I don't know but nearly all the people I know complained about it, I really want 2012 to be a better game with the new modes too

Yeah, I think people are exaggerating it a little bit. The graphics weren't as good as those on the 360 and PC versions, but they were still by no means bad.

It's true that the graphics weren't that bad, but seriously - they were actually bad. Don't remember that we are getting really nice looking games for both the PS3 and Xbox, so when Codemasters say in an interview that "they are pushing the hardware" - that's bull#%*$!! How come GT looks so good, or what about even the other wanna be games (Shift 2 and that stuff). The graphics are bad people (and don't get me started on the frame rate), but as long the gaming experience is good, I can overlook it, it's all about having fun!

Don't you agree?
 
I can't bare to look at 2011's graphics even on PC anymore. They're way too cartoony and colorful, and aren't realistic at all. iRacing's graphics are much better. Hell, F1 2010's graphics were better.
 
Sorry I don't feel like reading through 22 pages. Can anyone answer these two questions for me:

1. Will the cars be as equal on the game as they we're at the start of the season?

2. Will the Sauber have the Chelsea logo?

1. Yes, the cars might not be that even but certainly more even than last.

2. Yes I am fairly sure.

1. What do you mean? All the cars will have slightly different performance.

2. Yes, you can see it in the latest Dev Diary. 👍

Well I regularly play retro games and I play on ps3 exclusively nowadays so I can't compare to the pc as a benchmark. Graphics are the least of my worries. The frame rate was fine in 2010 and 2011, but there was the odd dropped frame. That could be improved and then I'll be happy graphics wise.

No. I don't agree. Gt was in development for years and is a single platform game. To expect similar quality from an annual, multi platform game from a company that doesn't have Sony throwing money at them is unwise. The graphics aren't "bad" and nor is the frame rate. They're not excellent either but I don't let that get in the way of an otherwise great game.

1: haven't read about that, but I'd assume that
Cm have taken the early races into consideration in relation to performance. I'm sure I saw Maldonado near the front in one trailer. That's surely a good omen as he wasn't anywhere near it in 2011 in the game or real life.

2. Yes.
 
I hated the way the Redbulls were so dominant in 2011 and they were in the game too. I hope there is no dominant force in the 2012 game.

Shame, looks like I'll be driving for Lotus-Renault this year again.

Really? Whenever I play, it seems that Webber, Hamilton and Massa are dominant. Vettel seems to qualify fifth at every race. It's almost like Codemasters didn't watch the season at all.
 
I can't believe the whining about the graphics in F1 2011! I can't really fault them, and this melodramatic over-reaction to a few frame rate issues is just laughable. If F1 2012 had exactly the same graphical quality as F1 2011 I wouldn't care at all.

Wasn't surprise in the slightest.

Yeah ive watched every qualifying/race so far this season only problem is that Codemasters probably started making the cars speed before the season got to so many different winners.

Really? On legendary the Redbulls always 1-2 on mine. And I mean "always" so annoying.

I think it differs from game to game, on mine the Mclarens were always taking pole, but wouldn't always win the races.

Everybody has their own opinion, if they can do it on xbox 360, they can do the same on the ps3

Today we’re very happy to announce the final dates for the F1 2012 demo! Starting next week the demo will be available on the following dates.



* Xbox 360 - 10/09/12
* Playstation 3 - (USA) 11/09/12
* PC via Steam - 11/09/12
* Playstation 3 - (EU) 12/09/12
* Playstation 3 - (Japan) 24/09/12

The F1 2012 demo will allow players to try out two of the game’s new features, the first day of the Young Driver Test and the first race of Season Challenge at Monza!



It should be noted that the game’s toughest A.I difficulty does not feature in the demo. The Legend A.I difficulty option is only present in Career and Quick Race, both available in the main game.

I have a feeling people are going to automatically think the demo is gonna be the same as what the full game will be and then start hating, but if they do and don't buy the full game it's their loss and they won't know what they are missing.

Anyway only 1 day 6 and half hours to go. :)
