Oh damn! I thought that I forgot something!

I'll put it on share as soon as possible!
Hey Doc where is your GT-R for the 600PP Shootout at? I need to test it and its not on share.:odd::confused:

I drove your enzo track tune and found it completely undrivable. I also tested the PVR enzo and that was a bad tune also. I have made some good enzo tunes with standard HP and weight and now, after testing these two harder tunes, I have come up with a harder tune of my own. Coming up with settings for the harder tune was quite difficult and I am still not completely finished with it.

I think a generic soft tune is better than your tune: standard ride height, default FC suspension spring rates, all damper settings on 4, anti- Roll on 2, camber on -2.0, toe on 0.00. Thats what I will start with typically with all my tunes.

Well, bear in mind a few things.
1) Dr_slump is god-like with cars, and tunes them for those of his level.
2) The F60 is, as I've said in a thread somewhere, not a car worthy of the Enzo name, and as such, is riddled with faults.
3, and probably the most important) It's all about opinions. One man's trash is another man's treasure (I think it's how the saying went…), just because it didn't work for you, doesn't mean it won't work for everyone else.

One last thing. It's RVR, not PVR

Well then, as a mere mortal, I'm curious what kind of lap time that car can do at suzuka in pactice mode in the hands of a god-like driver.

also, apologies to RVR. I was just reading my own scribble in my notes.

Hmm……well, I'm guessing in the low 1:50s or 2:00s…but doc, you up for this challenge? Crack 1:55.000 in your Enzo?

And don't worry mate, when they first came here, I thought they were RRV, the old RKM

Uhh! What happened!
Mr Grado came, said that I and RVR suck at tuning and now I've to prove that I'm fast? WOW!

@Mr Grado
I followed the Enzo comparision done by Adrenaline and saw that you won. Well, that's why I tried your tune and found it very good, but I saw some potential in it. So I did my own Enzo tune and I, you won't believe it, was faster with mine.

I'll do some laps on suzuka, without driving aids, of course, and will let you know.

I'm not your fanboy, I just thought I needed to clarify to him. And just you know, MrGrado was part of Avid.

Just my two cents here but regardless of who he might have tuned with before, maybe especially since he was part of a tuner here before, what gives him the right to make such a negative post in another tuners garage? If you have issues with a tune its okay to say so and offer constructive criticism. But to just make a blanket statement that your tune is worthless and someone elses tune is nearly as bad (when he can't even check to make sure he's got the right name even.) is uncalled for and inexcusable.
Personally Doc I wouldn't even bother trying to prove your tune to someone like that. If your happy with the tune its good and those who use and enjoy your tunes will continue to do so. All trying to prove your tune to him would do is give him more exposure and reasons to continue such abusive behavior towards you and other active tuning garages.
Keep up the good tuning and don't get completely lost in the drag scene, some of us still like to turn occasionally!

It was never an excuse. In fact, if Leon saw him post that, he'd be barking at him for days. He hates people who doesn't have any etiquette and manners. And I just asked doc to prove it cuz I wanted to observe the master of driving (not tuning) at work. And yea, come back to the world of corners when you have a chance eh? I (and I'll only ever say this once) miss you!

HAAAAAAAA!!!! I see....... :D

Sadly, the situation is critical. Think I won't be able to get out soon, otherwise they would kill me! ;)

You're online right now? In the mood to do some laps on Suzuka, your favorite track (at least I think so....?)?

 why? Wheelie-ing?

Ok, I've been dragging the monkeys, so it'll be a good time to get back into the corners for a while…

I tested the tune again. For some reason I find it much better now. I take back what I said about the tune being undrivable. Also I have finished my full enzo tune, well LSD and Suspension anyway. I got a 1:58.944 with my tune and that is with a big slide. My tune will go up in my garage in a few mins.

I can see how the front shock values on your tune work I think. The car quickly shifts weight off the front after breaking.

Completely forgot to mention this - I have two reviews involving your Veyron tune now, albeit both of which aren't quite in the right place to get the best performance. Still, it made for some cool photos :D

First one
Second one.

Enjoy. ;)

Well done!

Important Notes
You don't really need the first gear....

Just tried this tune on Sports Softs, sans gearing. It actually works very well too for non-racing tires if you're judicious with the throttle. The car may not feel that much faster (though the plow understeer is definitely less pervasive) but it is markedly faster than anything I could come up with to the tune of 1.5-2.0 seconds a lap. :) The only thing I might change, and it's very minor, is to dial down the spring rates just a tad for non-racing tires. Thanks for a good set-up here.

....I'm a bit surprised that it works well with Sport tires. But hey, thanks for your interesting feedback. 👍

Tuner: Dr_Slump's Car Ambulance!

Well I have to say this Trial Celica tune is one of the most unusual FF tunes I have ever seen. When punching in the numbers I started thinking this is a joke. How are these numbers going to work? I mean ride height +10/-20??? And a rear toe of -0.40. I can only assume it would shred tyres in a race with tyre wear on, but I never race with it on so I'm actually not worried about that.

But when it came to putting the car on the track all these seemingly random numbers some how work together and makes this the best FF tune I have ever tested. (I admit my FF tests are limited to only a few cars) there is a lot less understear than I though there would be from a300+BHP FF car. the lack of understear meant it actually went round the corners so will. a slight dab of the hand break to bring the back in line on the tighter corners plant my gas on again and it was off again, pulling down the straight with a lot of force.

Off the line on deep forest and into the first big left hander. I picked out the same breaking point I use for FR cars and for the first time I had an FF that just went with it got me to the apex with out just sliding across the track to the outside edge. through the bendy section and again I picked my FR line. I did need the hand break at times to swing the back round on some of the bigger corners. This car just loves corners. it takes them with easy one at a time and makes then easy.

I made it round deep forest in 1:26.048. Yep you read it right. A very low 1:26 in an FF car with me driving, unbelievable. To add to that I think on a good lap I'd be able to get it down in the high 1:25's I'm amazed. Now I believe this is a race car of sorts but that ever it is it's now amazing with the Dr's tune on it. I have only managed these sorts of times with MR or FR cars. I'm even sitting around the mid 1:26's with FWD cars

I found I didn't need to add engine tune 3 left it at 2 and I was running it on sports hard tyres not soft.

I was so impressed with this tune I dug out another Celica from my garage ans added the tune to that too. see how it fared up on a standard road car. It wasn't as good. I got round Deep forest in 1:28.xxx so it only really works for the Trial Celica.

Great tune. really impressed with how this goes for an FF car.
Thank you Dr.

Driver footnote.
Testing was done with a DS3 and in offline mode.
My driving skills are a little lacking so the times set are a reflection on my driving not the tune. a good racers will be able to post a much better time with this car.

Well, as the car that won the FF summer shootout, you'd expect it to drive half decently.

Didn't realize that. Well i think it was probably a worthy winner then

I'll have a look through the shootout thread and check out other FF tunes

Yea, it's a car with a fair amount of pedigree, being the fastest car there by quite a margin.

It's in the F.I.T.T thread, in case you didn't know.

Just found your garage through the link in your sig. I'll be trying out some of your tunes soon and providing feedback. Is there any 1 car in particular that you'd like feedback for to begin with?
