Safety car would only make it better when it comes out at the pit time. Which happened 3 times to improve the race, but at any other time it would be boring

And all the cars would need to be equal online.
We already know they won't be - but points will be awarded relative to where you finish. So if you're driving a Lotus in a race with one of each car, you'll still get a points haul if you beat a Toro Rosso despite the fact you're six laps behind the winner.

really bad, this year the SC decided almost half of the races, it becomes an extra rilevant element in an f1 race.

I'd rather concentrate on the fantastic things we are getting, such as the best dynamic track and weather system ever seen, than worry about the things that are missing. Would it be good to have the safety car? Absolutley. Is it going to ruin the game without it? Absolutely not.

Be thankful the first part of that song goes
"When the blood dries in my veins and my heart feels no more pain, I know I'll be on my way to heaven's door"

Oh, and after seeing this my advice for people who want to drive realistic F1 cars and don't care too much about the media side is, wait for Rfactor 2. RF1 is already the best F1 sim out there by a long way.

I don't want to get into the whole price argument but I can download 200 carsets 500 tracks that are 99% the quality of iracing for completely free. Instead of paying for a subscription and then for the cars and every track I want to race on. Don't get me wrong, I have a currently outdated iR subscription which I have purchased cars on, and for me RF is such a better choice.

As for F12010, I think it has the weather and the officiality over the other games and mods, but it could fall short in the driving department.

It's Codemasters, so the handling should be pretty good.

That's the wrongest thing I've read for a while. That's like saying: 'It's a Corvette, so the interior should be pretty nice.'

Although I am now siding against myself if you think of Toca race driver 3, it wasn't too bad.

Thankful? What am I being thankful for? Am I being thankful for the way I just threw up a little inside my mouth?

Be thankful for the fact that it wasn't in the video is what I was getting at.

That did make me laugh out loud. Codemasters are the masters when it comes to unrealistic handling. Ever since they stopped doing the 'proper' McRae and Toca games it has been woeful.

You'd have to admit that the EGO engine has come a long way from when they first started using it though. If they go through enough iterations of it, eventually it will become decent.

Personally, I'm not expecting RF levels of realism out of it, but I am expecting a game in which you have to make an effort to drive in a relatively realistic manner in order to be quick.

Beg to differ. Race Driver 2 and 3 were also excellent.

It runs on a modified Dirt 2 engine. So meh it's probably going to feel awful. But the game is more strategy based.

You know, Codemasters have only been getting the point across about it being a sim for the past 6 months. Clearly, it has not sunk in at all.

Just to point out, no virtual thing can be classed as a 'sim'. Yes, people can call it realistic, but calling it a simulation of the real thing is an overstatement. Add to that the fact that nobody here or on the Codemasters team has ever driven an F1 car, and Anthony Davidson only gave advice. So whatever the outcome, those who haven't experienced it can't compare it to the real thing.
