Just so we're clear, if all 4 wheels are off the track during qualifying, is that lap allowed?

The pen system will allow you to cut some corners even if all 4 wheels are off the track. I noticed some people cutting the last chicane with all 4 wheels off the track. I was under the assumption this isn't allowed and therefore i didn't abuse this. If i knew it was allowed, i could of shaved off at least 5 tenths with ease.

If all 4 wheels are outside the track, the lap will
not count.👍

The red/white curb is part of the track, but not the
green part!

I don't agree, on some tracks the rumble strip is huge and i scrubbed some of my laps on quali because of it. I could of knocked loads of time off if i knew that was allowed.

There are 4 corners you could cut with ease.

I copied this from Online race guidelines.

"Any kind of rumble strip made of concrete, stone etc are part of the track unless otherwise stated in the Race Specifics section of any given event."

The game itself will give penalties if going outside these rumble strips.

Well, i've always seen the rumble strip to stop you from spinning out if 2 wheels go over the lines of the track. They arn't there for you to cut over them and help you gain an advantage.

On Fuji, there is tarmac on the outside of the rumble strip which is there as a "run off" but we're not allowed to use it.

Futhermore, the pen system will allow you to go further off the track than the rumble strip and it also allows you to use these tarmac areas.

I count the track as Tarmac. Always have and always will.

stop crying willy.....

anyway im looking forward to the moment someone beats my time coz they couldnt turn up today.....

It would be easier to judge from the replays, if anything outside the white line would be the off track.....but We go
with the Official GTPlanet Race Rules&Guidelines.

Think also that going wide in Fuji is only giving You disadvantage. The fastest driving line in Fuji is inside the white line.

Even if i kind of agree with you (I had a similar argument once in another league), it is best to be consistent with all the other racing at GTPlanet.

As for Fuji, the green run-off areas out of the first and last turns are not part of the racing track. Regular use of these areas will warrant a time penalty.

I can´t stand how inconsistent I am at Fuji. Yesterday I drove a couple of very low 1,33,xx but next lap can be 4 seconds slower. And just when I thought to have the right tune the front tires burn down in 5 laps, fml.

I will get a practiseroom up at 13:00GMT

Both Races will be at same time, if Rickie is hosting Race 2.

Both rooms will open 19.30 GMT.
DEADLINE for entering is 19.45.

I would really appreciate if You ALL came in time,
(for the FIRST time in HISTORY).:)

You really can´t concentrate as a HOST on the
event when theres coming unreg people all the
time. If room is FULL, You can.

Think Yourself in this kind of situation.
You´re hosting the quali. You´re on your best lap,
but have to pit because You have to kick that unreg Guy in the Samba Bus.:grumpy:

Yeah its a tricky one, my best is 1.33.202 but race pace will be more important.
