I just had 3 great daily B races, mostly because I didn't risk much and made no mistakes. I drove the M6,Mustang and GT-R. Moved 4,5 and 7 positions forward. I like Sardegna in both directions.
Anyway, what stunned me was the incident in the first race. A RCZ passed me on the inside of the tight downhill left. As aspect, s/he came in too fast, and I involuntarily helped this person to make the corner. than the RcZ started to attack the Porsche, who was right in front of me, before the incident. RCZ pushed him a bit, which triggered the Porsche driver, who went full berserk on the RCZ. As the RCZ flew off, shortly before those yellow markers for serving penalties, the Porsche suddenly had 2 second penalty above his car. I was so confused for half a second, but realised, this can only be, because s/he gave the dirty RCZ driver some of his own medicine. And in the next to races I saw 3!! other drivers getting those 2 seconds. Which shows how dirty the races were and that a lot of normal drivers are fed up with the dirty drivers and use self justice, which is promptly honoured with 2.0 seconds. from those 4 incidents I saw, 3 were just counter attacks.

But what really astounds me, is the amount of racers posting here, who are racing race C. I did one race there and after lap 2 I was so bored. The track disgusts me so much, it is, despite it's many courners, absolutely lifeless to me.

Thanks to all who commented in the last 3 weeks, I enjoyed reading it and watching your videos.
Those are track limit penalties, PD dialed them up for some unknown reason

I got 2.5 sec there in another race for not willing to make contact with the car on my inside leaving me too little room...

I agree, race C is rather boring. Safe but not all that interesting. The mandatory pit stop makes it even less fun, overtaking people while they sit on the bench is not fun.

3 races for me tonight with terrible results. I did also get my qualifying time down to 1:20.707 somehow which did gain me a few positions on the grid.

I start P10 despite my better time which was a big shock to me. I miss my braking point on the double apex turn on lap 2 and play catch up the rest of the race. Which I manage to do just fine until I clip the inside of the small kink before the final turn and spin to finish P13. Totally my fault. Whatever, mistakes like that happen.

Race 2 I start P4. On lap 1 I defend the uphill hairpin turn and get on the inside of the curb and loose a ton of positions. Turns out I got tapped and it forced me down below the curb. I get used as a brake in the final turn. I then I get hit and off track in turn 1. Frustrating isn’t the word for it. Thanks to the aggressive driving by others by way of fighting with each other and going off track, I end up P7 with a clean race bonus.

Race 3 I’m in P8 to start. I can’t get anything right and it’s impossible for me to get a rhythm going. I’m missing apexes and braking points every lap. It also doesn’t help the other drivers are so desperate to gain spots they barge through any sort of space you leave. Combine that with two massive off tracks from me and I finish P12.

It’s just no fun out there. I know it’s a 5-lap race, but yikes, finishing one position lower isn’t the end of the world. Any inch of space you leave is immediately filled with the nose of another car. I’ve said it before, if you want to get by me, do it clean through skill or by taking advantage of my mistakes. I’ll probably try again tomorrow and hope for the best.

Race B is actually a lot of fun, very hard track to nail every lap consistently though. Despite having a decent time in EMEA (1.19.6) i just haven't done well in the races. I've made too many unforced errors, been pressured into some and yeah punted off....rarely though. I've found if you don't nail the first corner (the right hander) it effects the next few, banked double right hander and the left turn at the bottom of the hill.

Race C should of been fun but it hasn't.....I'm absolutely fed up driving the way you have to drive the Lancer or WRX round Barcelona, crossing my arms over every corner, planting my foot on the accelerator halfway round the corner.

Super GT video around sardegna is an absolute world away in driving etiquette from my experiences. Side by side through turn 1 in two occasions and space given or tuck in behind. I’ve been punted about ten times there 😆

I've been enjoying Daily C, as I'm normally fairly strong at Barcelona-
I did 3 races on my second account yesterday and managed to add 4200 DR :)
I may pluck up the courage to use my main account tonight 😬

Hadn't had any laps around the backwards Sardegna, and had given up on Barcelona, so decided to have a cruise there last night. Just did qually laps in the Merc AMG GT and then the McLaren 650S, but my god that right hander after the banked left just before the penalty lines. I went off there so many times! Just cannot get the line right, dipping a wheel into the sand, clipping the wall, or being stupid and smashing straight into the wall! What's the line through there?!

I just started racing actively in Race B yesterday. The days before I tried to set good times there with the Aston Marten GT1, but I didn't succeed. I'm sure it's not the car, but I don't get along with him that well there.
Yesterday I tested my "favorite" the McLaren F1 there... and what can I say... I love this car and it's a lot of fun on this track. The "problem" remains that I have to brake earlier (maybe it's my fault) and less hard to keep control, but then the achievable speeds in the corners and especially at the corner exit are very, very great. And in combination with the power of the McLaren F1, things really get going.
I'm currently driving a 1.20.xxx there in qualifying AND in the race, because I keep making stupid mistakes somewhere on the lap and I feel the car is on the limit, really razor-sharp and "difficult" to move. A little too late or too hard/too weak on the brakes, or 5 meters too early on the gas and you lose a lot of time.
I really enjoyed the races in B last night, if I had made fewer mistakes of my own it would have been a great triumph for me. I have lost places from 1-3 several times through my own fault. What's worse is that the drivers in midfield and at the back tend to drive very poorly. This makes it often difficult if you e.g. making a mistake on the first lap is good to move forward again.
One such driver shot me down in the first "S" on lap 2 in the penultimate race. After the race, he said it was my fault because I brake way too early and am therefore way too slow. He said if I drive slower than him anyway, it's his right to shoot me.

I then looked at the race record and compared his speeds to mine. He drove an M6, he really always braked later than me, but when he had a clear path much harder and longer than me. At the exit of the S, since the speed is very important in my opinion, it comes out in the race at around 130 km/h, in the McLaren at 150-160 km/h, although I brake earlier. If I try to brake later and harder, the car slips hopelessly over the front wheels, becomes unstable and I'm thrown out, or I'm noticeably slower.
Of course, I also ask myself from time to time, am I doing it wrong, or are the drivers simply selfish and wrong? Maybe one of you can answer that for me.

Btw: I realize the McLaren isn't the best car for this track as is the Ford GT but I like them both a lot, they suit me and I can set identical times with them there. If I didn't mess up for a whole lap, an average 1.19 would be possible for me there, which would be enough for me personally.

Race B has been very bad for my SR - down to 68 - it's been at 99 for most of the last 300 days 😕

Run off track, and getting a 2 second track limit penalty for the for huge advantage gained (??!!) then hitting cars that are flying off and sliding in front of me. Much as I hate Race C this week, I'll just have to plod around and top up the SR, but likely reduce DR as I'm so sloooow there.

Not too fussed about the DR but the racing is filthy in B/A. Really hoping GT7 has some kind of penalty 🤔😕

After the left you keep to the left side of the track, then as you reach turn-in you lift a little, apex late and power out. Turn the cones on for one go to see where the turn in is, it's right after the single cone on the left

I quite like the flow of the track, but find the first corner and the one you mention pretty tricky too. It makes for some very messy racing as so many cars making errors or diving in

I’m having to let people go in front of me at t1 sardegna now. If someone is behind you then they can finish your race easily and they have on multiple occasions now.

I also HATE that idea of menus in a cafe it's that awful.. it's not skeuomorphism but that abstraction of what you actually want, just unnecessarily beautifying it when all you want is a grid of missions. I could go on to say that i also particularly hate the idea of those CUTESY animations of people stretching the car in the tuning menu i mean the whole thing is so bloody Nintendo.

I concur. The idea of staring at menus and grinding credits to buy a turbo for some 90s Mazda bores me to tears.
Then don't. I imagine that will mostly be for the campaign and some online lobbies. The sport mode elements will likely still be similar. And if the GR4,3,2&1 cars still make up the majority of the sport races then they will already be suped up for the most part anyway.

Geeeeeeeeeee GT7 looks like it's the total opposite of what I personally want. It's massive, trying to please everyone, there's the whole "tune your car to progress" thing from 1992.

I just want to race.
The tuning, car wash, oil change stuff I was glad to not have to sit through in GTS. That will likely get bypassed by me in GT7.

I'll be saving up for Gr. 1-4 race cars mostly.

Hey, I signed up for ps plus, Tuesday night at almost 10pm. I have only won one race , kinda disappointed. Then I tried the Sargenia B one and finished 7-9th. So it is more difficult in the online mode. They match your skill level with other players with the same one, mine is lvl 46. It's hard to get a good qualifying time cause I always end up going too fast and drive off the curb in the sand, my username is rising_glass1. Idk if you guys have seen me.

It doesn’t match with your level it uses your SR and DR ratings earned through the online races.

You might need to do the oil changes. In the previous games, old oil would reduce your engine's power.

Grand Theft Auto has poor sport servers. You know how
Ill be back to DR B soon and probably for the best. Can’t believe how bad the rooms are in low A. Like everyone is so desperate to protect their DR it’s just constant ramming, I don’t mean at the corners; it’s down the straights as well.
Come on in; the water is warm!

I've been bouncing back and forth between A and B for a while now. Largely due to the dirtbags but I admit that I have to get better at qualifying.

What I wanted from GT 7 was more cars and tracks. In Sportmode. But I realize I am in minority.
We all are, less than 5% of GT Sport players engage in sport mode...

More cars and tracks will come. The monthly release schedule should start back up again. Hopefully all the other fluff won't get in the way too much (oil change, I would need that twice a day at least )

I hope the daily workout wheel is gone or can be turned off. I have nearly 1,000 cars in my garage now, use about a dozen... Can't find anything with all the duplicates :banghead:
