It's been said before.

An airbag is good.

A seat belt is good.

Both together are better.

Just like peanut butter and chocolate.
Social distancing must correspond to the car's brakes/grape jelly portion of the sandwich, then.

The allegations of "trust the science" hypocrisy would be a whole lot more meaningful if it wasn't coming from COVID deniers.

My great grandma was telling me about how back when Polio was around, everyone lined up to get the vaccine as soon as it came out. She said that there wasn't this huge "anti-vax" sentiment back then like there is today.

Sheep. Our ancestors were too cowardly to face polio like real men. If you have guns, and big truck, polio should be scared of you.

I'm fairly certain the President can deny visitation to anyone he wants for whatever reason Secret Service wants. All they have to say is the unvaccinated pose a health risk, end of story.

Cry, Wolf. Cry harder.

Where's that journalist who whined that Jill Biden wasn't a "real" doctor now that he can finally do some good?

Evidently this attitude toward virology and science hasn't done Great-GrannyTurNismo any harm in the long run. More power to her.

Meanwhile, back on topic with this red hot take from Shelia (sic) Farmer:

Clinton was a murderer. Obama was Kenyan. Biden stole the election. When was the last democrat president that the GOP actually "accepted" with "dignity"?
I'm guessing it'd be pre-Southern Strategy.

They will accept with dignity when the Democratic candidate wins fairly. Duh.

Oh wait, that could never possibly happen in their eyes.

Eh, not exactly. My 85yo great-grandma got her vaccine but was skeptical at first and put it off for a while. She's certainly not some QAnon/Pizzagate nutjob but she was one of those "I don't want to take the vaccine because I don't know what's in it" types. Apparently she heard from a lady whos granddaughter got the vaccine and then became infertile. That's almost certainly completely bogus, but by the time you reach your mid-80s you do start to become more gullible about things.

Oh, well. At least she didn't get polio.

My son got his 4 month vaccinations then was diagnosed with CF weeks later. My wife posted the news on Facebook and someone said "do you think the vaccines gave him CF?"

I thought our friends were smarter than that.

That’s one hell of a disease. I wish your whole family luck. I’m terrible sorry to hear that.

Do bumper stickers count as social media posts?

I ran across this one the other day. That would be the opposite of freedom.

I would think not because it's not a basis for interaction. It's a sign and it's one-sided like any sign is, but with the addition of usually being either in motion or unattended.

That said, I've policed this thread as much as I'm going to. Whether content meets any requirements established up to this point is a matter of poster's discretion, I just hope that isn't abused for the purpose of the sort of ****-posting some have exhibited and I also hope participants adhere to forum guidelines. I also may have narrowed the scope too much, but I'm not compelled to make any changes because, as I said, I'm not going to police it.

I'm interested in your reasoning that has led you to call that the opposite of freedom. Maybe you're looking at it in a way that I'm not.

Obviously freedom doesn't work that way. It doesn't rust, rot or go rancid. You either have it or you don't, and neither is because you didn't "use it."

Edit: I actually came here to post something.

Because it's compulsory. If you want to have the freedom, you must use it. So, for example, if we apply this to guns. If you want the freedom to own guns, you must own guns. This is not freedom, this is a gun ownership requirement. Same for freedom of speech, if you want the freedom to burn a flag, you must burn a flag. That's the opposite of the freedom to burn a flag.

It keeps going of course. The freedom to vote is not a freedom if voting is required to have it.

Edit:

And because I just have to say it... if you want the freedom to be homosexual, you must do a dude*.

*if you're saying this to a guy, which in this case I was
