^ You might be better off without the wheel there, the force feedback really beats you up in the turns. I might try unplugging the power to mine, my arms were seriously sore after racing there all evening.

OK, I'm stuck on 204.3 mph. Can't get anything more out if the #83 Toyota. I am beginning to wonder if the extra 2 mph from Joe is due to it being a Ford?

Smoke then will check this out.

BREAKING NEWS.

The Ford is officially faster than the Toyota. First run using the same logic in settings that I used in the Red Bull, got me a record matching 206.5 MPH.

Some 2.2 MPH faster, and I know why.

There you go. THAT'S why Joes faster than everyone else.

So, for records sake :

2010 Ford Fusion #43 = 206.5 MPH
2011 Toyota Camry #83 = 204.3 MPH
2011 Chevrolet Impala #48 = 204.1 MPH

Try my settings on the other cars. I won't post settings that have no effect. I'd test the other cars, but I've not worn their engines in.

Aero: 20 70
Ride height: 15 -30
Spring rate: 9.7 7.9
Camber: 0 0
Toe: 0 0
Wash the car too, it apparently helps.

Also I was in the 2010 #99, not the #43.

These settings will not work in a race, just the max speed test. You won't be able to corner properly in a race.

EDIT: apparently the springs can be lowered more in the 2010 cars than the 2011 cars, which would give the 2010 cars a better result in the max speed test.

Knelly, don't tell the whole world haha. You gotta keep tests like this to yourself. :)

Maybe this race will be a manufacturers battle??

Joe's minimum spring rate list:

2010 #88 #24 #48 and all 2011 cars: 11.1 10.0
2010 #42 #14 #83 #20 #18 #11 #99 #43: 9.7 7.9

Summary: The top list of cars will be slower in the max speed test, but this will not be the case in the race, as you will have handling issues in the turns with low spring rate settings.

EDIT: Have some pictures.

Those in a row, around the bend. They're standing still ...... Right? :nervous:

EDIT: We using all usual specs tonight? 502bhp for example.

Nope, they're not standing still. But those ones are from an arcade mode race :) I'm the last car in line in the massive train (one of the three #24 cars) before any gaps.

Standard league rules are in effect, with a yellow line rule in place in the corners.

I'm guessing he's using the ride hight trick. Since there's no under car aero represented in game, if you jack the front way up and lower the rear, the downforce actually pushes you forward.

It'll give you a couple more mph in a strait line, but I wouldn't try turning like that.

Going to be unavailable for tonight i am afraid...

That's a shame, Furi...I've got a real nice 'donut' to put on your door just to show there's no hard feelings from our last race. :D

Learned a lot tonight about what it's going to take to win here next season. Mudd won, but in his typical unlucky fashion, this race doesn't count for points. : lol: This was a very fun event, and something I look forward to running next season with a full room.

It's about 🤬'n time!!! :gtpflag::cheers:

Good race, guys. Excellent drafting practice, too. Learned alot about which cars/drivers run best when hooked up. Gonna make 'Tona a very good race.

Who was at the race? Some good pushers may not have been there.

(I just got back)

Right on, I know some great Daytona drivers were missing, but those of us in there learned plenty. Hey, interesting fact, the very last lap was my first lap led this entire season. Lol

Great practice. Big thanks to my guy Crazy aka Killer and Mudd for dropping back to pick up Drop and I to pull ahead of the leaders.
