^^ if it would come to penalties were screw*d :( So I hope it won't come to that and van Nistelrooij just makes his moneys worth....

made in holland
That's a good point. But i think they'll play as a team this time, because for some players it will be the last chance for something beautiful.

And Davids is doing a hell of a job keeping everybody motivated and together. It's a real team this time.

Except Avocado has substituted him... :D

^^ whhaaaahhaaa The Dutch win ater PENALTIES well that's a first!!

Wasn't the best match to watch though......(well atleast untill the extended time)

Zlatan LOSER :D

GO HOLLAND

IT's TIME TO PARTY

WOOOHHAAAA

:D

TOLD YOU SO, GUYS!!!!!! GO HOLLAND :P

I'M OFF TO HAVE A GREAT PARTY, LET's GET DRUNK :D :D :D

Well, that was a rubbish game. Not really any clear cut chances to either team although they both hit the post/bar a couple of time each.

Congrats to The Netherlands for exorcising their penalty demons.

Was Zlatan Ibrahimovic slipped a backhander by Ajax bosses? Or did they say he'd never play for them again?

*conspiracy theory*

:D

Well done Holland on going through to the semi's  must have been pretty tense going to penalties but you came through in the end (unlike England) 👍

Hope they give Portugal a good thrashing ;)

Yes I know its a bit late.

Hah, that game was boring. No goals. Lots of fouls. Holland win by one penalty.

people always have to complain, the fact that there were no goals scored and that it wasn't the best match ever doesn't mean it was interesting to watch!
Both teams got their chances to score......but that didn't happen unfortunately.
The only thing that counts now is: Holland goes thrue to the semi's!!!

Who's the man? Edwin van de Sar.......

Who is this man, thinking that he can just miss a penalty?

What's really scary is that the Final WILL be refereed by one of the quarter-final refs. Two ruled out perfectly good goals (the Greeks scored one earlier, but the ref didn't think it had crossed the line. In the end, that one didn't matter so much) and the Holland/Sweden ref wouldn't allow play to go on for more than 25 seconds without blowing his little whistle for something - he played advantage a sum total of once. A good referee is one you barely notice is there, not one who wants to draw attention to himself throughout.

Let's just hope Collina is in charge of Denmark/Czech Republic.

Edit: 10 minutes to kick-off... Are all our Danish and Czech members getting antsy? :D

Not the way things are going.

0-0 at half time (64% to 36% possession in favour of Denmark)
3-0 to the Czechs after 71' (Koller, Baros 2). Baros is now the tournament's top scorer with 5, ahead of Zidane (out) and Rooney (out) with 4.

Wow, for my money the Czechs are favourites. Shutting down Tommason (sp) is not mean feat. The Greeks are surely the underdogs for the semi.

They don't play nice soccer, they don't get much chances but every chance they get ends up with a goal....unfortunately.

But if that is the way it has to be, let it be.....

If they dont play "nice" soccer, but have ended up as one of the most free scoring teams in the champs, I would like to see what they can do when they do play "nice" soccer. 👍
