Cars with unusual traits

A couple of things I just noticed in the past few days.

1) Mazda 787B- has an instant mpg gauge(I think) to the left of tach, last lap time, and some number on the digital cluster that is 6.0 until about 8500 revs and the changes to 7.0 until redline. Anyone know what it is for.

That think that would be oil pressure measured in bar. 7 bar = aboot 100 psi, for a Le Mans prototype that sounds about right.

The aventador rear spoiler has 3 or 4 different heights while youre driving.
I have the optional spoiler mounted and begins rising at 80 kmh, then every 20kmh it rises till 120 or 140kmh.
Correct me if im wrong

Not too strange, but the Suzuki Cervo and Amuse S2000 GT1 Turbo have 7 speed gearboxes. The IS-F has an 8 speed CVT as well. not too strange again, but meh.

This one is more brand specific..

A lot of Nissans (R31-32, Z31-Z34, S-chassis,..) have 1-way LSD's as stock (50-80-0). A custom LSD can only have up to 60 acceleration and has a min. of 5 for deacceleration.

Haven't seen any other brand/car with a similar LSD either.

I've seen the Tank Car mentioned; it's because "bumper" view is nowhere near the bumper, it's usually inline with the driver's seat, which is a long way back from the front wheels on that particular car.
The VWs you mentioned all have portal axles, so yes, Rayman indeed. :)

LMAO ray man wheels XD You just duded a new phrase in gaming, "rayman parts."

Without an optional spoiler, it goes up two "stages". With an optional spoiler, it looks like it's three stages.

Don't know if it has been discovered but I just found out, the spoiler which you install on the premium Dodge Viper GTS, the rivets on the spoiler are floating! :dopey:
That looks so weird. I've never seen that. 👍

What the hell! lol

If you paint a dark colored Ford GT '06 with white stripes a "light" color, the stripes turn black.

not really new or suprising but if you get the veyron up to around 230mph the wing drops down to just above the trunk lid and tilts a little bit and acts as a air brake when slowing down from high speeds. Sidenote is the tank car a premium or no? i imagine it should be bc desinging a folding top for it would be a pain.

This maybe common knowledge, but one of the Pescarolo LMP cars allows a spoiler install. This is unusual in two aspects, first almost no purpose-built race cars in the game have options to purchase body parts, secondly, when you do go to actually view how the spoiler looks on the car, you see nothing different between the three spoiler options. (being a standard car, it has the usual A, B, and C options). I think it's safe to infer that this oddity is most likely a bug.

The Taurus SHO is the same... 3 wings options no real deference

It's a Standard. Like with all open top Standard cars, the interior is replicated to an extent with the Chrysler Prowler arguably being the most detailed Standard, in case you didn't know.

I'm pretty sure all the modern Mercedes have seven speed transmissions, as well as the Formula One cars.

I've noticed a few things too:

The premium R34 Skyline from the dealership gains 260 HP when you add a stage 3 turbo.
It's not too unusual, but that's a lot more than most cars gain.

The '02 Enzo Ferrari has two tachometers and two speedometers.

And both the '07 Fairlady Z and the '08 Fairlady Z cannot have turbos added but they can have superchargers added. Bit weird for Japanese cars with V6 engines to have superchargers.

The Premium Nissan GT-R Protoype doesn't have a cockpit view; that's also why it has pitch black windows.

Then arguably it's not a premium car, is it? I would class it as a extremely detailed standard car that you don't have to wait on the UCD for it to show up  .

Good that you mention this. Did you know that the IS-F is not the only 8 speed car in the game? There is actually another Japanese sedan with an automatic 8 speed transmission, and it has been in the game since GT4 ;)

Oh really? What is it?

If anyone has noticed the real High-end performance G37 has exhaust in the front, but in the game it comes from the back. You can see it in this photo next to the tire under the light.

The Nissan Skyline Sedan GT-8. I was shocked back in the days of GT4 since there werent many street cars with such a large amount of gears. Today is something very common.

Huh, never knew that. Wish it was in GT5.

Those are wastegate dump pipes, not the actual exhaust.

Huh, in the video it looked otherwise well ok.

EDIT: What are wastegate dump pipes?

Wastegates help regulate the pressure of the air going to the turbocharger. The excess pressure is exhaled out of the wastegates. This helps maintain the proper boost pressure of the turbocharger.

Skip to 1:40 and tell me if thats what a waste gate does.

It says in the video around 4:20:

"Front Exhaust with Apexi EVC to transfer exhaust front to back"

so Rotary Junkie is wrong, and you are right. it is in fact front exhaust, and, by switching the EVC, you make the exhaust come out the back of the car, likely for emissions, or what have you.

So the GT5 version has the rear exhaust enabled.

When you put a carbon fibre bonnet on a Mazda RX-8 the latches are painted the same colour as the car. I only came across it on this one car
