CLASSIC RACING - Sundays 17:00-19:00 BST - CONGRATULATIONS CHAMPIONS Flaco & Lex LathorFinished

Sorry I missed you guys last Sunday. All being well, I'm hoping to be back for this week.

Great images again @ZuluWraith. Very atmospheric. Love the side by side Countachs.

I'm learning it's important to stay on the tarmac. Duh.

You should be ok for Monaco (Cote Dazur) then - No sand traps! :P There's plenty of barriers for the sirens to lure you towards though.

Sick! next stop is Monaco? with Cobra?

Oh!
My!
God!
Should be interesting! It'll give the rest of us a chance - maybe. ;)

Our cars can´t do the Ring in under 6 minutes.
Harsk's probably could! To keep up I've added wings to mine - with jet engines fitted underneath.

Sick Cylinder - I sent a PM for you!
Hi Harsk - It seems you sent Sick a message to tell him you'd sent him a message! :mischievous:

Amazing body roll on that first Countach shot ZuluWraith
Great images again @ZuluWraith. Very atmospheric. Love the side by side Countachs

Many thanks Sick & If respectively 👍, i'm glad you guys liked 'em! - has anyone got any shots from the last photo shoot to post? (i like to see other peoples take on things :))

Still can´t keep up with the invis(nc)ible! :D

Edit: In case we have a race day on Sunday 22nd June, I can´t. That´s 24hrs Nürburgring and I will go there.

Breaking news! Although at first I knew that I wanted to participate in all events every Sunday, I have decided it is still worth doing 2/3 races instead of 0/3 races! So yes, I will be racing this Sunday! :D Which race so you do last?

The plan is to race every Sunday and if I'm not available with an alternative Host.

I hope the racing is good. Maybe you could post some photos up on GTPlanet after the race - I am sure many people will be interested - definitely I would like to see and hear more about the race.

Hi guys!, here's some shots from the first race at Monaco:

Next Round (10) is Spa - a good time to join us as we change cars for rounds 10-12.

World Classic Cars will be first. (315bhp, 1160kg)

Cobra (not chromeline) or Art Morrison Corvette is next - please use the Corvette as we have plenty of Cobras (453bhp, 1240kg).

One Make will be last - BMW 2002 Turbo (Max Tune - try Arrakis Speedshop for good max tunes)

my cars for next rounds:
1. Ferrari 250 GT: Rosso Rubino Metallic (from Dino '71, if possible) with original rims
2. Art Morrison Corvette: Hemi Orange with Classic Wire Knock-off Plain
3. BMW: Taiga Metallic with Enkei RC-T2, if possible

my full tuned BMW is ~400BHP/903kg. :D

Race Report / Results - Round 9 Monaco (Cote Dazur)

World Classics
1st - Lex Lathor - Shelby GT350
2nd - Emotional Rekz - Ferrari 250 GT
3rd - Zulu Wraith - BMW 507

Flaco qualified well in the Toyota 2000 GT, but sadly false started / had to retire.

Cobra v Corvette
1st - Emotional Rekz - Corvette
2nd - Lex Lathor - Cobra
3rd - Zulu Wraith - Corvette

One Make - Lamborghini Countach LP400
1st - Flaco
2nd - Emotional Rekz
3rd - Lex Lathor

Flaco returned for the third race and showed mastery of the difficult Lamborghini which was raced by all on standard settings. If it had been a real race, most of the cars would have needed time in the bodyshop as many drivers were unable to avoid contact with the barriers.

Cobra and Corvette now very close on points. BMW 507 heads the World Classics closely followed by the Shelby GT350.

Next Round - Sunday 18th May at 17:00 BST - Spa 7 Laps

Please note the change of cars which we will use for rounds 10-12. Please let me know your car choices and I will post up a table of them shortly - as always we try to have a range of colours and a range of cars. BMW 2002 Turbo used for "One Make Championship" will be run with a max tune.

Low attendance for Monaco - hopefully a fuller attendance for the popular and enjoyable Spa circuit - if you would like to race just send an FR to Sick_Cylinder - you will have a warm welcome whether novice or expert.

Okay. I'll be using the Art Morrison Corvette, but can I still use the C2? It was my last choice but I was never able to race. My BMW is GT Fluorescence light turquoise with BBS RS wheels. They look a lot like these:

They will be painted Gold Chrome. My C2 is Champion Yellow 4. The Art Morrison I haven't decided on yet.

I hope the racing is good. Maybe you could post some photos up on GTPlanet after the race - I am sure many people will be interested - definitely I would like to see and hear more about the race.
Sure, I´ll see what I can do. :)

Great shots as always Zulu - the detail of the red wheel with reflections in the hub cap is amazing!

Car Choices so far for rounds 10-12

NB Next cars to be chosen please are: Corvette C1, Mercedes 300SL Jaguar E Type, Shelby GT350

(For future championships the car choice order will be set at the beginning as it is proving too difficult / time consuming to track peoples choices)

Thanks, but I'm happy with the Jag and I just finished tuning it.

My E-Type is Carmen Red.
My BMW 2002 is Schwarz

Welcome guys! 👍

The BMW 2002 is a handfull! In addition to the very good tune by Arrakis Speed Shop I´d like to share with you what I had been working on, anyone interested in my tune for the BMW simply send me a PM and you get the tune in return. :)

So is the BMW race last? I can only race the first two rounds. Also, make sure you send me a message when you open the room.

Race Report / Results - Round 10 Spa
World Classics
1st - Flaco - Pontiac GTO
2nd - Lex Lathor - Ferrari 250 GT
3rd - Emotional Rekz - BMW 507

Honourable mention - excellent debut race from SmileyWRX 4th - Shelby GT350.

Flaco led from start to finish in the very torquey Pontiac GTO resplendent in bright yellow paint. Lex Lathor spun out of second place while being chased by Emo (BMW 507) and Smiley (GT350) - he fought his way back through the pack for a fine second behind Flaco.

At the back of the field Ryan Racer in his beautiful, yellow C2 Corvette outbraked himself and spun. There were presumably connection problems for Ryan and Whisper Crew (E Type Jaguar) so they have been credited with 8th place points.

Spa Start 0.jpg
Lex takes the wide line (Ferrari), Smiley goes up the middle (GT350) while Emo (BMW 507) and Zulu (300SL) go tight - Flaco is already gone!

Spa Start 1.jpg

Spa Start 3.jpg

Ryan (yellow C2 Corvette) goes for the gap between Zulu (300SL) and Sick (BMW 507), but over shoots the corner.

Spa Start 4.jpg
Spa Start 5.jpg

Above Emo (BMW 507) leads Lex (Ferrari) and Smiley (GT350). Below IfAndOr (GT350) threads his way past the spinning Ryan (C2) while Whisper Crew / Jbaffoh, who was caught out by the new (1.07 update) starting lights and false started, takes the escape road (Jaguar E Type).

Spa Start 6 Ryan spins.jpg

Cobra v Corvette
1st - Lex Lathor - Corvette
2nd - Flaco - Corvette
3rd - Emotional Rekz - Cobra

Honourable mention - SmileyWRX - Cobra. Smiley was on for a debut podium when a bobble on the brakes as he approached the final chicane saw his car slew from side to side. Emo was close behind and snatched third. Smiley recovered quickly to finish just ahead of IfAndOr's 5th placed Corvette.

Spa Cobra v Corvette.jpg

Above Cobra's and Corvette's thunder downhill. Below Smiley wrestles with his Cobra, Emo slips through to take third. Smiley recovers to take fourth with IfAndOr fifth.

Smiley Bobble Emo passes.jpg

One Make - BMW 2002 Turbo

1st - Lex Lathor
2nd - Flaco
3rd - Emotional Rekz

Honourable mention - SmileyWRX 4th.

These cars proved very difficult to handle. Sick qualified third, but worked his way backwards through the field to finish in last place as the leaders pulled away to win by a healthy margin. Zulu Wraith was disconnected on the last lap with just the chicane to go so is credited with 5th place. Whisper Crew was disconnected earlier in the race so is credited with last place with Ryan.

Above view down the hill from the Smiley car (light green), Whisper (Black). Lex (Green) and Flaco (Orange) lead.

Championship tables to be added via a seperate post.

Next Round - Sunday 25th May at 17:00 BST - Nordschliefe 2 Laps - Spaces Available
