I just saw an achievement for going over 220 mph. Which means we might get the awful slipstream of f1 2009 :yuck:

Tunable downforce, and a suitable circuit should make it doable. Remember, that if you want you can ring it out all the way down the straight at Monza and just not brake for the chicane at all to get the achievement if need be.

Didn't the 2009 cars reach 220 at Monza last year? It's doable, doesn''t seem hard to do either.

Its definitley do able, just set the car up for minimum possible drag. It doesn't say you have to be using race set up or anything. I like the 61 poles achievement, could be a tough one to do.

Apparently it's "take victory from pole position 41 times in your career" on here http://www.xbox360achievements.org/game/f1-2010/achievements/.

It's called Schuperb so I guess that's the number if races Schumacher has started from pole and gone on to win.

You could probably get about 10 of those acheivments done after your first career race weekend...

220 mph isn't impossible ot d owithout going extreme. The F1 cars at Monza go that fast.

Getting many of these achievements on Professional difficulty (or expert or w/e they end up calling it) should prove quite challenging. But since the vast majority aren't tied to any specific difficulty setting, the challenge associated in acquiring those on "easy" with damage turned off should be laughable :indiff:.

It would nice nice if 20-30% of the achievements were tied to accomplishments set on the highest difficulty settings to help separate the wheat from the chaff, but oh well.

I agree but I doubt they will be as the 'newbz' would complain that it is too hard to get their Platinum trophy. :indiff:

Some new screen shots have appeared.

These screenshots look like paintings.

Not sure if you mean that is a bad thing or good thing.

The Monaco looks a little weird but a dev over on the official forums has psoted to say that the Monaco one didn't have the final lighting build on it.

What I don't want in F12010 is some sort of daft storyline mode that completely spoiled the TOCA series from the PS2 ones onwards. The career mode should simply be about creating a driver, joining/creating a team, and climbing up the ranks season after season amongst the other real life teams and drivers.
I do not want any stupid pathetic cutscenes that follow a story. That Scottish bloke (yeah even though I am Scottish) from the PS2 TOCA games was a complete plonker.

There is a 'live the life' theme, which means you attend press conferences, etc where you have a choice of answers to questions and your answers affect how you are perceived by other drivers, teams and your own team. So do well on the track and say nice things about your team and you've got a better chance of getting upgrades before your team mate. Saying nasty things about other drivers may affect how they race against you, say good things about other teams and they may be interested in you for a future drive. But there is no pre determined story line.

Gfx are not a problem they look great. First shot of Mercedes looks beautiful but I think MS helmet is not perfect by any means. Looking carefully again even the car doesn't look great. But the gameplay is most important thing

Oh he irritated the life out of me. I must have damaged my disc too, because he insisted on repeating everything over and over until the end of the race.

'You're now in first place. Place. Place. Place. Place. Place.'

That must have been annoying as hell. Bad enough that he seemed so smug about everything but to have him rap to you as well......

Saying that, wouldn't be brilliant if Codemasters could presuade Murray Walker to do the commentating? His unintentional gaffes and one-liners during past F1 races were absolute gems.

That would be brilliant.

"And it's Damon Hill in the Williams! This car is absolutely unique! Apart from the car behind it, which is identical"

Why? It's likely the game will allow you to skip through them. Provided you set at least one lap time, you'll be able to pick it up pretty quickly.

I would probably compete in over a quarter of the practice time. It's just why do they bother putting in an achievement for that
