I've had no issues with DLSS personally. It gives good stable frame rates.

Your comment about "frame rate seems lower than 60fps" probably isn't related to DLSS but instead to the stutters people have been experiencing. They happen even with frame rate counters showing stable framerates, which sounds like your issue.

Most of us have just had a few shader recompilation stutters when driving new tracks for the first time, but some have been hit with worse stuttering. I don't have that so can't really help you fix it. I can just recommend making sure you have the latest Nvidia drivers and normal things like that.

Or just buy an Xbox Series X and not worry at all. 🫣

My Nvidia driver is the latest one.

The stutters due to compiling shaders are definitely something different.

The issue I have with DLSS is a constant thing. Almost non-existing when driving in cockpit cam under dry day conditions. In 3rd person view it's much more noticeable. It is worst when driving in the dark with lights on.

Some of the most worrying things i read and saw are, that many stages have road surface not having much abrupt, short bumps, dips, potholes, grooves..
Making it less fun, challenging, and with character,
and that the Ai and difficulty of challenges arent up to par, when in dr2 it was pretty damn good,
And of course the smooth nice graphics lacking,
Lastly, the dumbdown, weird, unintuitive physics, controls.
Even career seems plain.
Oh and the silly pep talks ala dirt series.🤣🙄. 'Good boy'..

Anyhow, enjoy an unfinished product.😁
When you read, check a review from a non sponsored, non early code provided serious simmer, you get the full story better.
You're welcome😋. Yeah im grumpy😁. Whatever.🤣
Haven't check the trial yet though, you never know, might feel cool still, to a point.
Sick for now, with a toothache, so.., might wait a while, plus for patches.

I wonder if the trial offer is for always, or time limited, with ea sub..

I certainly am enjoying it. It's only been officially released for two days and hasn't even received its first update yet. But at least I've played it.

In fact, I can't stop playing it.

I noticed, I thought I’d some good hours in it and then saw your numbers 😅

I have DLSS on and it runs fine, the occasional micro stutter but hardly noticeable and certainly not off putting…

@RYAN kudos to your fantastic time in the Finland moments trial

I think I might stick to the GTP league thread for a while. The constant negativity is akin to the hell of the Official Discord server. I thought GTP expected people to be better than the usual internet rabble.

People of course should voice Opinions, Dislikes and Annoyances but when multiple people who clearly haven't even played the game keep whinging and even start sarcastically mocking people who enjoy the game it all gets a bit old.

Well, I gave it an honest try and unfortunately I feel I'm just destined to always suck at rallying with a wheel.

Using a controller now and the game is a blast and I can see myself spending lots of time in career mode, I just hope there isn't an arbitrary limit on the amount of years.

That some great driving ✌️ WE should repeat something like that 😉
We had some great battles 👍🏻
I am always in for some friendly leaderboard competition 😊

So many stages ( which is great ), bring it on :gtpflag:

Feel free to post a stage time or upload a video ( goes for all of you on this forum ).

Going to do my best to beat you…☺️👊🏻🇸🇪

Thank you, Much appreciated. 😊👍

To be fair I kind of knew where I was going as I saw a couple of people run it a few times in the creator Early Access a week or so ago 😂

Only thing I want to see improved in career mode ASAP is the AI difficulty.

It’s one thing knowing where you‘re going, but to us mere mortals it’s another thing pointing the car in the right direction 🙈 as a fellow Welshman I doff my cap 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

I'm still here, with the old DR 2.0 (I hope I open the editor, to create some paintings for all of you):

That will be an easy job mate since I am getting old and don't have the same amount of time to invest anymore 🤣

I didn't realise until I started it that the official WRC club rally was 18 long stages but had no choice but to see it through the end.

Just started the second season of career and Max Lucre was so ecstatic he bumped me up from Junior to WRC2.

Unless you're one of those people who reckon this game is way too easy, Monte Carlo in the ice and snow is not an experience I'd recommend if you fit the wrong tires. Talk about bringing a water pistol to a gun fight. I had to crawl through the last five splits but luckily I'd built up a good lead and had to laugh when I saw the winning margin. Luckily I had the AI dialled down to 73% difficulty.

Yeah but that is so well done. You really feel the différence on dry and icy patches. I love that. Hammering the throttle and then on ice you must be patient. Monte in winter is an absolute pleasure 👍

It wasn't one on asphalts, mate :D

But yeah, I'm glad it wasn't a uniform surface as I could still get some grip on the non icy patches even with crap tyres.

Glad to see I’m not the only one who names their co-driver their real name.

To be expected... I named mine after my favourite Co-Driver. The legend himself - Howard Davies

After my Monte Carlo adventure my car was a little worse for wear. It'll buff out.

I hope those race suits are warm. So much for hood view giving me maximum visibility... 🫣

Someone uploaded this on Racedepartment:

Basically different engine.ini tweaks, also some exposure adjustments it seems. Tried this on my ongoing career mode event in Sweden and the game does seem to run better with less stutter and not as overexposed/washed out in daytime snow event(maybe a bit dark now, so I actually crank the exposure back up a bit).

I'm the same. Although I can drive with the wheel, I'm so used to the wheel in ACC it's all a bit frantic in WRC. It was the same in Dirt 2.0 so I'm using the controller and having a blast.
I did the Arauco stage in Chile earlier, the longest one. Took me 27 minutes and I loved every second.
Also the male co-driver sounds so much like Nicky Grist from the old CM games it's uncanny

I have the same problem, 56 years old 😃 and not playing as often as I would like.

Maybe we could set up a small club so we aren't obliged to run the same conditions and tod 🤔

Btw yesterday evening just before I went to bed, I tried Sardinia and m I thought : man this is gorgeous. It looked polished, detailed and up to standard I would say. Great stuff too. 2nd time the game gave me that wow-factor after Greece
