That usually happens with online pre-orders because they send it by the cheapest post, not guaranteed and it usually turns up the next working day if first class or 3 days after they sent it if 2nd class. They send it 5 days before if it is 2nd class though hence why Shaggy got it two days early if they did send it by 2nd class.

Anyway did you compare to F1 2010 box. Does it have number 2 region on the back. Is it a sticker or actually printed? If it is an import then you should have words with the company.

Just got the game. A few days later than I thought, but still a few days earlier than the rest of the pal territories. Will be playing on ps3 with a pad. Any questions, send me a pm and I'll do my best to answer tomorrow but please, no daft questions about sponsor decals.

You can build up a better rhythm with the car, oversteer is correctable by reducing throttle and countersteering gently. I've even been able to prevent a spin when in a pretty nasty slide, though of course losing speed.
The thing about the handling this year is that when the back end of the car goes out, you know it was coming. The loss of grip is expected and progressive, unlike last year where it was sudden.

Sounds ace, its always a problem on the pad since you get no steering feeling. To hear that you will know about a spin with enough time to react is good, since on F1 2010 the first chance you knew was when the car was at 90 degrees or more to the track! Can't wait to try this out now, was concerned that the new handling looked very light and DS3 unfriendly!

Mine will probably arrive tomorrow. I only got the dispatch email today but many have had the dispatch yesterday.
I actually pre-ordered the game 2 months ago but I guess its just random who gets sent out first. Normally I don't bother preordering and this will be the last time I do such a thing with shopto.

Its more likely to be a location thing, if it has to travel further then they may send it earlier to anticipate the increased risk in a delay.
I have 2 preorders of the game from shopto made at very different times. I preordered it for myself on PS3 first chance I could. I preorded the second version for my brother on Xbox at the start of the month. Both have been dispatched, I expect both will arrive together tomorrow.
Got 2 copies of Fifa arriving next week, again from shopto, and I expect the same results.

I just bought my copy. I haven't installed it or started playing it yet, and I won't until I have completed a uni assignment - but I just wated to say I got this awesome little 2Gb USB stick shaped like a Formula 1 car with the game.

Okay, so I played the game, and I'm getting a noticeable slowdown in a couple of places when I'm racing. The main straight, Turn 3 and just after the fast chicane at Melbourne all noticeably drop off on a regular basis. It's a little frustrating, and I find the normal frame rate returns if I change my racing line a little bit. Even with low settings. I tried running a benchmark test, but the car spun and then just sat there for ten minutes. It's not completely unplayable, but I would like to find a way to improve it.

What system are you playing it on?

A laptop with a quad-core processor. I got it earlier this year and it handles DIRT 3 - Codemasters' other EGO Engine game - just fine. The only difference between my system and the game requirements is that I'm using a Radeon 6550 graphics card when the game needs a Radeon 6570 (and there's no such thing as a Radeon 6560, so I've got the next-best alternative). I suspect it's just my computer being stubborn. The frame rate doesn't drop as often when I run longer sessions, so I think it's just my computer being unfamiliar with the game. It did happen a little bit in DIRT 3 to begin with, I think.

How do you steer the car? I would never imagine running racing games on a laptop as being a good idea but what do I know....
Hopefully the PS3 version works OK for me, Dirt 3 has a few frame rate drops and I live with them
