Cars with unusual traits

Good that you mention this. Did you know that the IS-F is not the only 8 speed car in the game? There is actually another Japanese sedan with an automatic 8 speed transmission, and it has been in the game since GT4 ;)

LOL at first i thought you were gonna say Nike One, but then i saw Japanese Sedan

i think one of the cappuccinos has glowing rims a standard. been a while, can't be sure

Actually, the Cappuccino doesn't have glowing rims, the Enkei ES-Tarmacs are just not properly rendered. They react (er don't react) with shaddows very strangely. They seem to lack any change of shade once the colors have been changed (IDk if the stock color changes):

Taken on Sarthe, so you know there are very little lights on the Mulsanne straight.

Thankfully, the ES-Tarmacs are only available on a handfull of cars, pretty sure it's only the C4 and the Cappu...

It's an oil pressure gauge. The 787B also has a fuel economy gauge (measured in liter/100KM) and a fuel level gauge.

Ahh its oil pressure. That explains why I couldn't understand its movement: I thought it was to do with the turbo pressure.
That economy one, I think I saw, but the numbers meant nothing to me, as I always use Miles Per Gallon for economy.

I remember playing with it some days ago and it worked... need to double-check.

Good plan. It could be, that since I modified it this little feature gets removed. I put a race ECU on the car, but I think, at the time, it wasn't fitted.

Same here. If it's not in MPG then it's just another useless gauge to me.

There appears to be a big speedometer (Mini Cooper style) in front of the passenger seat of the Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ2. Can't be sure though.

Has anyone noticed when driving the alfa romeo giulia tz2 carrozzata that under hard braking the skid marks go out in front of the car a bit? it is most noticeable in bumper cam. the coding has the black streaking being put down a couple of feet ahead of the front tires. it is really strange to see it, and can be distracting. not technically an unusual trait of the car, per se, but an unusual trait of the GT5 model of the car anyway.

All of my drifting photos have skid marks in front of the car. It's pretty annoying.

Not sure if it's weird or not, but my moded '70 kpgc10 (or whatever) skyline gt-r sounds like the engine is about to explode! as bad as Jeremy Clarkson's merak! Ive changed the oil and overhauled the engine and that didn't help. must be the exhaust mod.

because it only has a pp limit, a hp limited maserati granturismo can enter world compact!

The Honda Jazz 1.4 Dsi Sport has a single speed transmission, like the hybrid/electric cars.

It's a CVT transmission, basically one gear with infinite ratios between its minimum and maximum values. Google it. It's rather interesting.

The premium VW Golf GTi MK4 is modeled as the manual version, it has the manual gear knob and the shifting animations are correct. But have anyone noticed the little computer display in the gauge cluster? It reads PRND4321. It's really hard to notice since the display is very low resolution, but race it during night when it lights up and you will see it.

Despite the little mistake I love that car. It's the sexiest Golf ever. Especially in Tornadorot.

There is! Though it's terribly misplaced. Just a glance at it an you'll be on the grass in no time.

The front wheels of Vantage V8 does not turn.:grumpy:

That I have to see. You mean they don't spin, or they don't turn when steering?

The steering wheel in the Standard Model Ferrari F2007 is exactly the same as the Premium model in cockpit view, but looks like a cardboard box from TV camera.

Not sure if this one was mentioned, but when you hit the brakes in the ferrari california, the reverse lights come on instead of brake lights
I have seen a couple of cars do this but can't remember what they were.

Bud thats how it is in real life

I found out why the "Fairlady Z Version S (Z33) '07" (I'm just calling it that so people know which car I'm talking about; there's multiple 350Zs) is so good for drifting. The stock Limited Slip Differential is setup 50/80/0. Low braking sensitivity slows it down when you exit a turn, so it's more controllable...

I've found you need to buy all of the exhausts for a car and test each one if you're concerned with sound over performance.

The muscle cars are the infamous example where several of them sound like a Honda with anything but stock pipes, but classic (pre-1980) cars in general seem to be the most nerfed when it comes to exhaust. Although, the British cars like the Elan and the Spitfire do actually have some pretty sweets sounds!👍

What do you mean by airbag warning? A lamp in the cockpit? :odd:

There's no light or anything in the cockpit of the Gran Turismo Ford GT LM Spec II Test Car. It's an airbag warning STICKER on the sun visor, like most cars have IRL. Don't know why it's in a LeMans spec car, let alone a TEST CAR...

It was probably overlooked as the test car is built on the road version and when they modeled the car they probably forgot it was there on the window

So true, I do the same. Most of the times the stock exhausst will do, but when the stock exhaust is wrong, the others might actually fix it. Take for example the Viper ACR; the stock exhaust sounds like a V6, but the Sports Exhaust sounds exactly like a Viper V10. A little bit low reving, but it is the right sound.

What's unusual about the LM Test Car is that I don't really see any differences when comparing it to the stock GT. Apart from the missing rear bumper, the concept's headlights, the wheels and the spoiler, that thing is the same.

Another thing that's unusual about it is that you're able to beat LM Prototypes and Groups C's with it. Also that it simply drives too good...

Yep, my '08 Dodge Challenger sounds like my '88 Supra with titanium racing exhaust.

On another note, if you cycle through cockpit views of the race modified Impreza in replay, you can see the seat belts are green and say "Takata" on them. Same people that sponsored that green and white NSX. There's also a spare tire where the backseat used to be.

Don't know if this has been addressed but a turbo and a supercharger actually happens in real life. I think ford developed it for the gt40, also VW used it in a 1.4 golf. Audi have just released a version of the a1 called a black edition that also uses such a system.

What? the Furai lights are awesome,as is the rest of the car.

Yeah! In a night race, the brake lights on the Mazda Furai look like sparkly Holiday lights... very cool, as is the rest of the car. :)

It's a race modified rally car, it'll not unusual to carry a spare tire and have the interior stripped. :P
And Takata make all types of racing harnesses for vehicles, so I don't find that unusual.

Are you saying that turbocharger and superchargers actualy exist? YOU MEAN THEY'RE NOT JUST A THING OF FICTION? All this time I've been trying to go through my closet into Narnia to get one and I could just buy them on the internet all along... gosh I feel so embarrassed.

He's referring to twincharging, which is having both a turbocharger AND supercharger at once.

Well I can tell that's going to end well  ...

It actually ends well. Very goddamn well. One of the best examples is the Lancia Delta S4, which is a car best defined as 25% car and 80% furious gravel-running, fire-breathing monster. The thing about twincharging is that it takes the best out of both methods. At low revs, only the supercharger is in action producing virtually lag-free acceleration while the exhaust gases aren't enough to spool the turbo effectively. At high revs, when the supercharger becomes less effective is when it leaves all the work to the turbo. It's fairly complex but it can work wonders depending on the application.

Also a Car of the Week. Check out the link for it at the end of my review for this week. That S4 is a monster.

I completely agree. That's the reason group b got banned, and as for the douche that thought he'd be really clever and leave a condescending reply to my post, are you aware that there are other people on this planet? So then you might be aware that some people may not have been exposed to the rich and everlasting knowledge that you have. If you already knew that a twin charger existed, then keep you smart ass comments to yourself, and save yourself the embarrassment of being told online.
