champcar: Back on track

i was relyuing on you to post the results.........

1st Paul Tracy
2nd (again) bruno junquiera
3rd sebastein bourdais

i reacon drive of the day goes to justin wilson....barely been in one of these cars, first time at long beach and finishes 6th.

how sideways did tracy get pulling up the first corner...im surprised he kept control of the car, let alone taking the lead

guess what.....i run the third best fantasy champcar team in the world at www.champcarnews.com

its a great champcar site. i run Uncle Harrys Racing team and im third in the whole world and first in the rest of the world (the league of nations that doesnt include the u.k, u.s.a or canada)....i feel quite proud of this achievement. im kicking arse in the australian league.....man im good. go check it out and place a team

I'll post the results for the races but you can post 'em for qualifying from now on, OK?
Anyway I was staying up to watch it but I fell asleep. But I turned over and half woke up while I was sleeping saw Pat Carpentier (I thought it was Paul Tracy) hit the wall and keep going then rolled over back to sleep. But In the morning I was very anxious to see if it screwed Tracy's race up...But then I found out it was Pat.
Yeah Tracy did well in that race. Bruno almost caught him a few times though. I thought Pat did pretty well, his best result at Longbeach. Pitty about Tags pitcrew though.
Do you know a site that has a points breakdown for the race i.e. who got points for doing what?

the champcar website has the low down on that

i had 3 cups of coffee throughout the race to keep me going......i was screwed at school though.

bruno was close, but not close enough.....always the story with him

why are the races on so late.......its hard for me to watch. i think im gonna have to tape them and watch them the next night

I tape them but try to watcht them aswell. School, ahahah, us NSW people still have holi's. Oh well....

damn u

rumour flynig round id that champcar are thinking about racing on road/street courses only from next year....becoming a non-oval series.

but if the IRL stay as oval and champcars go all PROPER :P courses would be good for the situation over there in america...the casual fan will know the difference between the two

YeaH but the rumor tree has it that the IRL is going road racing next season. I think IRL will soon go through what Champcar has been over the last few years. I don't mind maybe 1 or 2 ovals a season but I don't mind if they have none either. I just don't want IRL going road racing because everything will go bad....:(

the IRL dont know how to turn right.....all the drivers will freak out at the sight of a right hand turn and crash into eachother. all the cars will retire and tony george will say that a 0% completion rate is nothing as its "just a number"

Hehehe! Damn yankee's! It seems on this forum that we are bigger fans of ChampCar than the people from the U.S. Funny that!

Well done;)

Sadly thats because more people in the states like Nascar than open wheel cars. I like both but I perfer the open wheel cars better :D

Yeah, I'm an open wheeler fan but I also follow the V8's. Although not really this year but still. I think it is sad that NASCAR is more popular but I can see why it is popular but still, Champcars for me!

i watch most.......(except IRL.................BORING!!!!!!!)

17 days till mexico.....who will win...is tracy stoppable....i think so. by TAGS!!!!!!!!!! na seriously......if tags dont win, i reacon junquiera...he has to get his act together sooner or later

Tracy IS stoppable but I think he has the drive to keep on going. Junquiera is Tracy's biggest competition but I don't think he will do it. I would like to see Tags win one at some point. Carpentier better win at least one too. He has the car to do it he just has alot of bad luck and I think he isn't as good a driver n some tracks as others. (obviously but I mean to a large extent)

The 2004 Tecate Telmex Monterrey Grand Prix is upon us and I don't want this thread to die so yeah. But the cars look competative and it looks like it will be a good race. Millencolin, Tags is doing well but you probably already know that, doing better than Carpentier in the latest qualifying session.. Justin Wilson Is doing very well. The battle between Tracy and Junqueira is not good for me, Bruno seems to be doing better than Tracy but hopefully he will show his stuff and win it.

It's on on monday night, late as usual but I'll still watch...OK, try to watch and tape it.

tracy WAYYY back. that harmed my fantasy champcar team. grrr

That Marques thing was funny! Tracy didn't do well but the two we back did well, Carpentier and Tags. I did tape it, good race, a bit interesting but there were too many yellow flags and the result was just by chance, they (newman haas) would have won if there were no yellow flags, but if there weren't as many they might have came 4 or 5.

Sucked into Marques, I think it was just his inexperience with being tow started.

ryan hunter-reay scored friday pole position for the milwalkee round at the oval.

blake, patrick qualified third and good old tagliani q7.......full times and stuff to follow

Go Carpentier, he's got two 4th's in a row this season, consistant. Hopefully with a good qualifying position he can come in with an even better finish.

Go Pat!!!!! 2md in the race and 2nd in the championship! Tracy's move was idiotic! You often see some stupid moves from him but at other times some very good one's. Ryan is doing well, 2nd win of his career.

great race from rhr......when was the last american who won on home soil;????? beats my memory, i think it might of been andretti or vasser.

tags.....shocker, thats all ill say. phillipe should get THE BOOT

tracys move wasnt that bad.....just when u get up into the grey area......your ****ED

Well Pat was using push to pass, Tracy was using push to pass to try and get past Pat, he tried to get around on the ouutside, it was inevitable. Going to fast around a corner and driving on the marbles, not smart.

Anyway next race is in 10 days in Portland a quick track with sub-minute times.

Good job for Ryan Hunter-Reay, but I still question Dale Coyne bringing in Gaston Mazzacane. Maybe they are being like the Champ Car version of Minardi-hiring drivers with much more money than driving skill just to stay afloat, which isn't needed.

Tarso will be back by seasons' end though. I seriously doubt they're gonna keep anybody in the 19 car for a long period of time.
