Personally, I think its really ugly. I'm not a fan at all. And the name is stupid, though I guess they ran out of founders to name it after.
Terrible name, gawd-awful looks. I hope the P1 blows this thing out of the water.
The styling isn't bad, but it isnt' my cup of tea. I'd rather have the 918, P1 or Huayra. And the name is terrible, I'd just as well refer to it as the F70.
But I don't really like the P1 much more. It's does look better imo, but I still don't think it's nearly as inspiring as the Mac F1, just looks cool. It's gonna be really interesting seeing the battle between these two huge projects play out. Funny how people are so quick to jump to their sides of the war already.
If I had the money and access... I don't know which I'd rather have D:
I've had a look at some pictures of the P1 and F150 side by side, and I have to say, I prefer the way the P1 looks (nothing to do with McLaren being British and there 'factory' being about 10 minutes from my house ).
From this angle, the F150 looks a bit of a porker...
You know, the Alfa 4C has same problem, a huge area with no detail or styling whatsoever.
New car hatism? How about the other side of the coin, Ferrari fanboyism. That's a bigger problem. This forum suffers from new car hatism. Most new cars a portion of the population just detest it, at first.
This LeFerrari thing. They should name the successor to this TehFerrari.
What's up with the 458 looking headlights? Haven't we seen enough of them already, on two other Ferraris.
And the side mirrors, boy do they stick out. Thought this was a Ferrari, not Pagani?
Only thing that looks decent is the back half. Love that long panel gap stretching from one side to the other. Kinda like the F40, with that line going all around the car.
The front just looks all messed up. The vents on the hood looks out of place, like it doesn't flow with the rest of the car.
Also, I think someone has said earlier, the wheel are just a little small for the car.
Edit: Oh, and that upside down limousine spoiler stuck at the front intake. I know they're just trying to match the vertical line at the back but its really not working at the front.

There's no escaping poor design and this car is a glaring example of it. It's a disgusting mishmash of Formula One cues, retro Ferrari cues, and modern Ferrari cues. At the front we've got a pointy F1 nose held up by a table leg on a boomerang with 458 headlights. At the rear we've got some sort of tunnel/bar/tube/thing strung between gigantic round taillights, held up by another table leg which would descent straight down to nowhere if it weren't cut in half by a license plate. And a rear fog light straight on an F1 car which just looks boy racerish. Don't forget the rear wheels which are actually large but appear tiny because the rear haunches of the car are seriously bulbous and bland.
Then you've got the McLaren P1 which is as smooth as a stone shaped by a gently flowing stream. It's complex but organic. Kind of like the Mazda Furai which we all agree was a stunning piece of wind-swept design.

It's not "new car hatism", just "new Ferrari hatism". Keef's attempt to draw attention to the fanboys doesn't hold any validity considering that just about every new Ferrari thread that has been posted on this forum, was met with the same comments this car has; "It's ugly", "It's hideous", "Ferrari can't do anything", etc. etc. This forum suffers from new car hatism. Most new cars a portion of the population just detest it, at first.
But then slowly begin to love it, over time. "It grew on me..." says some. lol
Going by your previous post and this one its seams pretty clear that you are the one who suffers from fanboyism! A lot of people think the P1 is "ugly", I dont as i like it but its design is not as flowing like you try to paint, It looks awkward. Your post are giving off some kind of inexpicable butthurt!.New car hatism? How about the other side of the coin, Ferrari fanboyism. That's a bigger problem.
