Glen test session at 640PP. I ran all of these without any PP/aero games at full DF.;)

Porsche 1:52.670
Toyota 1:53.620
Ford 1:53.622 (extra front aero on this car helps)
Chevrolet 1:53.632
BMW 1:53.789
Nissan 1:54.084
Aston 1:54.125
McLaren 1:54.221
Mercedes 1:54.527

The Cayman now has too much downforce and is too light. The Merc needs a re-tune and try it again

Iforce's post above had me re-thinking my commitment to the AMG so I ran a bit of testing before work this morning. Pretty new to the Glen but managed a 1:53.354 (53.161 optimal) baseline with the AMG. A bit quicker than the low 54's I ran in the lobby with Fudman a couple days ago. Immediately followed that up with a 1:52.780 (52.585 optimal) in the Z. I'm going to let curiosity get the best of me and try out a few more options before the end of the week. Revised manufacturer commitment and livery to come soon.

Would love to get a practice lobby together some time Sunday afternoon/evening EST if anyone is around.

Edit:

The mustang is pretty quick

Not gonna lie, it would be nice to see another Mustang on the grid.

i wanted to use the Mustang but it was just so loose with the Priano tune i had a really tough time holding on to it. I swapped to the supra and it was so much more planted even tho i wasnt as quick in it i felt like i could be more consistent over 30 min.

I am curious if anyone has run a full 30 min simulation and what the tire wear and time drop off looked like? I feel like after about 6 or so laps the time starts to fall which is before half race and tire conservation could play a part in the evening.

Sand and I ran a 15 lap race a few weeks ago, before the latest update, tire wear wasn't too bad.

The max number for the Nissan is the max number that is attainable. Are you limiting some of the cars for this series below their actual max attainable?

No, the max front and rear downforces are the max available and allowed for each given car, ecluding the rear diffuser installed. The only aero not allowed is the lower rear diffuser/spoiler as it bumps the rear aero max up further, but is not available to all cars....therefore it is being excluded.

Ok...it just seemed that the way it was being worded that these are the max...don't go above it. But it is impossible to go above it ;)

Unfortunately, there is no way for me to scrutinize and verify what aero has been installed pre race, so in the event someone were to slip the rear diffuser onto the car, they wouldnt be able to utilize the extra benefit of the higher aero afforded. Though visually during replays, it could be caught, and would be penalized. Its more a formality as I trust that this group sticks with the rule set.

Wow. Me, Fud and Iforce down almost 2secs a lap to the Cayman and the Camaro.

But the silver lining is the Nissan and Toyota are really damn close :) Should be a good battle to see who can get reverse handicapped first :)

Finally ran some practice laps - looks like I’m close to on pace, mid 1:53s with an optimum 53 flat 👌

Thanks heaps @Bologna_Duc for the tuning setup!
Ha! The Cayman and Camaro were in the 51s last night while the two Japanese brands were in the 54s and very high 53s.
Hopefully I’ll end up somewhere between those two 🤷🏻‍♂️👌

If Guido comes out and runs 51s then I guess I’ll have to come to grips with just being slow :)

I don’t tune so I’m just hoping for some close racing with a few friends.

On the bright side, we ran 16 laps last night and tire wear wasn’t really a factor.

I'd have to see it to believe it, and to verify the specs are in check. I spent some time this morning in the Camaro in an online lobby. Fastest I could get out of a near perfect lap was a 1:52.8 with optimal at 1:52.6. I'm sure there may be a drafting 1:51.9 in there, but thats on the ragged edge for me.
Keep in mind, the pp system does not account for tracks. A car that could be weak here, could be dominant at a different venue. Also, we are all starting at the same pp level to start the season using the various cars, so we also need to consider the differences in skillsets, tuning ability, etc. I'm certain after an event or two, better parity will develop.

I didn't save the replay sadly but fast laps by Phlano and Sand were in the 51's. My fastest was in the high 53's.

Phlano and Sand raced together closely the entire race (16 laps) and finished almost 30sec ahead of Me, Fud and Iforce. And no one crashed. Me, Fud and Iforce raced closely the entire race.

So most definitely the average lap and fast laps of Phlano and Sand were at the very least 1.5secs per lap faster.

Hey @socalnatv and @Phlano099 ....can you guys shed some light. Were you fellas at the 640.00 spec? And what was your average lap times..ballpark?
