A USB controller. It's basically a 360 controller that plugs into a USB port. It's not the best; the limited steering range (compared to a steering wheel) means that the steering is both sensisitve and heavy.

Im hopfeully getting a gaming desktop soon for iracing so then I can play all these games on PC.
So many people are saying the xbox version is better but, in the screenshot comparisons the xbox version looks rubbish. Add in the lack of steering wheels and the fact that If i had an xbox it would probably be broken right now and theres no chance Im ever buying a 360

Every time a game is released on multiple platforms, the XBox version is always dubbed "better".

Usually because whatever the multiplatform game is, it's usually optimized for the API the 360 uses (D3D9) and is then ported over to the PS3 which uses OpenGL ES and Cg (the latter of which is likely the sole reason GT5 looks as good as it does), and basically unless the game is exclusive chances are the resources in OpenGL aren't going to be utilized properly.

Got mine from shopto this morning. Just about to install this beast.
Probably the reason then. Still, a shame other shops have beat shopto but the price is very good though.
I actually live about 5 miles from Shopto HQ which is handy! Only about 15 from Game HQ as well

PC is running it the best of course, but actually it seems more reports agrees the XBox version is running better, and looking better than the PS3 version, as usual. Screenshots cant relate that.
Also you get Fanatec Wheel and you can use it on XBox and PC and PS3. Also the new CSR line is coming out, a lower end one from Madcatz and a few others, so the wheel drought for the XBox is over.
Not sure where all the hate for another gaming console is coming from, but really...such a bold statement to not try another console even though it seems to be running games better...

I'm taking 130R at Suzuka no problem. I'm just using the stock Ferrari, no aids in time trial and the single race, cold tyres and even grass and dust on them but its no bother. Note its the PC version with the Fanatec PWTS.
I can only assume team VVV needs to look at wheel settings.

Just got it and I noticed how the car is so much more on edge - if you go off track you may even flip over on a bump. India's a tricky track, will be fun. And for career I signed wit Williams, i'll keep ya posted on how I get on here. Overall, so far so good.

Something that should be obvious is the fact that you have to make adjustments if you want to have the best speed/time for tracks. The default setup is fine but you will need to add more downforce for tracks like spa or suzuka (anything with long fast sweeping corners) especially with traction control off. I noticed a huge difference once I made setup changes

Raced a 20% online race last night; only 2 of us with rest AI (Legend setting). I Qualied 17th (1:15 050), the other human qualied first (1:11 something) Rain, started out on intermediates. Much harder than 2010, but each lap more enjoyable; finally have my G 25 settings OK

Not sure if I've missed anything but its no aids, no tc using a stock Ferrari in TT and a race, tyre sim is on. I also tested on the lowest downforce setting and still no probs. Apologies if I've missed something as I haven't been following the thread on codies or Team VVV's video in great detail and just started playing the game today. No mods or anything.

It's included in the box, so you won't have to pay for MP if you're getting a new game. Many publishers are doing this nowadays...I can see their point but well...not cool, bro.
On a side-note: what does it mean if it says (for example) "-0.349 PACE" with violet background? Does that mean I'm 0.349 seconds faster than the person behind me or is it something different? Oo

A lot of companies are doing this now. If you buy the game new there is a code in the box for the VIP pass and if you buy the game used you'll have to buy the pass from the PSN Store for $10. It's to recoup some money they lose form people buying used games. It doesn't bother me one bit though, seeing as I buy my games new.
