Duplicates you actually want to see in GT7

I'd keep goin but you don't even know the name of the cars. much less what people do with them.
I'm not sure I would call that racing pedigree. Thats people taking their Jimny's out on the track on what looks to be a track day. No competition other than the clock.

The M5 at least has some history in competitive wheel to wheel racing:

We have the '97 champion, the '99 champion and the '00 champion, so why not the '01 champion?

Considering the reception to Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 '18 at that car's launch, updated race cars (especially in Gr.3) are bound to get the similar reception if the cars are just evolution updates (or a fictional-to-real switch, eg. NSX Gr.3 to NSX GT3 Evo22). (I wonder if the AMG GT3 Evo '20 did hit with the same reception? Granted it was during the same update as the SF23, which was that update's spotlight. Ironically, the SF19 and SF23 also has an issue with duplication due to the different powertrain variations.)

In general, I will let the following "dupes" slide:
Acura Integra Type R (DC2) '01 (preferably if with Acura ARX-06)
Honda NSX Type S Zero '97
Honda S2000 '06
Mazda RX-7 Type R '91
Mazda RX-8 Type S '07
Nissan GT-R '07
Toyota Supra GT500 '00/'01
Toyota Supra GT500 '05 (if in Gr.2 in conjunction with 2006 Z GT500 and 2011 HSV-010)
Porsche 911 Turbo (993) '95
Subaru Impreza (GD "Bugeye" and "Hawkeye")
Subaru Impreza WRX STi Ver.III '96

I've not looked at the GT7 car list recently, but most of these don't look like they're variants of cars that are on it - per the examples in the first post...

Not sure if I had also mentioned this, and I'm not 100% sure if it even counts, but I think we could use the road-going versions of various race cars. Most notably the following:

Alfa Romeo 155 2.5
Alfa Romeo TZ
Audi RS5 '19
Audi Quattro
BMW Z4 (E89)
BMW M6 (F13)
Lexus SC430
Mercedes-Benz CLK-LM Road Car
Peugeot 205 T16
Volkswagen Beetle (A5)

Then you could say something similar for the inverse:

Alpine A110 GT4 (Gr.4)
Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR-LMH (Gr.1)
Audi R8 LMS Ultra '12 (Gr.3)
BMW M4 DTM (Gr.2)
BMW M3 GTR Race Car '01 (Gr.3)
Chevrolet Corvette C8 GT3.R (Gr.3)
Ford Escort RS Cosworth Rally Car (Gr.B)
Honda Civic Type R-GT GT500 '24 (Gr.2)
Lamborghini Diablo GT-1 '00 (Gr.3)
Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione Rally Car (Gr.B)
Lexus LC500h GT300 (Gr.3)
Lexus LFA N24 '12 (Gr.4)
Maserati MC20 GT2 (Gr.3)
Mercedes-Benz 190 E Evo II Race Car (Gr.4)
Nissan Z GT500 '24 (Gr.2)
Porsche 911 (992) GT3 R (Gr.3)
Porsche 911 GT1 '97 (Gr.2)
Porsche 959 Rally Car (Gr.B)
Renault 5 Maxi Turbo (Gr.B)
Subaru Impreza WRX STI GT300 '08 (Gr.4)
Toyota Prius GT300 (Gr.4)
Toyota GR Supra '24 (Gr.2)

-'94 Mazda Miata M-Edition [US] (so I can drive my exact car)
-'92 Nissan 240SX Coupe [US] (the "Onevia" with the KA24DE, so I can drive my exact second car)
-Any pre-facelift PS13 180SX, 200SX, or 240SX.
-'93 Toyota MR2 Turbo [any] (to have the best example of the pre-facelift model present)
-Any A70 Supra besides the GT-A. Maybe a 1JZ model?
-A pre-facelift FD RX-7.
-RWD Skylines (R32,R33, and R34)
-A Hi-Ace in the touring trim with the Conversion Van-esque features.

Off the top of my head, that'll do.
