Hi @derekspeare ,

I'm currently building a new rig and I want to do the mount now for one of your short throw shifters that I'll be ordering soon - do you have the dimensions and a drilling template at all?

Also, do you have an international version with fixed price shipping or do I order the US version and add the shipping cost from there?

Hi guys,

I've recently purchased a DSD Pro Sequential Short Throw.

Firstly, the delivery time was amazing. Being in Australia I've become accustomed to buying things from the States and having to wait quite a long time for it to arrive. My shifter was sent ahead of schedule, and the actual shipping was very fast.

Next thing, the shifter was very well packaged. It came nestled safely inside a thick cardboard box which was then enclosed in 3 layers of bubble bags. It is in perfect condition, and looks great. It has a nice black case and a carbon fibre look plate / gate on the top.

As for the shifter itself, I am pleasantly surprised by the feel of the shifter. I had expected a rock solid and stiff shifter but from videos I couldn't tell if it had a feeling of actually engaging or if it just felt like I was pulling or pushing against a spring.

I'm happy to report that the shifter DOES have a very good feeling of engagement, it requires a good amount of force to get it to move, and then it moves quickly into a position that kind of feels like its locking a gear in to place as opposed to just spring resistance.

For mounting the shifter, I have just finished my new rig so I made a mount for it while I was welding it all up which is basically 3mm thick angled steel off one of the uprights. It is very strong and this is vital for this shifter. To get the feel you want out of a shifter like this it needs to be mounted with zero flex.

The shifter has 2 posts out of the side to mount it. It is designed so that whatever material you are installing it to goes in between the nut up against the side of the shifter and another nut on the post. I didn't like how far out that made the shifter sit from my bracket, it made it look kind of flimsy so I installed it so that the bracket went right up against the shifter, and used a single nylock nut on the post and cut off the remaining thread. That's the beauty of such a simple design, it's easy to mount the way you want to.

This shifter feels amazing, there is no doubt about it. Coupled with the great service and what I would say is a very reasonable price, I would highly recommend this shifter to anyone.

Thank you, Punknoodle, for taking the time to post your thoughts and observations :) We've done our job when the customer is pleased with his DSD Component. Thank you for using DSD!

My pedals are now 3 months old and still the best pedal feeling operation in my sim buying career.

These pedals are awesome in so many ways. I have won races because of them, not all, but enough to know it is the equipment thats helping me achieve this. The individual pedal operations are smooth with no rattles or clunky noises. I did oil them though but it is part of maintaining them.

I removed the abrasive tape after it destroyed my shoes so it has smooth faces now allowing me to even race without shoes, but it is not recommended for long races. Without shoes I do notice that I can do with some height on the heel plate but that is minor.

These pedals are sim candy and a pleasure to use.
