On a side note, Seasonal Events updates tomorrow morning and being a new month, GT5 is due for a patch. Maybe it will be taken care of when they update the seasonal events? ::crosses fingers::

I hope I can make it up there with you guys if they kill this whole cutting thing. I haven't even logged any laps since yesterday when I just tried the tracks out. If this cutting thing isn't resolved I might as well say bye to round 3 unless I decide to mow grass during halftime.

I sent autoblog an email with a link to this forum and specifically the thread with the top three times and their replays. If they post it as well it will have pretty wide reaching audience and hopefully the more the word spreads Sony will have to react somehow.

Yeah pretty sure everyone ahead of us has cut at Indy.

Right now I'm teaching my brother how to run the R34 at Indy and I've coached him to a 1:55.135 so far.

Edit: We just had a good laugh at him cutting the corners.

I think the whole thing is a joke now GT5 would be a laughing stock of all the other games out there (Turn 10, iRacing...etc) If Kaz would let this go on without correction it will definitely be a losing face & credibility for PD developers.

They will be called "The ultimate mowing simulator" 👎👎👎

If that's the case then we bust balls to put down the fastest clean laps physically possible, progress, then absolutely destroy next round. I really hope this (bolded above) isn't the case (their one and only solution) but it's better than letting even more drivers with questionable values knock out other clean drivers who deserve to be in the top 16.

I'd say its probably a pretty good bet that everyone on the leader board who is ahead of Fix has been mowing the lawn. And he has been bumped al the way down to 19th. 👎

I tried it, I think it just depends on how close you get to the walls. If I stayed away from the wall enough it doesn't invalidate. When I get close to the walls it invalidates when i get back on. I would think an update would be required to have the boundaries changed since it doesn't get the track from the net.

EDIT: nevermind, I don't know why it only invalidates it sometimes lol.

Haha so what you're saying is that if you're "too good" at pulling it in tight around the walls you get zapped.

Time is ticking and I've been pushed out of the top 16...not a good feeling. I can tell you that if PD doesn't comment on the situation by Thursday then I have to believe the cuts will be allowed and I'll need to bust out the lawnmower. I'm making it to the next round no matter what it takes, as long as it is within PD's rules, or lack thereof.

Alright so now the time goes red if you try to cut turns 9/10 at Indy. Anyone know if this was fixed? The fast times are still in the 48's so are the rest of us just SOL? This is such a joke that now seems to have gone from bad to worse. At least I can say i didn't cut and feel damn good about my 51.4 after driving for just a couple hours. 👎

All I can say is this: If they allow it for this round (god forbid the next one as well) and any of us make it to Silverstone the first thing we should do is take their $80k GTR and drive it straight into the infield. (JK )
