Hi guys. Really sorry again but I wont be able to make the race tonight. This season is looking a bit like a part time one at the moment (sorry Omnius) as I fully intended and wanted to commit fully, but such is life, you don't always know what is around the corner... Hopefully I can make next week's race - I'm really missing not being able to race these lovely Japanese coupes with you guys...

Not to worry Jammy - we'll be rolling into S7 the following week after R10 so what you miss this season, I'm sure you'll pick up in the following one :D

Well that was a donkey's arse of a nights racing for me,just couldn't get any pace out of the orange pig. Really need to make some time for practice again.

Congratulations on the double fuel,we can't have you making a habit of it though ;)

I should also have practiced. Fastest I managed tonight was a 15.2. Way off the pace. Great racing though, shame I had to pull out of race 1 due to a plumbing problem.

I really enjoyed the racing, I was not as slow as I feared I would be.

The 2nd race was great because despite a bad start again (every single time someone spins in a cloud of smoke, I choose the wrong side of the track, it's getting hilarious), the strategy proved really important and was fun to see develop. And I got my best result so far!

Thanks Omnius, I don't hate you anymore for choosing this track. :D

Its impossible to make a clean pass on this track. Either somebody screws up or "forced" the pass. Dowlin's approach was quite interesting. In the uphill S's he gave me a little tap on the back, causing my car to rotate just enough to have a bad angle on the next turn and go wide out of it. No problems there, but Race two somebody full body slammed me side on side to go by, not cool (not talking about the typical start chaos) =/

It was possible to overtake cleanly in the tunnel, providing you'd get a very good speed at the exit of the previous corner. Only worked once for me, though...

R4H2-24.png

What an excellent opening few laps for Heat 2! Amazing racing from Ade3210, and what a performance from Fuelmyfire to come from the back of the grid to take 1st 👍

R4H2-25.png

The low light of the tunnel gives Omnius a chance to play with his full beams...

R4H2-26.png

...or prehaps it's to warn Geordie139 he's coming through! :sly:

R4H2-27.png

Dowlin & Geordie run wide...as Omnius & Ade keep in tight...

R4H2-28.png

Looks like Dowlin39 has ran TOO wide and OFF!!! - OmniusALX uses this to his advantage and sneaks in front of Geordie139 👍

WarriusZero closes onto the tail of Geordie139 for a few close laps!

Fuelmyfire is onto his first double! Only 1 lap to go...

R4H2-36.png

Scanny_Flick can't believe it! Is that Third_Reign losing it at the tunnel???

R4H2-37.png

R4H2-38.png

Unlucky for Third_Reign...Scanny_Flick on the last lap is gifted a 2nd place surely?

R4H2-39.png

It's 2 from 2 for Fuelmyfire 👍 👍 👍 What a race! This WILL change things in the standings! Well Done :D

R4H2-40.png

A well run night from Scanny_Flick - Clever pit strategies put him in the right track place everytime 👍 Double podium places were the reward :D

R4H2-41.png

Its 3rd for Third, unlucky for missing out on 2nd...it was SO close :indiff:

Really cool and I did get some inspiration from your pictures Omnius, :)

Cheers Cobani! If there was one thing regardless of how you like to take your photos, I'd always encourage anyone to use the 16:9 format... it adds so much more *punch* to your photos :)

Just did a short test session for Friday. Conclusion: only you crazy brits would think of racing roadsters in the rain. On 100%wet/weather the MX5 is more than a hand full, way too much power for those poor tyres weeping for grip. Was a whole 26 secs slower than my best in dry. The car has to be set up completely different for wet and I'm not able to find a setting that works in both conditions. Although I must say I'm very happy with my dry setting. They just plow into corners and then swing out completely once throttle is applied in full wet conditions :(.

Was that with rain tyres?

It's in the lap of the gods the weather - it will be 0% track, 0% start and 5/10 for the change of weather. :)

yup, on hard in full wet it doen't do anything but pirouettes ;)

The thing I dislike about GT Weather is its unpredictability...might be all dry and you lose 1sec a lap due to a compromise set up...
(and the fact that you cant see anything in cockpit view)
