For me, the point has already been reached where I start to hate the game and a large part of the players I meet there from the bottom of my heart. It's not racing there, it's blunt selfish acarde ramming.
My times are not the very best, I realize that because I obviously don't have a good feeling for e.g. that Toyota can develop. With the Toyota I find it difficult to drive a constant 1.33.xx, whereas I can drive the McLaren F1 GTR BMW very consistently low 1.32.xxx.
I'm aware that I'm still a long way from top drivers, but I don't have that claim. I'm a B driver and don't need to compete with A+ drivers. ( I've only been playing GTS for 29 days )

But what I have to experience in the race frustrates me beyond measure. There are very fair drivers and I appreciate that and enjoy it, but the majority of them behave in such an extremely unsportsmanlike manner that I am increasingly disappointed/aggressive.
I claim that I drive really clean lines and if I notice that the man behind me can actually be faster, I voluntarily make room, sometimes I reduce the speed, let him overhoo and follow him as best I can. I also pay attention to the lines of these drivers to learn more.

But in every damn race there are countless drivers who absolutely intentionally abuse you as a brake/ram. It is shot at full speed into a curve where I am and then I fly off. Or any reasonable braking points are ignored and you get a kick to fly straight straight away.
Yes something like that can happen TIMES, but here it is the norm. These riders are NOT faster than me, otherwise I wouldn't be able to catch many of them in a short amount of time when they have a clear track.

If these players have too much distance to the front, they cannot do fast laps and it is easy to catch up.

I'm also often pushed into the grass or the wall on the straight. The McLaren seems to accelerate much better here and reach a higher pace than many others. This allows me to pull past others quite easily on the straights, even without a slipstream. But then I often get rammed and pushed aside.

This behavior frustrates me greatly and makes me extremely angry. I wonder how people like that would drive in a real race. In any case, I would really "tell my opinion" to these drivers after such a race.

That must be top split, I ran a 31.2 and in an all S/A room i qualified 5th much to my surprise. Things seemed to be cleaner tonight, needed that after yesterday. Tried a few more cars, of all of them the wrx feels quite capable, ran very, very consistent 31.5s to .7s in qualifying which is excellent pace. Will try racing with it tomorrow.
All mid B/S - I'm at 20k just now I think - up from 15k last week. If I do any more B races I'll be dropping back again. Very tight grids 1:30.7 to 1:31.6. Racing was generally very clean though, just not enough laps to make much progress.
It definitely takes some getting used to. I once hated it because of the stop-go-stop-go nature of it, and the constant dive-fest at every hairpin bend. But once you get used to the rhythm it can be a fun place to have loads of close-quarters battles with other competitive but considerate drivers - if you can find them!

@Barney Da Dog I just spotted your post about the Viper. Nice lap! I'll have to jump into the Viper and see what I can do in it. I thought a 31.8 would put me in a good position on the grid, but by the sounds of your grid placement, maybe not! But then I think you've gone a fair bit ahead of me on DR numbers now...
I had the BB at -2 and it was turning in nicely to the tight turns. Most people in the race were in RSRs, Beetles and RCZs (are RCZs capable of a clean pass - doesn't seem like it) guy that won was in an RSR and fastest lap of 1:30.6 went to and RCZ. I was at 1:32.** and battling for 13th

This behaviour is true of many drivers, unfortunately. There are far too many rammers and people who use you as a brake/barrier to push their way through (because there's no damage or penalty to affect them).

One note though, the McLaren F1 is NOT fast through the corners, so you'll have other cars cornering much quicker than you and due to the poor driving standards of many they'll just push past. I can recommend trying a number of other cars, maybe the Evo, WRX, or Genesis for Interlagos. Less skittish than the Supra but all very capable cars when it comes to cornering. You might have more luck with them through the corners where other cars would currently have the advantage. The McLaren F1 is pure lightning on tracks like Monza, Tokyo, La Sarthe, St Croix - but it gets into trouble in the tight twisty stuff because it's made for high speed stuff.

Had a few runs at Daily A tonight. Knew it had a high chance of chaos, and there was plenty. But after a few races of ups and downs where most of it was cause by the opening lap or 2 of chaos it got really filthy. A dirty driver and a few A+ drivers started appearing. Apparently being A+ but starting behind lower ranked drivers is an insult. So they just started shoving, blocking and ramming people off to protect themselves and have their 'rightful' podium spots. I'm done with it now. Might time trial daily C and and golf for the rest of the week. Had some good races, but they are getting harder to find.

Two things I'm curious about:
1. What do the numbers on red backgrounds next to the gear number on the heads up display signify?
2. Is there somewhere one can find a history of the races and finishing positions, along with other stats such as time, etc. for oneself?

Thanks.. you are right. I'll try the Mazda Atenza... first Round Was a Horrorround. I was thinking i drive a Car the First Time on Game.
Secound Round almost my Best Time , third Round, i beat my best Time.

It feels much slower than my McLaren, but it is faster....

This circuit is all about cornering - find a car that is planted and stable in the corners and you can push harder than a car that's lightning in a straight line.

That' the suggested gear for the next corner. When it's flashing you need to brake. If you don't know the braking points yet, a good rule of thumb is to start braking after it flashes twice. However the suggested gear is often on the low side and you can take 90% of the corners 1 gear higher.

You have your course stats here

Yet individual races aren't tracked. You would need a site to track you while racing as PD doesn't leave that info publicly accessible after a day.

Thanks! I didn't think to keep track of my race results. I guess I'll start doing that so I'll have history.

Good racing with @Mc_Yavel and @Desh28Desh this morning. The rooms aren't full anymore in SR.S. Pretty clean racing except for one individual. He was already on my block list when I tried to mark him, repeat offender. I passed him on the way to Porsche curves but he stuck a nose in on the inside to barge his way through leaving me in the sand trap. Even though there is no braking zone there with these cars, corner rights still apply.

Same thing as the high speed left on the middle straight at the Nordschleife. Lift and turn, car behind with a tip of a nose on the inside doesn't lift and uses you to get around the corner. Very dirty.

Thank you for the tip.

But now he doesn't care, got a 7 day ban because I couldn't stand these unfair/nasty drivers anymore and got mad. These asses...... can do whatever they want and the faint hearted suffer for it.

Let's see if I come back at all. The game is fun but the system is inherently unfair and support only sees my last message apparently and nothing that led to it.

7 day ban for what???

Ten says it's the same reason as always - posting offensive messages in chat/PSN messages after the race.
Not realy, this Guy Drives crazy like hell. I only say after Game he isn't a good Driver.

After that, he sent me a taunting private message via PSN, to which I didn't respond very kindly, but still within the rules (at least according to my beliefs).

After that I blocked him because I'm easily irritable and didn't want to take any risks.

Well what the heck. It is what it is, but in my eyes it hits the wrong note. Especially since I had no contact with this driver, I just drove behind, overtaking would not have been possible because he maliciously rammed everyone who tried to do so off the track. I would have been faster, but he would have shot me down in the next corner at the latest, because he did the same with everyone else.

Your beliefs don't matter. Sony's terms of service do. If you send offensive messages according to Sony's terms of service, you leave yourself wide open to being reported and banned for it.

As indeed you have been.

That's what I was guessing. Something being said on the PSN.
Never heard of a PD ban for on-track behavior. Well, except for qualifying exploits.

It's never happened - and never will in GT Sport. In fact I don't even know why that's an option on the Report function.

Reports go to Sony's (human, not automated) moderators, not to PD. There's no provision in Sony's terms of service for griefing, so driving like a tool to disrupt other people's races is simply not prohibited.

Exploits are against the "community code of conduct", but PD tends to deal with these directly; I'm not sure of the mechanism here, but I'd guess all on-track sessions are recorded somehow 🤷‍♂️

Time to take a long break from sport mode, not sure if I return to sport mode in GT Sport. Starting to lose interest, and also GT7 comes out quite soon. 7 more endurance races in campaign mode to complete all offline stuff, plus racing in one league. I have done well enough in FIA races.

Anyways, great way to finish it, top5 nr.200 (554 races), in what I would call a proper Nations Cup style combo. Time for new challenges until GT7 🏁 This game really took my driving and commitment in simracing to another level, happy with my effort into this game.

Yeah B (containing the most amount of drivers) is very diverse. I get up to 22k and then start dropping as that is my current ceiling. You can see plenty of A/A+ qualy times at the top end of B.

Yep, good racing this morning. I still need to find some pace around the track. The car have so much grip, I just need to trust the aero a bit more. @Sven Jurgens. Are you flat out at Virage Tertre Rouge? You left me in the dust there, partly due to the fact that it's a tricky corner and i play it safe.

Also, nice overtake at Indianapolis, I did not see it coming. You are very confident with your capacity.
