Bad news:
Dubstep is dying.

Good news:
As less trendy and more underground again, the genuine enthusiasts of this genre can go back and listen some good tunes, without so much comercial appeal and "trend whores" around it.

I've always been a fan of the underground stuff. There are some amazing local producers here in my home town even. Never liked mainstream dubstep. Found more flow and emotion expressed in underground đź‘Ť

Its not dying. Just being forgotten. Still a lot of good Dubstep coming out. DnB is still going hard too, and its been around longer and people are still push'n out awesome tracks. Imho Dubstep is better suited to be underground, like most other electronic music. Dubstep wont die... lol

I'd say only about 10% of the dubstep producers I listen to have quit. Unfortunately, it's most of the best ones and also, I haven't heard any good new artists at all in the last year or so.

Well, Bassnectar just released another EP which was a guarantee awesomeness because he is incapable of producing crap.

Try to find a site that specializes in knowing and releasing the newest of electronic music so you can stay in the know. I would tell you but linking to other forums is against the TOS.... i believe.

I just found this Band called "Enter Shikari", who uses a lot of Dubstep.. although its rock.
Have a gander, maybe you like it. But not every song is of course like that.

and here is a drum and bass mix of nero :)

I dont listen to dubstep much, started listening when i found DomesticMangos montages from forza on youtube. I dont know if anyone already posted this, but I found one channel on youtube which uploads good dubstep, house, electro,... music and it is called PandoraMuslc or Pandoric http://www.youtube.com/user/PandoraMuslc.

orchestral dubstep?

Oui, French composer/producer Arkasia. He started out writing mini-operas, but, didn't like it as much. Instead, he writes orchestral dubstep; using orchestral melodies and instruments with bass patches and such.

I really do recommend that you check it out. It's actually pretty heavy dubstep, but, with some cool melodies that aren't dissonant (i.e., Skrillex.)

Anyways, (not orchestral, more of an oldie-styled liquid song,) I'm listening to this one recently:

Lykke Li's voice is awesome, regardless of song.

So old, I remember listening to that in 2010, I think.

Don't get me wrong, it's a good song, but, it's a classic now. Well, as far as some dubstep goes into classic.

Eh, most of Mt. Eden is just a couple of years old, hardly classic anything yet.

As for Arkasia, most of his work seems rather uninspired - I got bored with it very, very quickly. While he does make decent use of melodic and orchestral devices, it is lost with the rather cliche and harsh drops that just distract from everything. Especially when you have producers like Seven Lions, which manages to turn most anything into gold. Melodic gold.

Seven Lions is one of the favourite producers of one of my best friends.

I don't mind his music, but still prefer some more underground names (Jernalism, Ghosts of Paraguay, etc.) a bit moer.

However, yes, Azuremen, that's a good song.
