In this instance the Sky deal probably isn't such a terrible thing after all. Half the races, half the ugliness! So, it's very unclear if in 2012 we will see the grid filled with strange crocs or nice looking cars

Does anyone have a list of the dates for all the other teams unveilings?
No dates for the others set yet, Hispania will probably be 5 minutes before the start of Q1.
From the Autosport homepage:
2012 F1 LAUNCHES
Jan 26 Caterham
Feb 1 McLaren
Feb 3 Ferrari
Feb 3 Force India
Feb 5 Lotus
Feb 6 Sauber
Feb 6 Red Bull
Feb 21 Mercedes

Thanks
Is that Q1 in Australia or Malaysia?
Generally though its one of the ugliest cars I've ever seen, surely the rest of the grid will look better than this?
The Walrus nose Williams from 2004 looked better.
To be fair its looks were controversial at the time but I agree, it looked stunning. Unfortunately it made the car troublesome to set-up if I remember rightly and so it was ditched before the seasons end.I bet I'm one of the few people on Earth who thinks the Williams walrus nose looked fantastic.
Sure aesthetics are irrelevant for points and winning, but it's usually the most beautiful racing cars we remember.
This is true, but the point I was making is that I doubt Adrian Newey was ever told to go back to the drawing board because his car wasn't pretty enough.
Just for comparison:

I liked the way it looked, maybe it just looked out of proportion with the front wing. It would probably look better with the new wider wings.
I wish the Constructors bonus money went to the team with the best looking car. That would encourage the backmarkers to make their cars beutiful, giving them more time on TV, giving them more sponsers so that they can build a faster car in the future. And the team with best looking car gets the Constructors Championship, and all the prize money
It can be judged by someone who has no idea what F1 is. The FIA should just walk up to a random person, and give them 100$ for picking what they think is the best looking car, looking only at one picture of each car.
Just for comparison:
JESUS, that car is so much shorter and squatter than I expected.
Hm, seems the current regs are making the cars a bit taller.
