Here's a thing I should clarify: The podium for each class earns provisional as always, but the provisional go to that class' next event. PC Class will still earn provisional, but for the 6 Hours of Nurburg on the 9th of August. The GT Class will have their provisional count for the Nurburg 12 Hour event, which makes the whole shortage of GT drivers not make any sense. Regardless, that's how the provisionals really work, so if you're a PC Class driver, you don't have a freebie by getting podium at Spa, that is unless you're someone like me who is a previous champion. But I'm not racing so that doesn't matter.
Also of note: This year's Nurburg 12 Hour event will be the first since 2010 that will not have any previous winners in the field. The first 4 races were won in this order: 2010-Cristine Espinoza, 2011-Evangeline Porter 2012-Elise Alexander, 2013-Elise Alexander. This year's running will also mark the last year that Diablo Pantera Racing will be in the event, while Scuderia Aguila makes its return after almost 2 years out. Look for these points through the various news articles as we approach this event.
