I noticed both you and NC were off your game a bit, but Brandon, Cote and Ferrari seemed to kick it up a notch. :sly:

I was a mess today... Either way off pace or way too fast, no consistency to be found at all. I won't be around on Monday because of work, but if we do another Saturday at TM-R, I might how up for it.

I might give TM-R a go - I'm not the most enamoured by Reverse tracks, but I've been working on TM a lot recently - two TTs and the WRS Academy was there so I think I might give it a go in reverse. Will qualify a car and see how I feel. But definitely looking forward to anything at Laguna Seca, FF's or anything at all.

Q cars were the following tire wear off:

Peugot 207 GTi, Premium, 406PP, Tuned, 174 km/h
Honda Integra DC5, Premium, 402PP, Spec, 174 km/h
Mitsubishi FTO GPR, Standard, 403PP, Tuned, 178 km/h

Front Straight Max Speed - 182km/hr (113 mph)

Note: This is a dual compound race on Sports Hard/Medium Tires
If you cannot stay below the Max Speed on SH Tires, you must switch to SM.

Heat 1: 4 laps, fastest first
Heat 2: 4 laps, reverse grid
Race 1, 2 and 3: 8 laps, reverse grid.

FF in SH/SM, Ferrari it's time to dust that Alfa for a race and prove that it can win :) I tuned my Alfa for Trial Mountain Reverse on Comfort soft tire, lots of grip, now with SH tire, even better I guess, maybe the Insight can be raced too at Seca :embarrassed:.

In da lounge now :) Trial Mountain + Reverse are awesome tracks, love them since PSX days, flows and addictive, spent hours and hours just tuning + testing, I may have spent 150+ laps alone this week

Will be sharing TVR Tamora '02 tuned for Trial Mountain Reverse, handles just as good as Scion FR-S :) Feel free to steal it

I'm pretty much a newb at photomode, but I got bored and decided to try it out while tuning my "C30 Polestar Concept Prototype".

Not bad for an amateur...lol. I'm a total amateur myself, colourblind as a bat and without an artistic bone in my body but I've learned a few things.

Try pulling up the triangle menu and using photomode 2 or 3 to give the wheels and track the blurred effect of motion. It simulates the camera moving along with the car as opposed to mode 1 which is like a still shot. Adjusting the f-stop changes the background focus. The lower it is, the more blurred the background is, giving the photo "depth" and focusing the shot on the car, if that's what you want. Transferring from the game to here often causes some loss of brightness so it might help to up the exposure a few notches while taking the photo.

Premiums take the best photos by far but there is some loss of quality between PS3 and here. You can sharpen that up manually with a program like GIMP if you want the pictures to look a lot sharper. It can also adjust colours, exposure, contrast etc. And it's freeware. Many standards look terrible and need some more work or will look better from far away.

I'm no expert, I've learned most of this stuff in the last week myself..lol..with a lot of help from Watermelonpunch!!

That's literally the first photo mode picture I've ever taken in all the years of owning the game, so I know absolutely nothing about using it... I just wanted a clear picture and ended up being marginally successful.

Sorry JP, my start button suddenly goes awol :/ on both DS3 and DS2 connected to PS3 .. but only when in track. Weird bug, it works now after I restarted the game ( I left as you left by using XMB ) Hope I didn't do too bad at the last race :) I think I was on CS, detuned Vantage around 455+PP. The Alfa is a beauty ...

I've wanted to race this car since I first saw it, happy to finally get it out of the garage. After minimal practice I was just under the max speed and about a half-second over target, with a little more practice I expect to be right at the target time. Good little car, not as sexy as that Maserati but still nice looking. See you all this evening. 👍

Hey guys, last week I had my first 'parity racing' experience in the WRS. I am happy to been introduced to this type of racing. I asked Cote dazur if you guys also race during weekends and he told me there are races on saturdaymorning. Now this time slot would fit me at least every two weeks... so if possible I would like to join you all on saturday 16 March 👍

Already looking forward to it ;)

It will be a pleasure to race with you, welcome to DNE racing.👍

I feel like showing up tonight, despite hating TM track. Can I show up in a very fast car and work as a cameraman filming the fight for the lead? ;)

^ I kinda like that idea. Except that camera vehicles are usual Range Rovers and probably couldn't stay ahead of the field. :boggled:

I have a tuned range stormer concept, lol.
But it might be obstructing the view of braking/turn-in points....

I'm heading into the Lounge to secure the top spot but I may not be in front of the tv for a while.

Some very good racing but a lot of inconsistency from the track and the PP/tire combination. If we make it back here we'll probably go the other way and slow it down a bit. Lap times were all over the place too. Many of us could have DQ'd but we'll let it go this time since we were all in the same boat it seems.

That Maserati was a pleasure to drive, definitely much more relaxing than an NSX. Skipped out on Race 2 & 4 because of time constraints, but the races I did show up for were definitely fun. 👍 Going to have to drive that car again sometime. :sly:

I shouldn't have ran today. Showing up w/o at least two dozen laps in a car, with target time nailed, is endangering this format. Not doing it again.

I'll mark this date on my calender as the turning point in your GT5 career..."Ferrari likes something other than an NSX"

Well said, thank you..👍👍

I spent on average 5 to 10 laps when tuning+testing a car on Trial Mountain, when I like certain car like the Viper, Maserati, FR-S, Ferrari's, NSX and quite a few others, I usually just cruising around, and sometimes 15 laps didn't feel a thing. I think I spent close to 200 laps in total last week just driving many cars on Trial Mountain Reverse.
