Does anyone else feel like the star roulette tickets are rigged?

It’s totally rigged. Absolutely! 100%! No way that i got the lowest coin reward so many times out of dozens of tickets.

I’m sure there is something in the game code to give you for example 85% of the time the worse price, and 15% of the time one of the other 3 prices.

Just in case anyone needs definitive proof that the tickets are pre-determined, I just got awarded the 'No Car, No Life' trophy, for adding my 100th car to my garage, before the spin even starts. I opened the ticket and up the notification popped, and yes I got the GT3.

That's pretty damning.

Can you share that on PD's feed somehow?

Decided to play after today’s 1.09 update, did the Trial Mountain grind, got a two star ticket from the daily workout…

Got the RE Amemiya RX7…

Unexpectedly pleasant reward definitely for me

I get 5k regardless if it's a 1 or 4 star ticket.
Doing hundreds of kms/day, level 32.
If it's not rigged, then it's a crappy predetermined system designed to offer mtx, rather than reward use.

Lol at people saying "welll, its not rigged, exactly..." If you go to a casino and there is a roulette wheel where one slot has an unequal chance of hitting by design, no matter how unequal that chance is, that game is rigged. Period.
This should literally be illegal. This is no different from all of this loot box crap that has been in the courts. Scummy devs. When this gets changed, all of the apologists can go back and play GT Sport and keep their rigged roulette.

I watched Super GT's newest video that he released yesterday. In it, he claimed 3 roulette tickets and every one of them was 5k credits. I was laughing my butt off because it was so predictable. 🤣 Clicking on the video below should take you right to that specific part.

Good for him, I'm sure he's taking a risk to his livelihood from being black listed by PD but he's doing the right thing speaking out.

Correct.

This is not analogous to that.

Why would PD black list SuperGT when he's just stating facts?

3 predictable small amount of coins in 3 tickets.

100k for 200 laps of the Nurburgring which takes a day to complete.

Less than 100k per hour in Online races because you can only do 3 of them per hour.

PD certainly have seen the fans not pleased with the measures they implemented on the game and are already preparing to undo their wrong-doings.

My current ticket history of the last 5 days:

4 days ago - 3* - 5k
3 days ago - 3* - 5k
2 days ago - 1* - 2k
1 day ago - 3* - 5k
Today - Semi-Racing Exhaust for Wicked Fabrication '51 (A CAR I DONT OWN)

DEFINITELY RIGGED :banghead:

If they were intended to be daily rewards that, due to FOMO, players would be compelled to log in to play every day, then their design leaves much to be desired. The vast majority of the time they feel like ‘prizes’ in name only (and I suspect have the opposite effect than the one intended - diminishing interest in their continued acquisition).

rigged you bet iv open the same ticket like 10 times by closing the game im just savein up the daily tickets

not "rigged", but also misrepresented by the 'roulette' name and the spinning wheel of prizes that suggests you have an equal chance of each option.

They totally should advertise the drop rate of each option available, which is probably about 95% chance of the worst option from my experience.

To be fair he didn't change the difficulty to "Professional" which would increase the payout to 125k, and selecting the Gr1 class in Car Category increases the payout to 364k. But the point still stands...

... .................... Yeah... bro. That was obvious.

He didn't even bother making those changes because they were irrelevant. 200 laps of the Nurburgring, or even any track aside from the small Oval track, should pay close to a million and more regardless of the difficulty.

3 days in a row, smallest money prize for the daily workout, 5k each time.

The weighting on the roulette really needs adjusted, should be an equal chance at getting any of the rewards.

(Also, if you get a Ultra Turbo, it should be available for all cars that can equip one, not just one single car.)

Finally....

My first real payout....

Got my first 4 star roulette and won the 787b engine... now to install in an rx7 or not...

Had 3 cars and 2 x 1 million plus lots of misc parts and lowest payouts - my opinion is it is not rigged!

That it pays out the lowest reward 90% of the time despite the lowest reward being only 20% of the roulette means that there is an unequal weighting of the outcome towards the lowest prize.

Therefore it is not a fair roulette either.

Probably better to ask if they aren’t rigged. 9 times out of 10 I get 5000 credits but I have once got 500000 credits from a pile of gold bars. Hopefully the winning prize rate will be adjusted but it seems they are determined to Be as stingy as possible. 🤞for a heavy duty rotary. The noise from the Mazda vision is pure porn.

As stated before, they're not rigged because they're not actually roulette spins. It's a gift ticket with a superfluous animation attached instead of it being like the "compensation ticket" we all got for a million Cr.

This isn't damming in any way really.

The roulette is purely an animation, with the prize decided the second you open the ticket. This is done to prevent users from doing what they do in GTA Online with the daily wheel spins on there - which is turning off your console as soon as you see a poor prize result.

It's quite a common anti-cheat mechanism that Devs implement. If, however, each prize had a 20% drop rate - even if it was predetermined at opening of the ticket - would still be a fair representation of a roulette ticket and thus not rigged.

This particular video proves nothing in isolation.
