has some beautiful handmade boards, I've eyed them many times but I doubt anyone would play with me now:grumpy:

Only of we was closer. I'd be delighted to get schooled. ;)

My oldest is wanting to play the evening of his birthday when he has two friends over. He is really enjoying it too.

Hopefully some others locally will take a liking and the game gets more attention. It truly is awesome fun. I love the simplicity yet it take skill. Strategy and luck. :)

Watched the Canadian finals and those players are WOW good.

Crokinole sounds like an amazing drinking game, I'm not really sure why I've been missing out all these years...

We have talked about a variant of play where drinking is implemented.

Just went to check if I had a Cappy on this account. Found one and reset everything to default and it only has 90 hp broken in...lol..:ouch:

I just did the same, it's rather tame. We'll have to put it on CM's otherwise it won't get loose............which is something I never thought I'd say about a Cappuccino.

Not sure if the physics update had anything to do with it but I drove it for a bit at Deep Forest yesterday on CS tires and it was pretty grippy...moreso than I remember.

Too grippy IMO. We'll run them on CM's tonight. How about we do a couple at Madrid and a couple at Rome?

How about Rome and a real (non-city) course?

Suzuka?

Well, I thought I'd be clever and fix my wheel before the races tonight. It gets knocked off center and recently it got really bad. The internets make it out to be a simple fix but you have to almost completely disassemble the wheel, including disconnecting wires. I did so and the screw they say comes loose wasn't loose. I'm reassembling now but I'd say it's 50/50 at best if I get it back together properly.

I'm about to be pre-occupied with beer and steaks on the grill, not gonna make it tonight.

That's why I haven't tackled it yet. I'll wait and see how yours turns out...:sly:

Not well. It lit up and spun around to calibrate.........and didn't stop spinning. I grabbed it and it stopped, then start spinning the other direction without stopping. Loaded up the game, buttons on the shifter work, pedals work, no steering. 🤬 It's a huge process with lots of screws and small wires everywhere, I'm sure I either knocked something loose or damaged something. It did respond somewhat so there's hope but I'm not going to mess with it anymore tonight.

Sorry guys, guess we're on hold for the time being. Feel free to race amongst yourself but I'll be out until I figure out how to fix this.

Popped into the room to find it empty. Good luck with your wheel Brandon...:nervous::ouch::crazy:

Checked the lounge to see if it makes sense to connect the wheel to PS3 and saw only Johnny.
Hope GT6 comes out soon...

Sorry, I broke my wheel. Hopefully just temporarily. I'm guessing the crowd would have been about the same, regardless.

I'm guessing you have a G25 or G27? I have a G25 & got the calibration problem a while back, did the screw tightening fix & had no trouble since. Sorry it didn't work out for you.

:(

G27. When I finally got to the screw it wasn't even loose, I couldn't move it at all. Now I have info that it isn't the screw but a little black plastic wheel next to that screw. I wasn't prepared to dig that deep into the wheel but kept having to remove more and more to get to it and in the process I've damaged something or knocked something loose. I'll dig into it this weekend to see if I notice anything goofy, but it takes about 20 minutes of removing screws and pieces just to get to the parts that may have been damaged.

Looks like I can acquire another G27 for around $225 USD but I'm not really in a position to blow a couple hundred right now and there's no guarantee I don't end up with the same problem within a couple weeks. My buddy has my old DFGT and AFAIK he rarely uses it so I'll see if I can borrow it for a little while. Will be difficult to use those pedals though, after using the modded G27 pedals.

You can actually use a DFGT with a G series pedals. You either need to take apart the wheel and swap wires around on the rga plug and poke an additional hole(for the clutch prong, that won't be operational), or pull the wires from the DFGT pedals and plug them directly into the G series pedal rheostats. I almost did the plug swap last year when my wheel bearings all went, but I ended up finding a used G25 for very little money and now I have a spare beater wheel and pedals. I took the spare pedals and modified the rheostats as well, but for the past 8-10 months I've been on a set of completely stock pedals anyway.

Here is the clean method that alters the wiring on the plug inside the wheel;

And the OP here describes his cannibalising the DFGT's pedal cable and connecting the spades directly to the G series pedal rheostats; https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=105546

I've used the DS3 before in ORCA races. I don't think anyone was able to discern. I am off pace with the DS3 compared to the wheel, but on some cars it's not that much of a difference. You can't equal the fun factor with a wheel, however.

We assumed you had a few to many. ;)

Gone for the weekend so I'll miss tomorrow. Good luck:tup:👍

That's the optical sensor. Sometimes it comes loose, i've heard that gluing it in place will fix the callibration issue. Hope you get it sorted out soon.

👍
