Cutting corners in Indy

I think we have 2 options at this point.
Option 1: Run CLEAN laps at Indy, contact "authorities", and let the cheaters cheat. Publicize the issue (it makes PD/Sony look pretty bad) and hope that something is done about it quickly.
Option 1.1: Is there any chance that reporting the drivers doing the cheating using a complaint form: http://np.us.playstation.com would work?
Option 2: If, by Sunday night, there's no acknowledgment from Sony/PD/Nissan, join the cheaters...
It's certainly worth a try. If everyone from GTP submits a complaint about it they'll have to take notice. I'm going to send a pm to Jordan, see if he has any ideas.

hmmm,typically ppl cheating only affects guys on "the bubble" (i.e 16th place in this case). I must say, usually the difference can be made up on the track so I never worry about it, but the free 2 seconds they found? LOL i'm actually a lil worried
I love a challenge but this will be a difficult one that I may not overcome if everyone starts to do it. I feel really bad for the guys who would've normally made the top16 in their region and deserve to move on.
I can say that I won't be doing this.....it will be really fun trying to beat the cheat; however, really bitter if I lose round 2 because of it.

P.S. I havn't driven Indy before, but isn't there an option to make the grass much more slippy? has PD not done this?

I never joined GT Academy, but I just the saw the vid, and just wow, what a load of crap. I hope something is done about it. Sorry to the clean drivers who have to put with this nonsense.

Could anyone tell me how to view the replay like that, with the gauges showing? When I view replays all I get is the race spectator mode- I can change views, but I can't get the look like it does when driving. Thanks!

Why can't everyone just play fair! We are are all busting our ***** trying to get a lap time the right way and then you have these ****** ******* messing up everything. SOMEONE CONTACT THE AUTHORITIES GET THEM TO RESET THE LAP TIMES!!!!

It took alittle longer from a dumb move on my part. Iam just going to not do this Academy anymore. If they do something I may put in some work, but with this taken place it just takes all of my drive away.

just amazed that this doesn't come up as a red lap lol PD so bloody stupid to even PUT this track in the academy if they knew this was there.
If they DIDN'T know it was there, i think that scares me even more :S

I am in with this man. I am not in the competition, but if I was, this would be what I did. This cheating **** is so revolting.
But if everyone is cheating and polyphony and nissan condone it it by allowing to happen, then ya'll will have no choice but to cheat as well.

I can't even enter GT Academy (Canadian) and this pisses me off. Isn't the point of this to pick someone that would excel driving a real race car. How can someone who cuts corners be qualified to drive a real race car? Come on Sony/PD get off your hineys and do something about this.

I chuckled at the grass run on the cape, and tried it, tho I was never close enough for it to make any difference. I joined the John Deer club (tho they might kick me out with this post). But when we accepted that as legitimate, we opened the doors for any and everything. What's next ... hacking the game? I guess that'll be legit too ... hey,anything to win.
PD can't do anything about it now. No laps are going to be DQ'd. Can you imagine the can of worms that would open up. What would be counted as bad, one tire off the track, grazing the rumble strip?
I do feel sorry for the legitimate drivers that this WILL affect. I was on the side of the grass cutters in the cape. Those drivers would still have finished in the same positions, give or take. But this truly WILL affect outcomes. Too bad it had to come to that. I'm not going to cut corners in indy, it wouldn't matter in my case anyhow.

Wow that is pretty hardcore. The trouble here is that lets say only a handful of people from each region do this. If SCEA/PD/Nissan do nothing, then that is a handful of legit folks not making it to the next round. I think I could be one of those bubble folk and it would be a shame to come up short a few spots. Also troubling is we only have a week to react. I think I'll move on to Toscana for now.

And I may not speak for us all, but the majority of our little "club" has posted on here adamantly against these cheaters (me, blindside, etc.)I've sent complaints via the psn thing regarding every "racer" that was cheating. I recommend everyone who can to do the same.

What a horrible way for the clean racers to lose out on going to the finals, This has to stop! PD are you listening? you must have some official people view these replays when you run competitions and maybe the people who make the finals will be worthy and make for a good event, if that guy gets through you might as well just scrap them as its a farce and what does it say about the ultimate driving simulator then? 👎
On a cheerier note, a few of you will no doubt meet him at the finals! I can visualize someone following him into the toliets (or if he goes for a smoke etc.. ) and knocking ten bales of sheet out of him 👍
After the way he has blatantly attempted to rob so many genuine racers of their rightful place!... he deserves no less than a good humiliation at the venue

Imo, the only way to fix this is for the organizers and PD to cancle Round 2, figure out a fix, and restart Round 2 next week. There is no telling how many people have already cut the corner.

For those becoming disheartened by the cheating, I would say that you should continue to drive honestly because I'm sure common sense will prevail. If, as many of you seem to think, these guys' times are otherwise unimpressive, then continue to use them as a target, because you will get all the more pleasure from beating them honestly, I know I would
