Something along the lines of not sharing it's silhouette with a 4/5 door model, which is IIRC correctly what the regs state.

Pretty sure there is a minimum length as well, approx 4000mm I would think?

What are the top selling cars in the UK? There are no Kia Optima, Soreto. Hyundai i40. There are Proton but no Mazda6 or Subaru Legacy. I remember when the change from Super Tourers to hot hatches came about. The field looks jumbled with the different sized cars on the grid. I'll always like the racing because I want to see racing cars on a circuit. It's just, the cars should be more uniform. If they're going mid size sedan, everyone should do it.

Ok so latest Impreza or Evo 10? If standard handling is better than the line up then surely a track preps version would dominate?

I was gonna mention these two but, did they stop selling Imprezas in the UK? I'm not up to date on what's available.

It looks like different classes racing. To my eye, the Passat looks like it should be in a bigger class with the audi and Insignia. The Proton, MG, Focus look to be in another class. The Civic and 1series in their own class. Where as in Super Tourers all the cars looked the same size.

Maybe the A4 should switch to the A3. The Passat team use the Golf again(I know the Gen 7 just came out so its a bit late) to match up with the Focus and 1series.

O5XR8. Super Touring era - 1994.

Tiny Mazda, regular size Carina, and a big ass Volvo.

Anyhow, another new make for 2014?
Team HARD launch Paul O Neil campaign.

You might see something of an evo turn up shortly.

Oooooo..... Really. Now that would be awesome and aggressive.

Well no but the WRX Concept looks close for release soon.

Surprised no ones picked up a new golf yet. Im not a golf lover (more hater) but mk viii is awesome.

It looks like different classes racing.

This is only because too many motorsport series have become spec formula in the last 10 years.

We should be encouraging diversity, not asking for everything to be the same.

To me, this represents a far more exciting and interesting grid than a grid of 20 clones:

Admittedly there are 6 classes in that race, but within each class the shapes and types of car vary quite a lot. The classes are based on engine capacity not shapes.

Well they were only filling the gap left by Formula Renault UK I guess, now we've got Formula Ford instead.

I'm all for diversity in racing. The way they make the current rules is so no one has an advantage anymore. No AWD, no V6, V8, Flat 6, 12A/13B. I like Production car racing whether it be from Touring Car Masters here in Oz to Run-Offs at Lime Rock Park.

On a slightly off topic side note, Rob Austin's cameo in Rush is well worth the fuss he has made about it. :D I thought it was going to be a barely-noticable-background-chatter type line he says but he actually has a pretty obvious and memorable line to say. Also managed to spot him at least once in shot through the film, its like playing Where's Wally.

That was an interesting race. Jackson has a good shot at race 2 in my opinion.

Fantastic Race 2 for Austin! Absolutely ecstatic that he and RAR have finally got their first win, thoroughly deserved.

Missed all the action as I have been out. Dan Welch has fractured his pelvis apparently though :(

Congrats to Rob Austin for the race 2 win, some good racing today in the greasy conditions. I'm not much of an Andrew Jordan fan, but he's driving well at the moment.

2nd, 3rd and 4th separated by 4 points, could get interesting. With a power circuit next, Plato could easily get back into the mix for Brands.

I'm assuming Welch had a nasty crash?

Edit: ahh, thanks to the interntet I'm now up to date on what happened.
