Would love to know who it is. We can safely rule out Jonathan Adam. He, for me, is a full-fledged GT racer now methinks who will be with Beachdean Motorsport in the BGT's this year.

I am guessing it has to be Paul O'Neill.

Paul has said he's not racing and if he can't get the funding for speed works who lets be honest have a smaller budget, how will he get the funding for motorbase?

Your forgetting olli aswell.

Well not sure if Paul brings money - I thought speedworks where tryin to get the funding rather than Paul. Plus motorbase have more money so it could possibly Paul but fair number of drivers still without a drive

Mr Fusion
It's a matter of opinion really. Personally I think it's hideous! :yuck: I guess you could refer to it as a 'marmite livery'.

I think the livery isn't as good as it could be, but I think the car on its own in NGTC spec looks amazing. One of the best looking NGTC I reckon.

Anybody know anything about paddock access for Brands? Looks like there's no general access at all, other than the pitlane walkabout @ 9.10 on Sunday.

One of things I don't like about brands is the lack of paddock access.

edit: WSR eBay Motors BMW M performance parts NGTC 125i looks awesome... it will be my avatar soon.

Mr Fusion
I agree it's a great looking car; just can't say the same for its paint job!

I reckon you'll slowly like it. I didn't like the MG paint job for 2012 but slowly I got used to it and liked it.👍

I love the livery. :embarrassed:

I reckon if it was white would look better but I still think its a good looking car.👍 but Rob's Audi looks the best.

Geez, the cars this season are great!

Sadly you've hit the nail on the head - paddock access at Brands is pass holders only simply because of the size, so you'll need to make the most of the pitlane walkabout.

Bit of a mouthful? :P

I can't wait to see all of these cars on the grid, its going to look awesome and colourful! Especially if we really do see 30-car grids!
I'm looking forward to see what team HARD's Insignias and Passat(s) look like next!

So what colours are we missing? We might need some more red cars now Motorbase have switched to Airwaves blue? I guess we've got the AmD Golf at least.
Presumably some of Gilham's cars will have a bit of green and pink ;).
Maybe some silver or purple? :P

John Cleland to return in Super Touring Vauxhall Vectra
Former double BTCC champion John Cleland is set to return to racing with one of his old Super Touring Vauxhall Vectras in the 2013 HSCC Super Touring Car Trophy.
“This is proper Super Touring era. I’m going to get in touch with my old engineer to pick his brains and see if he still has any set-up sheets,” said Cleland to Autosport.

Cleland is planning to take part in two races at Brands Hatch and Oulton Park this season.
“I don’t want to come out with it until it’s absolutely right. I’m hoping the series really takes off this year. It’s got legs,” said Cleland.

The Scot has bought a Triple Eight Vauxhall Vectra with chassis number one, the very one he raced in the 1997 BTCC and Bathurst 1000, which later was sold to Sweden.
“It and a sister car went to Sweden and Alex Schooledge bought them back. His preparation company Outpace has restored it in Bathurst colors and he’s done an excellent job. It’s original right down to the seat,” said Cleland.

Another former BTCC racer to take part in the series is Patrick Watts who has bought two 1998 Peugeot 406s from Australia.
“I saw the Super Touring cars at the Silverstone Classic last July and they looked so good. Paul Grimm still had the cars so I phoned him up in Australia and he said he’d love to see them out again. He bought the entire team at the end of the ’98 season and they were still sitting in his showroom. It’s a little bit of history and they are classics in touring car terms. It is the first car my daughter Aimee remembers me driving and she’s now 18,” said Watts to classiccarmag.net.

Can't wait.

So tech-speed are finally back with Joe Girling:
http://btcc.net/html/generalnews_detail.php?id=3344

Great to see tech-speed back and yet another S2000 runner! Thats a 28-car grid possibly taking shape at Brands!

An announcement on Newsham's teammate at Speedworks is imminent as well..
Pretty sure Girling was announced a while ago, just only now the car is built.

And £10 on Lea Wood at speedworks.
