Seaside in this direction is somehow incomprehensible to me, although I love it in the other direction and am quite good. But this week I'm having trouble driving consistently 1:48, faster times are out of the question. This may also be due to the fact that I do NOT like FF at all
Exactly the same for me. I can’t get below 1.48. I can’t get on with FF cars and I don’t have the skill to compensate in a different vehicle that’s not suited to the track. I did one race and was seconds off the pace. The good thing about driving around in last place is that’s it’s tricky for people to ram you off the track but aside from that it was a bit pointless.

You made my Day Bro. Maybe i will Drive today some Races from Behind :D

First time i've posted on here so Hello everybody...!
Been an avid fan of GT for years but only recently, last few months, got in to GT Sport Mode... Before i knew you could find you DR points on Kudos Prime i was really enjoying the races, so i'm trying to just forget about the points and enjoy it for what it is...
I seem to have a decent split of good races with fair drivers, those that will slow down on the last lap before the finish line to give you a place back if they accidentally punt you off, and those that blatantly just punt you off from behind or force you wide even when you leave room...

Was doing race B last night and something happened i've never seen before.... it is a rolling start so off we went, but after a few seconds the top half of the field all stopped, for 2-3 seconds, while the rest of the grid carried on with the rolling start. Then once auto-drive finished the top half had a standing start and the rest just ploughed on by.... looked on the reply and it looked like there was a safety car something ahead of first place.... Very weird and pretty much screwed the race for most of the top 8 starters...

Also, i dont fully understand what damages your SR score but mine has tanked, might have had the odd slight nudge through the chicane of death but nothing major, and few people breaking testing me on the straight...... does driving through a ghosted car go against you, how about side swiping a barrier...

Welcome!

SR is mostly about contact, whenever you touch another car you pay in SR, when you drive for long enough without contact you earn SR. So short races with lots of contact, (Race A+B) can be SR costly. And yes, ignore DR, and drive for fun!, don't drive dirty and enjoy the game. The basic rules on how to behave on track is linked in my signature.

I tried Suzuka several times, not possible to drive one clean race, when I don't do crash by myself I will be rammed out of the race in the hairpin or the last chicane.

But fell in love with Race B in a Shirocco, with 1.46.3 I can fight for wins. It's sometimes a little rough but you do not have to quit a race after one bump like in Suzuka.

Looking forward to race B next week. I like the track.

Looking forward to practising next weeks B this weekend. Having to learn the track entirely from scratch is something I find quite rewarding. Hopefully it goes better for me than this week’s track. Glad to have gr3 as well. Roll out my trusty RCZ.

Pole had a bad connection and so the start sequence didn't happen correctly. Sometimes it happens further down the grid and those in front drive off without those behind.

I give up for this week I think. I've only been able to drive again since Wednesday, but both routes/vehicle combinations don't seem to suit me.

And Suzuka is not exactly my favorite track, but it goes relatively well, but I'm not able to move the Nissan "correctly" in any way, either I always lose a little time in all sectors and thus only achieve times of around 1:50 or I'm doing really well in 1-2 sectors, but then throw the car off the track so violently in one sector that it feels like it takes me an hour to find my rhythm again. Also really great, I have good sector times and then I turn the car in the 180 degree bend or in the last chicane, or the very last bend before the start and finish, because I lose traction due to too much gas.
It's jinxed this week.

I haven't done a B or C race yet this week because my qualifying times are way too bad anyway. I don't want to be a "victim" or a stumbling block on the track.

So far I'm quite happy with the Road to GT7 event, I'm finding more and more time on the track every day. (I haven't been there for a long time and "only" a B class driver)
Wow please tel me that i'm not the only one "Stupid" Player.
I'll join a C Race and then i see i can/have to change the Tyres from Hard to Medium. Grrr havent se that before, so i try al Qualifying on Hard Tyres.

You don't need to change tyres from hard to medium. You only need to use hard and medium once each during the race.

That means you can start on hard and end on medium, or start on medium and end on hard; in either case, qualify on the softest tyres you're allowed to use.

We flag this mandatory tyre requirement where it applies in our article every Monday when the races change.

Yeah it's not enjoyable at all. I start on hard tires at the back, pit in lap 4, best I can do. Yet A+ drivers already pit in lap 1 or 2, end up behind me on fresh mediums and make no effort to make a clean pass. Yesterday I did one race and got bumped off, cut off and pushed off by 5 different A+ drivers that pitted early. No thanks, don't want to do another.

If there is a gap, i.e. you leave room, you get run off, can't leave any space for the other car...
If there is no gap, bump to make a gap.
Until this, it was a nice race, i kept it clean, had my fun and used 2-3 laps to get close to him.. murdered..

Good time for race B next week? I’m top half of B rank. Got a 121.5 as my best so far but I can push harder for sure. Still learning the limits of the track. The Rcz feels good too.

Today was one of my worst days on this game ever. I was victimized in the first couple of races and shot myself in the foot in the rest.

But through all the DNFs and DFLs, I had one good clean race that almost made the rest of the day worth it. Ironic that it was in a low SR lobby.

I tried and tried and tried... safe to say I did at least 50 laps on Dragon Trail but... welp, I can't see me breaking this limit without getting a good consistency at sector 1. Sector 2 and 3, no problem at all. Sector 1 chicane and the last corner? By the gods...

2nd picture sums up my experience during the whole week 😆

Seems a fairly decent set of races. I did some testing for race C and the Megane Trophy seems to be the quickest. Top guys might get more out of the Alfa 4C than i managed. I did laps in Alfa, WRX, Evo, GT86, Megane & the Trophy and i was a second quicker in the Trophy.....and the tyre wear will be be non existent in it

I don't recall ever racing Sardena in that direction before.....I like it. Did 25 laps or so last night, few interesting/challenging turns, banked corners. I'm looking forward to next week. Any guesses on what cars will be the most popular?

I don't know what it is about Catalunya, I just can't get into that track, not quite as fun as others. I like C races though, maybe things will change next week.

My goal today was not to have to race with the A/S hole crowd in the road to GT7 series today. So I entered race B which promptly delivered. Not surprising for a Saturday afternoon, didn't take long to drop out of SR.S (from people crashing in the bus stop then blocking the racing line, bump them up to speed, -10 SR for you) and then it just got dirtier and dirtier.

Thus from 46K to 15K in SR.C lol. Never hit anymore off road, yet being put as A/S or A/A against D/S, any touch is -10 SR for DR.A. Much easier than driving back and forth to reset, just enter race B on Saturday afternoon without qualifying

Every race there is at least one asshole brake checking and ramming people off the track, and they usually start behind me, ram me off first. And nearly always blue SR for these as their DR is already so low from resets they're practically immune to SR deductions.

Road to GT7 lol, GTS is starting to change my mind again about getting GT7. PD better detail an overhauled rating and penalty system or there is no point in continuing with online racing in Gran Turismo.

Why don't you come to EMEA? You're fast enough to be in the higher lobbies, and they're really clean. I hardly recognize any of the crappy behaviour you're describing. It's rare that I encounter a total idiot. Even accidents are fairly rare.

I would hate to be the one making races laggy for everyone else. Most of Europe is closer than Argentina to me, but still 6,000 km away and more. Physics :/

I’ve been doing race B today, and made nearly 3K in DR points, most in a single day I think, which is good for me.

Had quite a few clean races this morning but as the day went on it got dirtier and dirtier. Guessing there are good and bass times to go in if you want a clean race…????

Brake checking down the straight, trying to go 3 wide in to the chicane of death, it’s tanked my SR down to C now…

Don’t understand why when someone is clearly faster and they overtake you they have to push you wide for no reason and constantly keep hitting you when running side by side down a straight…

Firs race loading for Tokyo, lot of E/B accounts. Why are people such cowards! Mixed field, was expecting all GT40s like the leaderboards lol.

One E/B account qualified 2:19, the others (not qualified) all lined up behind me. Genuine slower drivers in between.
This will get dirty :banghead:

I did some lobby races and the 911 and SLS were common. I’m going with the RCZ myself. What sort of times were you getting?

I am indeed quite content with today and yesterday.
Unfortunately, I made the "mistakes" both days and hoped for reasonably reasonable and fair races in the B Race. As a result, unfortunately, I hardly gained any points, this morning I even slipped from B to C in the DR at times.
It was extremely vicious in these races. Everything that happened in the few races would fill several pages here.

But yesterday and today I was quite successful in Suzuka and 2 GT7 races went pretty well for me.
In the first GT7 I had pole, but the driver on grid position 2 really got on my nerves during the first laps. He wasn't faster than me, but in the two hairpin bends he always pushed me out by braking later. Very unsportsmanlike. I was then able to lose him thanks to a very early pit stop. Unfortunately, in race 2 I was only able to place 3 (starting place 4) because some very unfair players caused unrest at the beginning.

I like Suzuka, I'm definitely not the fastest, but I can now set very consistent lap times with a clever pit strategy, so good results are possible for me. Also drive more drivers quite fair there. There are exceptions, but with patience and prudence, Suzuka allows a lot.
I hope I can still find enough time to drive on Sunday.

Noooooooo...

After a bunch of P3 to P6 finishes at Suzuka, I started on pole in this race and led every lap - til I was coming out of the last chicane and lost the rear 😭😭

I'd gone 6 medium, 4 hard and most of the rest went hard then medium. I had a 3 second gap after my stop, but it was down to 0.8 at the start of the last lap.
