Every team is saying the cars are going to look different come the first GP so I'm not sure what to think about any of these things. I mean this isn't a surprise but they are saying it more so then they have years past, as if we can expect some noticeable changes.

man that color...i like how last season it was all white but this with the black front, white middle, black end looks ehhh. first thought of the black front end was the Ferrari when the pope died except the sauber has more black...i think if they were trying to hide the step nose they should of kept it white or something or at least not matte like the HRT

Just like last year's car; a horrible looking livery. Can you put even less time into getting a decent livery together?

The rear looks incredibly tight, though. I love it!

2 things i havent seen anyone mention here. First off the hump on the nose has a slot in it. Maybe to blow and keep air from joining back too soon or to keep it attached. And also possible blown beam wing. On that rear shot you can see a small slit in the back of it. Wether its there to stall it at speed or to keep flow attached were yet to see.

The livery is horrible are they actually trying to make the car look good. Black at the front but the wing is white, it just doesn't work

Aside from the way the wing goes under the nose and the exhausts, not much remarkable here. Is it just me or are those exhausts pretty far forward? Should give them a good chance of getting hot air up to the wing as compared to McLaren's dummy exhausts.

For those not wanting to click the link like me, I guess this is about the partnership between Chelsea and Sauber, which is a good thing. I dont know why Sauber would want more money tho, they already got Perez :D

Say hello to the newly coloured in Sauber C31

Simona has been busy testing in the car today doing 112 laps at Fiorano which are almost entirely useless since the car (like this thread) is 2 years old and running with non race tyres and no KERS.

^It will get her enough miles for her super licence, I believe.

If I remember correctly, she needs to be in a 'current' car with at least 300km of mileage at full racing-speed. The C31 is already 2 years old and I believe she won't be eligible to get the super license.

Another way of getting a super license is for her to finish in the first 4 positions in the IndyCar Series Driver's Championship.. Which she only scored 13th as the highest last year.

Following the episode with Mercedes last year, the FIA introduced a way to classify older model cars to avoid a repeat of that incident, and Pirelli provide special tyres for any car that falls into the category of newer old cars. It makes no sense for Sauber to put de Silvestro in the C31 if it cannot get her a superlicence. Especially considering that Sergey Sirotkin's career is under threat because his backers - the same organisation that back many Russian athletes - are facing sanctions over the Ukraine.

Agreed with what prison monkey says, would be interesting to find the actual rule about it though, kind of curious now.

That and Sirotkin isn't setting WSR alight
