Now i know "Hard Compound" Tyres are in the game :)

So sexy.

Because the tests are done in seperate cars. Al least so it seems: Red Bull, McLaren, and Ferrari.

Alonso, Schumacher and Raikkonen up top... hmmm, wish that was always the case this year!

I like how this is looking, but I noticed that Hamilton was driving without a Front Wing... surely he should have been called in? Also, there seemed a lot more bumping than should be allowed? Perhaps that's just because it was on an easier mode?

Haha, I noticed also him driving without the wing. But even if this was on a easy difficulty (at the start it says "custom", so we don't really know), he should be called into the pits. Also one other thing, I'm still seeing pretty choppy graphics on the cars (text etc.) ?! (or is it just me)

Looking forward for the demo to test the physics engine...

Does anyone really actually think the graphics or frame rate will be DRASTICALLY improved from 2011 game? I can't see how considering the turn around time for each title has only been a year.
I think in order for you to see a drastic improvement Codemasters would have to start from scratch.

Well I personally hope for a small improvement. I'm not expecting GT4 -> GT5, but give us some small improvements regarding the graphics and the physics. They have the models and tracks...start optimizing the pixels/or polygons (can't remember which of those are used in games - if any?) :)

It's never a good sign when "InsideSimRacing only shows the XBOX version of the game. They hated the PS3 version the last go around :nervous:
Considering there are better wheel options for the PS3 version you'd think the review community would be all over the PS3 version :nervous:

Mr. S
They can't hide issues anymore once the demo has been released. Less than 10 days to go. :)

True that :-)
Speaking of which, ISR interviewed Steve Hood a couple of months ago. They took a question from one of the online questions submitted. Oddly enough, the question was "will the PS3 version be improved to match Xbox performance?" If body language is to be a true indication of the truth, then we're in for a possible disappointment. Hood did not look amused, but he did answer. I'm paraphrasing... "we have a dedicated team working on the issue"

Here's the issue...many if not most developers just can't develop their games as easily as they can using direct x for the Xbox. Just read the plethora of articles on the net. Even some of Sony's internal studios have said certain projects are just so hard. I just read recently the developers of Skyrim are close to abandoning DLC content for the PS3 just because they can't make it work. Works for every other platform. Doh!
I love my PS3! I just hope we get an improved and equal to XBoX F1 game. I have a Fanatec CSW wheel and F1 rim ready to do this!

Let me take a step back. I just re-watched the interview. Stephen Hoods body language is actually positive. He does state "a massive leap" for the PS3 version and top people have worked on it as the platform is important to them.

Let's just see what their definition of a massive leap is :-)

Nah, from what I've seen from Gamescon PS3 version will be fine.

Inside Racing did the ferrari legends review on a XBOX as wel. I believe their console preference is XBOX.

Go back to post #308 of the thread. It's clear the PS3 version will be much improved this year.
